  1. Good read, I am wanting to move to SS and I have having a hard time deciding between .40 and .45.
  2. I was DQed from the State Sectional last year, talk about the walk of same. At least my one DQ is out of the way now.
  3. Pasting targets let's you see the stage from the target area so you know which targets show up in multiple shooting areas. We have all put 4 shots on a target with is just a waste of time and ammo.
  4. I had the exact same thing happen at STS. I walked in, they told me I was next and the stage looked like a simple V pattern of targets shot from a shooters box. Afterwards I learned that the targets were to be engaged with 1 to 5 rounds each depending on distance. Needless to say I had a horrible finish when the scores were posted.
  5. This may not have been my best showing, but the organizers, volunteers, and the Devil's Hole range put on the most organized event have attended in three years of active shooting with great stages. I have not attended a National event, but I have tried everything else. If all stays the same I will make sure to never miss the IL Sectional and I hope everyone reading this will take advantage of the IL Sectional next year. I will see you there!
  6. I purchased a spring tuning kit which included one each of different weight springs indicated by color. They take them out and experiment with the recoil. If you go low you may want to add a buff. I prefer the aluminum buffers from Dawson Precision. It's all why feels the best and helps the speed of your follow up shot IMO.
  7. I would choose a division and stick to it until you decide to fund a second firearm. Most people start in Production to make sure they like it and will stay with it over time. Prepping a gun to be competitive in Limited can get expensive. I started in Production with a XDM 4.5 9mm, then moved to Limited with a XDM 5.25 .40. I am now on my 3rd Limited gun, yes it can be an addition. Most of all have fun, this is great sport no matter what the division.
  8. That would be great if it would dump the data into Excel. I have the same Chrono so keep us updated with your progress.
  9. I received my first .40 140mm MBX magazine today. I am happy with the quality. I loaded it up with 21 rounds, but it was difficult to get it in my Edge. I am going to leave it loaded for a couple days and see if it looses the spring just enough. I don't think I will get it to be 21 rounds reloadable. I love the 10 round and 21 round witness holes but I would recommend adding a 20 round hole. Assuming it functions as well as I expect I will be ordering more. I do have a Para P16-40 Limited which I don't shoot often but I plan on trying the MBX Para mag when it is available.
