    P320 X5 trigger options?

How crisp is the Burke trigger versus the GGI trigger?

    P320 X5 trigger options?

@m700 I'm handy but not a whizkid and I got the GG trigger installed in under two hours (and that was with some self-induced issues). I could probably do it again in under 45 minutes now that I've done it once.

    P320 X5 trigger options?

I installed the Gray Guns trigger in my X5 and it is a marked improvement from stock BUT the break in mine is "rolling" not "crisp." I don't know if that is normal or mine is an outlier. Maybe my Rich Dettlehouser XD trigger spoiled me... 4 lbs, very very crisp.
  4. Put in the Gray Guns competition Trigger, Talon Grips, and Holosun. With the right length screw it fit perfectly. Can't wait to test it all out.
  5. I installed the Holosun HS507C and Springer Precision plate on my P320 X5, everything is tight. However when I look carefully I can see an awful lot of light between the slide and mounting plate. I don't like that at all. Do I need to relieve material from the plate with a file until it installs with no light visible? Makes little sense to me as it installed well ( i.e. tightly) without filing. Ideas? (Like an idiot I didn't think thru the added height of the plate before I bought the Holosun, thinking about going with a Romeo One to shave a few millimeters off the height ) Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    P320 X5 Thread

Sig Pro Shop called me about my pre-ordered X-Five. Here's my issue. I live in CT. 10-Round max magazine. The Factory P320 ten-rounders won't fit the X-Five because of the profile of the bottom of the X-five. You could shave the bottom of the frame or the tops of the magazine baseplates but both would through you out of production, right? He mentioned going with Springer Precision base plates, but would that still be Production legal? I thought aftermarket mags dimensionally different from stock were no-go. I could have a gunsmith ruin perfectly good stock magazines but I'd like to avoid that if possible. atek3
  7. Sadly, it reflects how long it's been since I shot a match that I forgot all about rules lawyering... NYC has not done my shooting skills any good. atek3
  8. in response to this: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/what-people-think-i-do-what-i-really-do I made this one:
  9. Curls only or curls and reverse curls (turning the wrist upside down and 'lifting')
  10. My wrists have given me some problems. I rearranged my work space, started taking breaks more often, and the problem has gone away mostly, but I was wondering what exercises your PT's have recommended to build wrist strength and prevent it from happening again? Thanks, atek3
  11. That's pretty awesome. I met Rob back when we were both running neck and neck as C-Class production shooters in Richmond,CA. Flash forward to today, he's a GM and Ninjer cocking... I'm a B-class What can I say. I've been busy Nice work Rob atek3
  12. Their programming looks solid, but in general I'm skeptical of any skill or methodology that is "too tactical" for us puny civies. atek3

I like the enteric coated Costco brand... 1200mg of fish oil, no fish burps. I take 9 a day... I started taking fish oil when I had a stubborn case of shoulder tendonitis...it went away in a matter of days.
  14. quite funny. I LOL'd at the bit about Master in IDPA. atek3
  15. http://www.uspsa.org/mr/match_index.php?ye...te_Championship Shannon Smith won Limited Junior Brown won Open Jeff DeGracia won Production
  16. That's certainly worth a try. I suppose the LP9 or whatever that's called could be a good pistol for production. Wasn't there a review of this gun in "Front Sight" a couple months ago? Ya, the SR9 runs, but I wouldn't exactly call it a competitive gun in production.
  17. Great Match y'all. Thanks to the organizers for putting out 10 great stages. Hopefully I'll see you all next year. Fun hanging with the SFPC folks. atek3
  18. I drive 2 hrs round trip once a week to shoot the 3 stage local match. I'll drive 3-4 hrs for a bigger match. These days I don't have the money to fly or drive to out of state matches.
  19. My friend uses the CAA DVSR... it's cheap, works great: http://www.bigrivertactical.com/catalog/it...573/5528077.htm I wouldn't put it on a social rifle, but for gun games it's great. atek3
  20. Just got mine... Scott told me the easy way to install it... took 5 min from start to finish. What a HUGE improvement. After I installed tru-grip the additional few thou of thickness made it very hard for me to reach the magazine release with my thumb. The plus .1 extended mag catch completely solves that problem. Just in time for the FL state championship. Thanks Scott
  21. I'm going up with a couple of guys from South Florida Pistol Club.
  22. My vision is pretty terrible and for the first 5 years of my shooting career I struggled trying to find a good vision solution. First I used my prescription glasses, but the lens were too small to shoot rifle (where I look out the top of my eye). So I switched to contact lens. With contacts I had a good field of view, but I kept scratching up or losing my 5 dollar shooting glasses. Plus the contact lenses gave me dry eye, so by the end of a big match I had a tough time tracking the front sight, even with eye drops. After a particularly bad performance one evening, I said forget it, I went on BE forums and saw what everyone else was doing... Rudy Project Rydons. One of our own forum members (KGentry) hooked me up on the USA shooters pack and an RX insert. When I got back the RX Insert from Walmart I was hooked. Now I can see perfectly clearly (my contact prescription had no correction for my mild astygmatism). When lighting conditions change I can switch between my clear lens and Racing Red lens in 30 seconds. I have a full field view I can use with rifle and pistol. Best of all, I paid a lot of them, so I take much better care of them than my cheapos.
  23. Okay, lets say the score keeper saw no-reload and the RO saw a reload, in that case the RO would still trump right? Well, what should happen is the two discuss it and if they can't reach a consensus, the CRO if any takes the call. If both are RO's then they guy with the timer. This is a great question... In this hypothetical scenario there was no CRO and RO had the timer. The scorekeeper was some shmoe who got drafted to keep score.
