  1. You may find this link interesting. This is how it starts out: "It seems to me that many people have the idea that shooting accurately and “calling your shots” are one and the same. These concepts are related, but they are NOT the same thing." ~Ben Stoeger https://www.facebook...581420898536014 Yeah...I agree with that...shot calling is a good habit, but as I said 'accuracy' is the most important thing to focus on. While shot calling and accuracy are not the same thing...when you learn to call your shots regularly, you should notice what you're doing differently when you get an Alpha vs a Charlie. When you refine that, you become more accurate. I've known instructors whose only advice is "be more aggressive". That doesn't help. Seeing where your sights are on ignition and being able to correct it is what "can" make a difference on accuracy. BTW, who is this Ben Stoeger guy...you sure seam to think highly of him. Some might even say you're his biggest fan. :-) I hear he's some A-class shooter or something.
  2. I can appreciate that since during a 6 hour power outage last night, I cursed at the darkness as I stubbed my toe on my way to lighting a candle.... That just made me do that laugh where you're blowing air through pursed lips with puffed out cheeks and it sounds like a fart.

  4. Isn't efficiency eliminating unnecessary movement and keeping the quality of your hits as high as possible? Does it not increase ones speed by being efficient? I feel like increasing one's speed could potentially reduce efficiency. I would say efficiency will increase some speed. Take a turtle he can be the most efficient with no wasted movement.unless he picks up the pace , the unefficient jack rabbit will beat him. Or the inefficient jack rabbit will mess up less than the turtle, leaving the turtle who shot all A's with no penalties with the trophy...or maybe the jack rabbit will drop his loaded gun in the dirt in the middle of shooting a stage. this is where I think we mis understand each other. there is so much more then pulling a trigger while shooting a stage.theres movement. if you walk from point a to point b, and I run. I will win, points the same. if you dont practice going fast. your doomed to walk every stage. Juan, I don't have a life today either. I'm home sick and bored.
  5. Yeah, no kidding! Why curse in the darkness when you can do it with a lit candle. Duh!

  8. Casefeeder, bulletfeeder, strong mount and roller handle are all good, but the bullet feeder is super expensive. The casefeeder is well worth the cost and pays for itself quickly in time saved.
  9. Go JJ! That stage would be way fun with an open gun!
  10. That would be a serious dry fire motivator! Depends on your wife. We should ask Seehawer how he would feel about this. I think he would be honored to do that for you, Ben.
  11. I like it when you can start shooting as you enter a position and continue shooting as you back out of that position. No need for standing reloads, either!
  12. The ones in their member's profile are User ratings. The ones under their avatar indicate roughly how many posts they have. Ah. I am now slightly less disoriented.
  13. what if you blink Then you are a moron.
  14. Such a shame... 9/10 is just not gonna cut it. Yeah, I won't quit my day job.
  15. Can you tell me about the specific vitamin regimen recommended by opthamologists to maintain healthy eyes? What vitamins/minerals are necessary that are not included in daily multivitamins? Is it beneficial to take something like Prosight or EyeVites prophylactically?
  16. You'll be amazed at how much progress you can make if you keep pushing yourself.
  17. Also if you are blinking you are flinching, which effects the shot, even though it may be a small effect it is an effect. (On long range shots it can be a huge difference). I know I have to work on this periodically (louder guns are worse and require more practice to stop the blinking). Do you wear contact lenses?
  18. Even though it's dry fire, I don't always only pull the trigger when I'm on an alpha when I'm really pushing myself for speed. Calling shots becomes a habit in dry fire as well as live fire. I take mental note of poor shots and correct it the next time rather than taking the time to score a run. It's a great idea for someone with plenty of time to spare!
  19. I read it. I think champions think this way intuitively, and Bassham picked up on it, picked it apart, and layed it out in a simple format that anyone can understand and put to use. A local shooter, Nate Berg, sent it to me because I was shaking when I shot one of my first matches.
  20. I posted a video about it under Ben's vendor page on this site if you'd like to check it out.
  21. ...but that's the way it's always been done! Ben uses bullets out, correct? Affirmative.
  22. It means we're hot. Are the number of stars you have inversely related to how hot you are? No, It says how "experienced" you are... Is experienced a euphamism for old? Kidding! Kidding! I'm assuming it means a member with a significant amount of posts on the forum?
