Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I really like 231/hp 38 with a 200 grain swc. 5.7 grains is very accurate in every .45 I own
  2. If Clays were still available, I'd be using that. But I switched to WST and have 8lbs of it. It's still not available? I bought an 8 lb of clays for me and one for a friend that wanted do you get into reloading. When he realized it wasn't as cheap as he thought he never paid me I kept his. At 4 grains a shot 16 lbs will last me a long time. Maybe I'll give the wst another shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You need to up your load a bit. I have both powders and prefer clays. As far as primer size I've never noticed anything. I put the wst away I'll find another use for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I never had any luck with clays and 9 mm,the 147 uses so little powder as it is. there are better powders suited for 9mm. if you looking for soft loads try universal. 3.2 of universal is good and soft. but a very accurate load.
  5. 3.9 grains of clays with a 200 lswc bullet is a good paper puncher. I have loaded 5.8 grains hp38 with the same bullet also both shot well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I had quite a few blood tests lately. iv'e been casting and reloading for the past 5 years. and my levels are normal. keep clean wash your hands and use common sense. tumble outside always.
  7. You can use non magnum primers with 2400 with no problems.
  8. It's more of the recoil impulse I guess. I like it with a heavier bullet in 45. I just bought 8 lbs I'll have that for a good while. A 158 grain bullet in a 357 case with 5.7 grains of universal is super accurate out of a smith I have. Yeah I like universal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. 5 grains of universal with a 230 grain bullet works well for me. If you load it with 200 grain bullets at can be a bit harsh. I like the push universal gives,
  10. I've always shot lead. I took advantage of xtreem bullets free shipping to try them. I bought the flat points and have been very happy with them.
  11. Universal clays is good for me in 45 5.1 grains with a cast 230. Nice plinking load flat shooting little recoil and on the clean side. As far as just clays powder I like it with 200 grain bullets but not 230s. 4 grains of clays with a 200 grain wadcutter a match made in heaven. Ive never used international clays
  12. I think you'll get many answers. But 4 grains of clays and a 200 swc is piont of aim for me.
  13. I've tried to like universal for 45 acp but never had good luck with 230s but 6 grains with a 200 works great go figure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Silly me seems like it would have lube in it then. But I know you don't lube a cannelure you crimp into it well I do.
