Speed Detection Radar
srodriguez1101 replied to RacerX1166's topic in Miscellaneous Topics That Do Not Fit in Any Other Forum
Did your Radar Detector give you any warning signal during the approach or after you passed him? Was it a gun type or was it hard mounted to the vehicle. Both Radar and Lidar are gun type. Radar and VASCAR are vehicle hard mounted and also record speeds to DVD. Some of the new Lidars take a photo of your car now with the speed in the photo. There is also something called VASCAR which is time and distance using a computer. Visual Average Speed Computer And Recorder -

I have an SVI IMM 38 super comp with no blow holes just the comp. I have been trying to find a load but everything I try showes primer flow. I ordered a new XL Firing Pin and spring. Is is ok to trim the firing pin spring to get the firing pin stop to fit? If there is anyone else with an SVI IMM 38sc with no blow holes could you please let me know what type firing pin and spring you are running along with what load. Any help would be great. Thanks, Santiago

I got mine and I do notice a difference in the web of my hand and trigger finger. I presently have a Glock 21 with a grip reduction I carry every day. I am sending it off to Bowie Tactical for a grip reduction and stippling. I will post picks of it now stock with Warren tactical sights and post picks when i get it back from Bowie. I would say it is between a small frame and large frame. S. Rodriguez

I would like to remove my sight rail on a SX2 and replace it with a Doctor Sight on the barrel. Is this something that needs to milled off? Is it soldered on? Who works on these shotguns? If anyone has done this please advise. Thank you in advance!!!!! S. Rodriguez

Best Comp/brake For Tactical Division?
srodriguez1101 replied to eringobragh's topic in Rifle - Technical
Take a look at the "Jet Comp" by D.R. Middlebrooks, I have one on my AR and swear by it. shoots flat and no recoil. I will post some close up pics of it tomarrow. S. Rodriguez -
I have a LTR 700 with a detachable magazine in 308. The optics on the rifle is a U.S. Optics SN 3 with a Wilson Combat illuminated reticle. I also have a U.S. Optics SN4 on my ar-15. If you decide to go with U.S. Optics you won't go wrong. Not cheap but the quality is the best. I attached a photograph. S. Rodriguez

Surfmaster, No reason other that when I purchased my open gun it was gray. I kept it the same for the shotgun. Thanks, SRodriguez

In Arizona you can be convicted of DUI being under a .08% BAC. The ARS code is 28-1381A1 Physical Control / Impaired To The Slightest Degree. If you are above a .08 then your license will be suspended by MVD. If you are extreme you get an interlock device, your license suspended and also your vehicle gets towed / impounded for 30 days due to the new ARS 28-3511 Law. Still not enough punishment in my book.... Need stiffer laws and penalties. .05% would be better... S. Rodriguez

Harmon, Keep up the good work it is Officers like you and me that keep our families and friends safe. I have lost loved ones to a drunk impaired driver. To the Officers that don't process Impaired drivers due to alcohol or drugs should realize that you are not helping by giving these people a ride home or calling someone to pick them up. What happens is that next time they will expect to be treated the same so to them it's ok because they were not processed before. (Next time they might kill someone if we don't stop it.) I work for a department that aggresively enforces the DUI laws. I have even come into work on days off to process an impaired driver on alcohol or drugs. Remember if you see an impaired driver on the road call your local police or law enforcement agency and report it. You will save a life. Rob in Arizona if they refuse the license is suspended for 12 months or 2 years if there is a prior suspension for DUI. Next a Judge is called and we do a telephonic search warrant for blood. We don't have the problems in the court to have the processes admitted if everything is done correctly. I don't know how to post videos but if you do a search for the group Simple Plan and the song is called Untitled. Watch this it showes the dangers of DUI Collisions and what the family and First Responders go through. Stay Safe, S. Rodriguez

Best Scope For 3-gun/combat And Varmints?
srodriguez1101 replied to Trumpet's topic in Rifle - Technical
I love my USO SN4, I use it on patrol and 3 gun... This is a true 1x to 4x scope. -
Thanks for everyones input... I did trim the spring a little and it appears to be functioning well. I also purchased a 1lb each of VV N350 and VV 3N38. I am going to make some new loads and hit the range again to chronograph them. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again! S. Rodriguez.

I looked at both firing pins and the original one / short firning pin lets the spring go up higher on the firing pin. The long firing pin stops the spring from going up higher. It appears that the firing pin compresses the spring and botoms out before the firing pin stop will go on. Harmongreer is your spring the stock length or did it need to be trimed. I will take a photo of both firing pins and post it. Thanks to everyone for your help... I hope to get this thing working soon. S. Rodriguez.

I took off the removable breech face. No other springs. I found a post that was posted and it said to cut the spring coils to be even with the top of the firning pin... When I did this the FP stop does go in but once the hammer falls on it the firing pin gets stuck. If anyone has a removable breech face and a long firning pin what did you do to make it fit and what type FP did you purchase. Thanks, S. Rodriguez.
