  1. Ill be out there for my first match at the club. Looking forward to shooting, hope my pistol doesn't jam up too much
  2. Both of my 18" uppers have adjsutable gas blocks, Young super light BCGs and a taccom rifle buffer in my lower. I am going to be playing around with different spring rates here soon once I get my barrel back, had to send it in due to issues and they are shipping a new one once it is made. I am also going to buy an aluminum BCG this year to toy around with and run at local matches but I will still run my Young carrier at majors due to reliability. I wanted the JP LOMS in my new rifle but at the time, the builder only had in the Youngs so that it was I ended up getting otherwise I would have the JP in it.
  3. Blue Ridge is an amazing match. This was the last match I shot last year for my first year of majors, started the year out at TFD and finished at Blue Ridge, I don't think I will ever be able to top last year. Andy's matches are THE matches to attend for sure. As long as Andy is willing to bust his butt to put this match together, I will be at every one. It is a match that I will not miss due to conflicting match dates.
  4. Nice job Ziebart! Shot with him at the qualifier, really nice guy. Waiting for another rookie, Koopikka to burn it down May 23rd.
  5. Thank you Linda. Looking forward to my second year there. Sadly, I don't think my buddy John will attend this year after his ride on the slide on day 2 last year... FNH has not been a good match for him.
  6. Its getting closer to April, any word on when shooter applications will be available and need to be sent in? Just trying to get a heads up.
  7. In that price range, you're better off with a benelli or versa max. My 930 has most of what you listed it one form or another, and i still worry about it going to national matches running 100%. Making the switch this year to another platform.
  8. Wouldn't miss this match. Shot it for my first time last year. Let's hope the attendance for this match is not reduced due to another match, on the same weekend, in the same area of the country...
  9. Will there be registration the first day of shooting or will it only be on Friday like stated on the application?
  10. Also just found out about this match. Going to print everything off Monday and get it sent out Tuesday.
  11. In for the first time! Going to be a fun group headed down from Michigan, we all know Linda too well from FNH last year...
  12. Thats exactly why I bought some too, practice and local matches. trying to keep my cost down as much as possible since I have a plan to triple my shooting this season.
  13. Yes, Motor City Gun Works is my new sponsor and they are building me one amazing rifle with the help of Proof and Hiperfire. I also have some local companies that have given me stuff at cost and a local holster maker that has made some pmag and gun holsters for me to better fit my needs.
  14. It was a good match. A lot of very good shooters came out. I was gunning for it but 3 FTNs and a pistol jam cost me the spot, but hey I took third on stage 4. Going to get ready for nationals now.
  15. Looks like it will be a great match. If it wasn't the same weekend as BRM3G, i would put it on my calender for this year as a must attend match. If by some way the date changes and it doesn't conflict with any of matches I'm already attending I'm it for sure. Always excited when matches show up that I can drive to on this side of the country.
  16. What size groups and is there any date proving increased pressure and decreased barrel life?
  17. I used sand paper to get the radius I wanted and then used rubbing compound for cars on a wool disc on my dremel. Every couple thousand rounds or so I will have to go in there and polish it again because I sense it is starting to act up.
  18. I made C my first year, I also shot 3gun that first season. Last year I made it to the higher side of B with 1 M classifier. I don't run any dry fire practice but I was shooting a match, USPSA or 3gun almost every weekend last year with a couple nationals in the mix. The problem I have, without practice all the time and my main focus being on 3gun, is inconsistency with classifier stages. I have a 95% and some down in the 50s. I have reviewed a lot of my videos and watch my progress over the last 2 years of shooting USPSA and 3gun. I always try to squad with other shooters that I know are better than me. When they are running the stage I watch how they do it. Foot placement, where they reload, watching where they have their guns when moving around the stage. This has been the biggest help. I try to take things they are doing and see what works for me. I use matches as my practice. Its very possible a person with natural tallent could easily make A but a B for sure.
  19. I was going to sign up, forgot my password so I couldn't log in. I have been trying for 2 days to get my password reset but the website won't send my email a link. Looks like I missed this one.
  20. Well, I ordered them to test out with some of my friends. I figured at that price, if they don't group well enough, they will be perfect for local 3gun matches and offhand practice at 50 yards.
  21. Looking forward to this match again Jeff. I had a great time last year, even though my gun was just a hair better than a signle shot. I am very happy to hear that Phoenix Trinity is once again going to be a sponsor, they are all great people.
  22. I might have to try and make it to this. Never shot a large USPSA match, just local clubs up here in Michigan. I'm talking with my friends now to see if they want to make the drive with me and come down to shoot it. I would find it very interesting to see how Limited Minor would hold up......
  23. I had a SD3G trigger in my gun for 2 years and I am switching to the Hiperfire 24c. I actually installed it last week and I am having on installed in my new build as well. When I made the switch it took a couple mags to get used to the difference between the two. The SD3G had a little take up before it would break and I would use this as "setting the trigger" on long range and for getting groups. First time I tried that with the 24c, it just fired, very little take up at all if any.
