  1. I ordered a flat extra direct but want to try the flat and convex also
  2. I make dummy rounds. They also sell some ive seen at the ben stoeger pro shop
  3. I forgot my timer the other day and ran drills without a timer. I was still going at speed and felt just as fast as usual but everything was more consistent. I think its good to lose the timer occasionally
  4. I disagree with Joker. Get a high grip, yes, but use your shoulders to apply pressure into the bore of the gun. The elbows will flair out a little as opposed to inwards towards the ground. Pointing your elbows towards the ground is going to create a hinge for more moment. Depending on what type of pistol your shooting it should not move a whole lot. Grip the gun really hard with your support hand. All of this can be worked out quickly in dry fire. If you have a good index from draw currently then just work on gripping the gun hard and I find that applying pressure into the bore by rolling the shoulders a bit makes for a stable platform. The gun should return to your point of aim in a very short period of time, tenths of a second. If your gun is bouncing around you are too loose in your upper body. Fighters stance , knees slightly bent ready for action, weight with a forward bias. Sounds like you may be standing up too straight or even leaning back. Post some video.
  5. While I dont know you and this almost seems like a troll post, I will bite. Dry fire works. I went from C to A in two months and A to M 6 months later using 90% dry fire training. You can get really good at classifier type shooting and gun handling really fast. Just a few hours a week will take you to the top 15-20% at most local club matches pretty fast. Make sure you are pushing yourself and not just going through the motions. Depending on the amount of space you have to work with you can drill just about anything.
  6. The first versions were junk and DAA did not handle service issues very well with the product. With that said the new one works. For dry fire and training solo its the best option out there.
  7. an undersized die is almost required for .40. I dont have a whole lot of experience with 9 but when I loaded 9 briefly i ran a U die. If you plan on reloading the same case 10+ times a U die may work the brass a bit. I might get a handful of times on a case before its lost at a match or whatever. The U die is added insurance that the case will pass the gauge, you also get the coke bottle effect which helps to prevent setback.
  8. From Troy: Troy McManus Target policy changed to allow through-perfs in all zones, to eliminate the very light, almost un-scoreable perforations we were seeing with some vendors. The non-scoring borders have been visible beyond 33 feet on some targets for a long time, due to being thru-perfed. The new allowance should make it less expensive to produce targets, which should, in time, be passed along to the consumer. I intended to issue a clarification/interpretation on that rule when the policy went into effect, but there were some issues with the ruling system at the time, and it slipped my mind. The more distinct perforations will make target scoring faster and easier as well. I looked at a set a while back, at 33 feet, and the lines, to my eyes, were barely distinquishable. I'm not entirely sure of the provenance of that rule, anyway--if anyone can tell me why that was a restriction, I'd like to hear it.
  9. The picture above is from American target. The perfs are visible but not that great. That is such an odd rule too. If your looking for perfs and holes your losing anyway.
  10. Atlanta arms is on the approved target vendor list and I shot these same targets at area 6 this year. So I am not sure. I posted on facebook and troy was Tagged so we will see.
  11. Here is a picture of an Atlanta Arms target and the American Target. You can see the difference in perfs but they are also .20 a piece different.
  12. Not sure? I didnt have any trouble ordering.
  13. On their site. They ship from Germany. http://shop.xline-geppert.de/en/fit-in/17-x-line-vario-trigger.html
  14. My aluminum cart has a really long handle and the from axle is attached to the handle you can turn the front wheel 250+ degrees.
  15. The flat extra are in stock now
  16. I just bought some guga pouches instead
  17. They expect to have more in stock next week in germany. Atlas is the only US source ive seen. Atlas had not responded to my inquiry about when they will have more.
  18. Only thing that seems to be in stock anywhere is curved long at atlas.
  19. They are all out of stock. Would be interested in trying that convex, never would have thought about it until after your description.
  20. Have had my soundgear for a few weeks now. Love the custom molded fit. Much more comfortable in the heat than muffs. With the small size of the speakers in these things there is little to no bass so the sound is a little, tingy, for lack of a better description. You don't notice it after a few minutes.
  21. found a thread here via google i didnt find searching the site.
  22. I have owned several 2011's and they have all had flat triggers. I like them but cant really compare them to anything else. Anyone shot a 2011 with both flat and curved triggers and comment on your preference? I would like to try one of the new x-line vario triggers but they only have curved in stock
  23. The ones we got from LE targets last round were ok but the perfs were not very clean.
