  1. Give us a call at the shop @ 805-522-1911 and we'll diagnose it for you. Haven't had any problems with them getting caught up like that, but I'm sure we'll figure it out.
  2. Thanks! We appreciate that! We put a lot of work into going and actively finding problems people are having with our gear ( it's why we set up this enos account ), so it's nice to know that it's paying off. Hope you all had a merry Christmas!
  3. I have a G34 gen 4 and the guide rod that came with it has the double spring. I replaced it with a Jaeger SS guide rod and 13lb spring. I'm trying to locate a good scale to way my pistol with and empty mag and I hope it has at least 1oz to spare so I can use the +4 TTI extended mag. You specifically mention the +0 base plate, so I take it you think the +4 will not be a problem if one has at least 1oz to play with in weight? Shouldn't be a problem, no. Might be tight, though. They weigh in at about .9-1.0 ounces. Taran Tactical, You posted above that the +4 Glock basepads weigh in at about .9-1.0 ounces. In the link below, a poster weighed one at .85oz. This small difference can make or brake me. Can you confirm the true weight of a +4? I had someone weigh my G34 on a lbs scale and with a calculated conversion, it came to 27.072oz. With a .85oz basepad, that puts me at 27.922, just under the required 28oz. At .9oz, I would still be OK at 27.972oz...BUT at 1oz basepad weight, I'd be OVER. I plan on weighing with another scale tomorrow. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=207350 Well, with all metal products, there are some tolerance. Won't be .85 all the time, etc. The one I grabbed was .896, and I just grabbed another one that was .875. When we weighed it, did it have a magazine put in? Because you need to subtract the weight of the insert and the current floor plate from the total weight. If this works for you, you can give us a call at the shop at 805-522-1911 and I can go through the batch and weigh them out for you before we send them.

  5. +0 will put you over the weight requirement if you have a stainless steel guide rod. You can use a +0 if you use a stock guide rod, but honestly, I'd go with an aftermarket guide rod over the +0s. You can just use the smalls.
  6. Just spoke with ammcallister and got this resolved. I encourage anyone who will read this thread looking for a fix in the future to either apply the mod that Kurt and Amccallister devised, or give us a call at the shop at 805-522-1911. Seems to be a specific issue with M1 trigger groups casting, thought we'll have the smith take a look at it when he's in. This is why we love Enos forum!
  7. Pin shouldn't be getting lost. Are you adjusting the screw tension a lot?
  8. Give us a call at the shop tomorrow at 805-522-1911 and ask for Scott. I'll be there at about 10am PST ro about 8pm PST. We'll get it sorted out for you.
  9. Not going to promise anything because we need to put the weapon through a torture test to feel the improvements and see if they'll last and be competitive, but we've begun progress on a Versamax upgrade package and we're happy with the performance so far. Will provide updates later!
  10. Both have mid-length gas blocks, yeah.

  12. Sorry 40 is correct. So bolen is now Taran T? No. We purchased the patent from Bolen. And have greatly improved the product in my opinion. We really appreciate that!

  14. Lots of diversity and difficulty. Did everything from those long-ranged ironman shots to the 3-Gun Nation shredfest stuff. Very difficult and very rewarding. So fun!
  15. I hope Taran doesn't bite on this one. but most of what you want to know is documented within this forum. But I will give you two Hammers replaced with Benelli parts. Bolt cam pin replaced with Benelli part. This is not an indictment of the VM as it has lots of positive virtues, but suffers from a few less than best quality parts. Overcome that and you have a good lead slinger. Right, and we're more familiar with what needs to be fixed right out of the box with a Benelli. We're getting a competition worthy one in pretty soon, and we're going to tear it apart and see what we can do. Will keep you guys updated!
  16. Is this the corner you are referring to (see attached)? How does radiusing that corner make it easier to insert/reload a full 23 round round mag? Thanks! That angle gets caught up as it gets lower. Radiusing and polishing it reduces the friction.
  17. That's absolutely true as well, and why we don't do full packages on a lot of people's guns. We usually get benellis with minor modifications done, and many times we'll just leave them along. If you're not planning on going all out shred machine grand master, getting something cheap and good to go can help justify the expense later on. For instance, this is why we support Glocks so much. It's an easy gun to learn with, it's cheap, and the necessary modifications aren't extensive. Sure you can pay for slide cutting, etc, but when you just want to get your feet into the sport, you need a trigger job, grip job, guide rod, and sights. Done. 1000-1200 bucks and you're off. You don't have to spend 4k+ on a new custom 2011. That being said, as a rule, we won't work on Versamax. There's a lot of issues with the platform right now that we wouldn't want to stamp our name on.
  18. Many times, a lot of people are turned off by the price tags of high end 3gun stuff. The difference between, say, a versamax and a benelli M2 can be substantial. Also, most people understand that they're going to have to put some work into the gun after they get it so a mindset I hear a lot is; " I'm paying money to get the work done to it anyways, so it'll run just like a Benelli ". I'm a big fan of the buy once, cry once mentality if you know the deal is going to to be significantly better and worth the price point. Trying to struggle to get the performance of a Benelli m2 or a Stoeger in a Versamax is not only frustrating and can be costly, it's almost unrealistic.
  19. Someone should ask Bob Vogel if you can be competitive with a Glock.
  20. Was this what you had in mind? http://tarantacticalinnovations.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=44_49&products_id=218 The +300's don't fit in the USPSA/IDPA box. How tall are the ones you linked? It's the same size as our small one, height wise. Here's a video of them fitting the IPSC box. Problem is, they're significantly heavier than the smalls. So if he's shooting USPSA production, for instance, he'll get bumped out of the division because of weight. Sounds like he's saying he wants more than .300, though. .680 is the height on the +0s we have.
