650 crushing cases....
agalindo replied to carbonman556's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I noticed that on about 5 cases of a 300 round session I would have to use my hand to push the case forward to where it would align with the sizing die all it took was a slight touch and it would align. New press first 300 rounds in 9mm. -
DIY primer tube filler question
agalindo replied to agalindo's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I'll check this afternoon. That might have been the problem seems that it started to work after removing and reinserting the yellow tip twice. -
DIY primer tube filler question
agalindo replied to agalindo's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Yellow tip for small primers right? I removed the yellow tip and reseated it a few times that along with the first 100 primers 50 per session seemed to really help with the problem. Maybe I was trying to go at a slight angle instead of straight up and down? -

No beer for me when reloading. -
DIY primer tube filler question
agalindo replied to agalindo's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Unless you have a better explanation as to why I was having to use significant force on the primer tube to get them to go in. I mean force to the point of tapping the top of the tube with my palm. Yesterday they seemed to go in just fine with very minimal force. -
DIY primer tube filler question

Well I reloaded 300 rounds this afternoon and the tube worked with out any issues. I guess it was just tight and needed to be broken in. -
DIY primer tube filler question

Brand new setup using small WW primers with the small primer tube. They seem to get caught at the tip where the yellow plastic feeder meets the aluminum tube. Don't want to toss a band new tube. -
DIY primer tube filler question
agalindo replied to agalindo's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Well I got my 650 in Friday but had to wait til Sunday to try it out. Filling the primer tube was a bit of a challenge. It seemed like the primers would get stuck and I couldn't force them into the tube even with quite some bit of pressure. Other than filler the primer tube everything went perfect. Now I know for sure I need a case feeder. -
So true for a couple of weeks I've been searching for a video like this. Been wanting to see how fast you can load but all the vids I found were aimed at the new shooter. Slow loading with lots of stoppages in order to explain what's going on.

OK I just ordered a 650 and now I'm sitting here waiting and thinking. I've seen those DIY auto primer tuble filler made from a small vibratory motor and a lee hand primer tray. My question is. Instead of using it to load primer tubes why not use it to directly fill the primer tube on the press? That would remove an extra step in the process.

Top Shot Season 4: Episode 9 (10 Apr 2012)
agalindo replied to Jeanjacket's topic in Books, Movies, TV & Music
I like Chris, he seems to be able to take a deep breath and calm himself down better than the others. Hey and he's an IT guy like me. -

Another TV Gun Show (Discovery Channel)

I wouldn't let my highschool aged daughter dress like that on TV. I wasn't impressed with the show or the mothers and daughters attire. -

Funny how all the smiles disappeared after that run. Replaced by looks of concern. -

computer program for dry fire drills.
agalindo replied to Glockster35's topic in Training Techniques
Hey guys, I've never done dry fire drills using a timer. What's a good time for a draw from surrender to first shot at a target 3X5" square at 7ft? -
How is the OEM safety leaver and the PR safety leaver different in the engagement area where the sear spring pin touches it? From what I've seen of the PR safety leavers the difference is at the bottom end of the leaver where it engages the sear tab. The upper part looks identical to the OEM safety leaver to me.

My 40 service has a 2.5# trigger and I use any type of primer I can find in stock even small rifle primers.

Actually it was Blake that said he was going to shoot a million rounds.

Updated Double Poll: Who will Win Top Shot?
agalindo replied to XD Niner's topic in Books, Movies, TV & Music
JJ seems to adapt to any challenge better than the others. Blake and Kelly are right up there. If it's any kind of a throwing contest Adam is done for, he throws like a girl... well Tara threw better than he did so... -
Me too.

I'm sure there's lots of juicy stuff from the Blue team as well, but they keep winning, so no one from that team goes to the final challenge.... they are carefully constructing the show to add drama behind what they know will be the showdown of the 2 shooters in the final challenge, IMHO. Now, if we have an epsisode where from the start the blue team members are being featured more, and arguing with each other, with lots of "interesting" sound bites.... guess what, bet you the blue team will lose that day, and have to elimante someone. Just guessing. Actually the red team got together and strategized about this. We said "hmmm, so the show is only 45 minutes long and they have to squeeze in practice, challenges, and eliminations, and allow the audience to make sense of everything." So we thought maybe we should all lose the first few challenges in order to maximize our screen time! It was a crafty, devious plan, but it worked! So the whining was also part of the strategy? As a matter of fact, I'm a Grandmaster archer too. I only took up pistols and rifles because I knew I would look like more of a badass. I actually didn't tell my team about the whining strategy; just did it at the last moment to steal all of their interview time.

Seems that blue team doesn't get very much screen time, is it because red team keep loosing? Another thing is it me or does red team seem to have all the drama queens? Maybe that's why blue team isn't getting as much screen time. Oh well it's still fun to watch.
