  1. It also works to get a beat in your head that you want to follow just before you start the drill. If you see your shots dragging from one target to the next, you have broken your double tap! Learned that in Ben Stoeger's class.
  2. Esther, I found that I had to slowly walk through the steps of drawing the gun with the proper grip, step-by-step at the beginning in order to do it consistently. You have to train your muscles to do it the same way every time. Repeat it until you are able to do it faster, but do it correctly. Keep increasing speed without losing a proper grip until it becomes natural. Of course, you don't always have a perfect grip every time you draw, especially under match pressure. When that happens, and there is no time to adjust your grip, as a female I have found that it is best to pull the trigger straight back and focus more on trigger control than trying to squeeze the heck out of a bad grip on the gun.
