  1. A guy at our local club uses cerakote and it looks pretty nice. I am not sure of the benefits of cerakote other than aesthetics. Anyhow, nice job. You are blessed with some awesome capability! I ran a machining department for 10 years at my last company and could only dream of having my own CNC machine.
  2. Your vise looks rusty...need to increase your coolant mix. Nice job on the slide work! That's what I would like to do if I had the equipment. Do you intend to coat the slide or leave it with the machined look?
  3. 4.6gr IMR 7625 with Berrys 124gr is good for an easy 1050fps. I do run a 14lb spring and steel guide rod which I highly recommend. I also have some 700x and have worked up a load for that...I don't like how it meters so I use it for practice and as a rainy day load. The 7625 meters like water and has shown to be an excellent powder for 9mm. I agree with the above posts on HP38/W231 too. 4.4gr worked well for me.
  4. G34 = 26oz with empty mag in the gun. So for Production, you can go +2 oz as stated earlier in the thread. I have a steel guide rod in mine with Dawson Precision fixed sights and it weighs in at 26.8 oz. I would like to try a tungsten guide rod but doubt that I could make weight. Its an expensive test if it doesn't work...
  5. Sorry about that..... Yes they were 124 gr plated Berry's HBRN - TPDS.
  6. I'm confused a bit...pardon me. If this was a squib (and I agree it probably was): 1) I would think the slide would not have fully cycled without any powder, resulting in a stove pipe at max and most likely not even enough to do that. 2) With a very light load, which most here have had the misfortune of loading, even then the bullet exits the barrel but the case fails to eject. 3) IF it was a squib load, and the slide did not cycle, did the OP rack the slide and fire again?
  7. Now all I get is tapatalk opening and it says No Topic. I can still browse, but when I click a link from a google search, it opens to the No topic page.
  8. I worked up a load today using 7625. It metered really well through my Uniflow. I tested several throws and saw less than .1gr deviation. Since I have been relegated to 700x due to the dang run on powder, this stuff made me want to do a back flip. Glock 34 4.7 gr 1.150 COL Mixed Brass Tulammo Primers Temperature was Approximately 40 degrees F. I was getting anywhere from 1024 to 1082 fps consistently. It seemed to be rather accurate. Although I was not shooting from a bench and was also shooting an 8" steel plate. I am very pleased with the results.
  9. I still get the same error. Hook version (12004....etc
  10. No problems out of my G34 with wolff 14lb kit. No fail to fire in several hundred rounds. YMMV I am still reluctant to use them in a match, but if practice rounds keep going bang, my confidence level will go up enough to shoot them in a local match.
  11. I have shot several hundred rounds of Tulammo SPP in their factory loaded ammo as well as my hand loads with ZERO fail to fire. My Glock 34 is running a 14lb wolff recoil spring with a lighter striker spring...think its 4 lbs (whatever came in the wolff kit anyway) I may be lucky, but I can't see a difference between the CCI SPP and Tula SPP. I will say this....My next match I will load all CCI SPP's and save the Tula for practice. I just don't know if I can trust them enough so far.
  12. Well, I guess it is too bad they really jacked up my order, over and over and over until I just gave up and cancelled! My experience with Natmil was terrible. in a word, they suck! Now I am just sitting here waiting on Hodgdon to catch up and get me some powder.
  13. Well, I requested a refund. The tracking number showed that the package was on hold at Fort Smith Arkansas for customer pickup. While I am actually in Arkansas, I happen to be 6 hrs from Fort Smith and don't intend on going there anytime soon. I just cannot understand how a business can mess up an order 5 times. Once, I can understand that because mistakes happen, but they jacked this up 5 separate times. So, if anyone wants a recommendation for Natmil from me, look elsewhere. They are not reliable. Their powder might be ok, but if they cannot manage to deliver it, it won't do you any good.
  14. Well,if powder supplies weren't so limited, I would have already went somewhere else. I do believe the powder exists. Although I am beginning to lose faith. I will be calling the district manager tomorrow to discuss options. He was reasonable the last time we talked and may be unaware of the mishandling of my order. At this point, I have been dealing with the office manager, who has turned out to be a bit of a smart alic. It never ceases to amaze me how customer driven operations can somehow deflect blame to the customer. So, in the meantime, I sit here with primers, brass, and bullets....no powder. Merry Christmas!
  15. Snapple, I will if Natmil will ever ship my order! At this point, from the tracking information that finally originated 8 days after they charged my credit card, it looks as though I am going to have to drive to Fort Smith Arkansas to pick up my powder at the UPS hub. SMH... It has been one excuse after another, followed by some smart A@@ responses from their office manager via email. Anyway, IF I ever get the powder, I will have enough that I won't have to deal with them for a while. By that time Titegroup might be available and they can go fly a kite.
  16. First of all, thanks gm iprod for your investigation and analysis! Based upon that and a call to the company, I bought 10 lbs at a pretty reasonable rate considering the times. Roughly $18/lb. I spoke to the company rep at length and he seemed to be really knowledgeable. They support their claims with actual reload testing and cited actual 9mm FMJ loads that performed extremely close to TG load data supplied on Hodgdon's site. They are located in Van Buren, AR (Go Hogs!) if anyone is near there and allow local pickup. --> It may be a while before I get any load data from my own tests, but I will report back as soon as I can.
  17. Has anyone here used this powder? Natmil claims this is the same as Hodgdon Titegroup, which is a powder I am interested in using. Unfortunately, I cannot find any third party information that supports their claim. As I am only able to find 10# quantities, I am unwilling to step out on that limb without more information. Thanks in advance for the support!
  18. Has anyone here used Natmil NR-485? They, Natmil, claim that it is the same as titegroup.
