  1. I have no idea, but I'll do some more recon once I get my hands on it.
  2. No, a custom Tanfo I got off GB: But the concept is the same.
  3. Has anyone sent off a slide to have sight cuts made? Where did you send? How much did it cost? I have a slide with a standard rear cut and no front cut I want to use the Super Sight rear and modern front on and I'm not sure I can muster the courage to try it myself on my drill press... I'm also thinking about hard chrome at the same time. Any leads would be helpful.
  4. A faster powder might be more comfortable to shoot in a non-compensated pistol. What type of velocity are you looking for? I use HS6 for 9mm major and the fastest I've shot a 100gr bullet is 1650fps using 9.3gr, 124s made 1429fps at 7.8gr FWIW.
  5. It comes out to 2-4¢ per piece of brass depending on the caliber.
  6. Was there a significant temperature difference between the day of the match and when you first tested? Was the ammo sitting in the sun either day?
  7. I have, as well as their 100gr bullet; no problems loosing the plating if that's what you're asking. Even at 1650fps!
  8. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180316&&page=2 Towards the bottom
  9. If everything is polished nicely the hammer spring only effects SA pull to a small degree so I like to use a 20# spring for a quick SNAP!
  10. As land as we're talking about things he can't get, what about that cone barrel Stock III I saw a picture of?
  11. Nope. Those are both excellent choices; Standing and shooting at the range I felt sold on the heft of the SP01, but I shot a match with the short dust cover and was shock by how quick it felt. Try to shoot each in a match type scenario if you can.
  12. Shoot as many pistols as you can, unfortunately CZs/Tanfos are pretty rare in my area, so I have to buy 'em to try 'em!
  13. I find myself in the same position, I think the only option is to build them up with grip tape or another material.
  14. It's a wide hammer. As it comes on the new Czechmate, I don't think it's designed for carry; the idea is a lower reciprocating mass for a quicker lock time. A year ago I would have called you crazy if you told me a hammer was worth $90, but the race hammer was the best mod I've made on my TS, so I just had to try!
  15. Yes, you can ride the safety, and yes there are extended safeties for the Match, I'm not sure who makes them, but my buddy has an extra set he would likely sell. They look like this:
  16. I don't think its designed any differently, yours may just be a manufacturing odd ball. You can take a Dremel and open up the hole in the frame a little where the detent rests to make it more positive if you desire.
  17. You're not in too bad a position. Once you get your .45 GT all set up for Open you can shoot some matches with it, see if you like the dot and if so convert it to a 9mm/38 upper for minimal cost over what you could sell your .45 conversion for if you so chose. If you didn't like Open, you could find a .45 Stock II barrel and make a nice L10 setup out of it. Hell, I even have a 9mm GT upper I might sell you one day...
  18. If you were to get a standard 9mm conversion, convert to DA and remove the mag well, you might get a hassle at Nationals, but since it would be almost identical, yet technically inferior to the Stock II (let's not even get started with the new, cone barrel Stock III which is basically a DA Limited with added weight at on the frame...), I bet you could shoot it at the local level all day long. Production (practically, but not technically), L10, Limited, and Open.
  19. The new czechmate hammer is like that and very cool. I'm waiting for this hammer so I can send my TS to you guys for a bunch of work. ANY idea when it's going to be available? Today!!! https://shop.cz-usa.com/P-40108/Concealed-Hammer-Sa-Only.aspx I just got mine
  20. Your .45 Gold Team fits into the Open division, but you will be at a capacity disadvantage to the 9mm/38 shooters (13 rounds vs 23 in a 140mm mag). I suggest you get all set up and shoot with what you've got before you go crazy buying new parts. You could easily get a .40 long slide conversion and have a very competitive Limited gun. They should be labeled in KG which can be converted to lbs for comparison to those available at Wolff (gunsprings.com).
  21. Shadow thin: SP01: I'll be damned, I guess they are a little different.
  22. San Diego; I wonder if prices are the same nationwide?
  23. Just get someone with an SP01 to swap, that's what I did.
