  1. I will have mine at the FNH 3 Gun Championship AM/PM/AM schedule if you want to check it out.
  2. Mine is cut back right to the serial number. The cut even follows along the angle of the "7" which is the last digit in the SN. I will repost pictured when I can.
  3. I would say long range rifle is the one skill that is never an "optional" at matches.
  4. I replaced the rear and just started filing on the front until I got the POI I wanted. I measured with some calipers and ordered from Dawson. Also, Dawson has a nice formula that's you can use to calculate proper height https://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+FRONT
  5. Awesome! Not that anyone cares, but I like that change. Same here! Likewise. Now there are bounds to how much my suck on any individual stage will affect my suck on the overall match. I am really looking forward to this match.
  6. I used the SM Trainer App during a short practice session the other day too. Now that the bluetooth is working correctly it worked well and was really cool and will be a great way for me to track progress on standard drills.

  8. What you would do all depends. Do we have enough time to reset the street if you stop him first?
  9. You will love it. You could do as much or little at you want. Out of the box they are great and I think it's my favorite gun to shoot. I got the comp hammer, an aluminum trigger, Dawson fiber front and Adjustable rear sights, large CZC magwell, aluminum grips, CZC 140mm basepads plus CZC mag springs and followers. I have also done a lot of work on grip modification, frame shortening, and etc. I use my TS 9mm for 3 gun and I bought a Czechmate slide racker but haven't installed it yet because it wouldn't be legal at a match that I will be attending next month. My only complaint with the CZs is that it doesn't leave you with much real-estate for racking the slide. Short of the slide racker I have put quite a bit of state tape on the rear of the slide to make it a bit easier for those empty chamber starts. I have also considered slide lightening in some strategic patterns to make it easier to rack the slide but no specific plans yet.
  10. It's times like this when it really wish Enos had a "like" feature. +1 to kurtm

    Crack?

I just double checked. Yeah, I can see my firing pin moving through that hole. It's possible that it has always been there and I have never noticed it. I don't know that it would cause any issues but it was certainly alarming to find.

    Crack?

I can try tomorrow. It looks like that slot was milled too close to the firing pin channel and there is only a flake of finish that has been separating the two. I can pretty easily use a pick to probe inside that hole but haven't taken out the firing pin yet to look for any intrusion. It seems to me that this would be a manufacturer defect but I don't know if it would actually cause any issues. I have had this gun for about 8 thousands rounds but this is the first time I have noticed it. Thoughts?
  13. Necessary if you have a filing put plunger. Shadow models should be good to go without.
  14. I believe the Czechmate grip is the same size s the TS. The CTS is also a TS frame but CZ Custom has removed the cast checkering. You could always get a TS or Czeckmate and sand/file off the checkering and get some thinner grips if you don't mind the work.

    Crack?

What do you guys think this is? Will it be a problem?
  16. Dulles (IAD) would be the best option followed by DCA. EDIT: just don't take a wrong turn at DCA.
  17. and you do have to keep in mind that many are newer shooters who may not have the gear or skill for those 20 plus yard shotgun/pistol steel. You know, the guy with the fixed cylinder choked 870 who is reloading off of a camo loadbearing vest of some kind and whose skills with an XD just isn't going to cut it for anything that he couldn't reasonably hit with a rock. I am not saying don't have it but balance out the difficulty.
  18. Disclaimer: don't shoot your friends Fixed! I really need to look over my posts a bit closer before before submitting.
  19. Let me add that having friends to shoot with who were working towards the same basic goals and having a few choice local mentors were huge benefits.
  20. I dislike them. We spend all this time and effort learning how to load shotguns and throw it away by designing stages where you would never need to reload (or sometimes even use) a shotgun. My best assumption is whoever designed the stage either doesn't like reloading shotguns or thinks they are a better pistol shooter than average... or both
  21. Any information about stage 10,"B C Steel? " It wasn't in the match book.
