  1. Hey Larry: Sorry to Deviate, Any word on the supply of P-30's - Last we traded messages, you felt you could handle the tigger and reset work or refer me to someone who could. Are you shooting one in Production now ?. I am looking to add one to the collection. Thanks, Jon Jon Kushner USPSA # FY51061
  2. Hey Jim (Norman): If the Obcats squad has any open slots, I would love to shoot with you guys or the CJ guys , heading to CJ this Sunday. Thanks, Jon Kushner
  3. Just rec'd 7 of the new Metalform 10 round 9mm Mags. THEY ARE NOT UP ON THE METALFORM WEBSITE YET - SO YOU MUST CALL TO ORDER - PART NUMBER: 9-743 What they are is: - An extended magtube (but flush fitting with S&A or other Single Stack legal magwell), with cutout slats at bottom for removable base pads. - A Wolff or similar high quality spring with extra high angled loop at follower end to maintain best feed angle. - A tried and true flat follower - A co-branded tapered Tripp CobraMag/Metalform Delrin Basepad and retaining plate (depress button to slide off base pad). - A removable rear spacer for for excellent cleanability (those that know me know I am Mr. Anal about cleaning mags). When you buy 7 or more, they are $32.25 a peaice. This may get the 9mm Trojan some stage time This is a really neat product - Metalform: 860-224-2630 - remember part # 9-743 Good luck !!! Jon
  4. Pistol grip for me allows superior one handed handling and pointing, not shooting unless absolutely necassary (re: home defense not IPSC speed). For total IPSC speed straight might be better for some. Jkushner1
  5. My M&P doesnt like heavy bullets, but I do. It shoots 115/124 all day long with excellent accuracy (Burwell bought/built M&P). I saw that Dan stated on his web site that he was working on a barrel. Anyone know anything, I really want to shoot my std Hornady 147 thru it. Its part of my totally tweaked 9mm Production gun collection that may get used if CZ's ever get outlawed (Humor) but I would drop a few hundred $$ though for an M&P bbl that stabilizes 147gr fodder. TY Jkushner1
  6. I saw that Angus was selling 150gr 9mm at his webstore. 3 more grains than 147gr is minimal but does this indicate any trend towards an even heavier 9mm minor load. I know stability will become a problem at really big weights. Has anyone shot these - don't try in your M&P unless your a locksmith looking for a fast way to create key holes in doors. TY ! Jkushner1
  7. Pistol Grip !!! - allows for so much more utility with any shotgun, remember your match gun could be called on to save your life, and your defense gun could be called on to win a match, go with pistol grips on all your shotguns except trap/clays/hunting - there I love true straight, ala british style sprayguns or ye old lever model m Win 49 style. Jkushner1.
  8. After the July accounting hiccup on ballots, I waited 30 days and called Sedro Woolley stating I still had not rec'd a ballot. They said that their hands were tied because of accounting procedure and bylaws, which I believe, and to wait for the resending of the second wave of Ballots, NEVER REC'D - I am a prepaid 5 year member so thats not the problem. Kind of a bummer as I wanted to vote for Gary Stevens for Pres and Nik Habicht for my Area (8). Jkushner1
  9. Have two, both 100% reliable (one with normal hammer (older), one with bob hammer). I love my CZ's - If there were an SP01 ban, I would be shooting the Para 18.9's. TY Jkushner1 Devon, PA
  10. CONGRATS GOING OUT TO THE PA and NJ (peoples republic of) shooters for their performance at the IDPA Nats. from alot of us (even those that can't get out of C like me) who shoot the same mosly circuit of Topton PA, Central Jersey NJ, Old Bridge NJ, etc. Our Shooters are: Dave Olhasso - 1st Place CDP Master Dave Marques - 1st Place SSP Expert (MD along with Jim Norman of Old Bridge - along with CJ, are the two premier venues in NJ - Gun Control advocates can kiss my ass) Mryon Pollard - 3rd Place ESP Expert and all the other guys from our area * Congrats Matt Mink on 2nd place ESP Master - my CZ zen master Jkushner1
  11. As a total nicotine junkie, I smoked from 14 to 29 yrs old, chewed from 29 to 36, for the last 8.5 years have chewed nicorette gum - my guess is I have spent $27,000 on nicorette - the bad news. The good news, C Everett Koop, while phsycian general published a study that there are none of the cancer causing agents in the gum/patch, that the tar causing emphezema and lung cancer are not there and that nictotine by itself is benign. In fact, for people with GI problems like colitis, nicotine is actually good. But still an absolute ncotine junkie. jkushner1
  12. My STI edge in .40 runs flawlessly (I have a nine conversion kit for it too, runs and runs on steel). I have a Para P-14 that I had Hunter Custom trigger, but it ran flawlessly before and after the triggering. As an admitted and known CZ junkie, I would buy a CZ Tac Sport with Angus' Magwell and Basepads (spring and follwer by Beven Grahams - to get an easy 20 rds .40 per mag). Also, if Kimber would ever chamber the Pro BP 10 in .40 that thing would sell like mad - Its my bedtable gun 14 rds .45 acp - all are Juicy Jkushner1
  13. No head or spine involvement I pray. He and Kenny are the essense of the sports modern history. My prayers are with John Force - a great man and promoter of his sport, although our audience much smaller, I feel that Brian, Robby and Todd field that role for our great sport. And of course the new guard, the army team, Max, Travis and JJ so many others, etc. The USPSA should look to endorse a Nascar, or other high visibility endorsement. Prayers can be the difference but only after the physical business is addressed properly. TY JK
  14. I am going to start a poll, since I shoot with him occasionally I hope Chris will be okay with it. Poll: Why is Chriss Grube always SO happy: a. ________ b. ________ c. ________ Chris, we still love ya man (wait until he responds to that "love" part). Peace, Jon * You know I am always causing problems on the airways - except the time I had to apoligize to George for the conspiracy theory I surmised about the Pd rule changes. jkushner1 - Devon, PA
  15. I took Max and Travis's class two weeks before the Nats, Max told me it was the only gun he had ever bought in his life, that his Dad started him out with providing his early guns then the Factory Endorsements covered all the rest of his equipment except the CZ. Max, hope your okay with me saying that, but I just wanted to clarify a fact or our discussion during the class. TY Jon Kushner FY 51061

  17. One answer - Militec. Let it cook into your gun over a few matches, insane lubricating qualities. Nothing wrong with BE's Lube or the stuff that Eric Graffel sells. But I love that Militec in all my handguns and rifles. It goes like this for me - parts washer full of Cyl & Slide Dunkit (poly), then quick submerge in Mobile One, then wipe down completely, the Militec everywhere, reapply mid match, then shoot 5-8 matches without cleaning other than breechface, extractor and ramp, oh yeah and bore. TY Jkushner1
  18. I stay away from those brands, I just shoot this little known Brand named Hornady whose quality control may be the best in the industry. I shoot 147gr 9mm for a little more $60/1,000 - source undisclosed but easily found. Jkushner1
  19. Congrats Max - 4 weeks to prep that CZ 75 SP01, and 2nd at the Nats !!!! A testimonial to a great shooter, and the SP-01 will have to start winning over some fans !!! Pound for pound, dollar for dollar there is no better gun, Angus is either proud of Max or saying damn I should have recommended that other brand. CZ SP01 for USPSA Production Gun of the Year, Olhasso is rumoured to be shooting one at the WS. Jkushner1 - Devon, PA FY51061
  20. I took the Double Impact course on 8/25 - Max had an SP-01 in his holster, said Angus was going to visit him the week before the Nat's to make sure all the bugs were out. Since I am CZ addict, and I was shooting my SP-01 at the course, I couldn't have been happier. Jkushner1 - Devon, PA FY51061
  21. I currently have two 18.9 9mm's - I shoot 90% USPSA, 5% IDPA, 5% Steel - I no longer shot the LDA's but they were great/are great guns. I had Jim Anglin do one trigger, and Hunter Custom the other, both resets were shortened by about 40% and both break at about 3lbs. Jim Anglin trigger was a little better on break, reset was equal between the two and Hunter was more meticulous about the whole job. Back to the gun, these are great prodution guns, especially when you want the same general grip feel as an STI/SVI grip. Both guns are dead accurate, I will not sell them, but dont shoot then much (I try to make 3-4 matches a mos now shooting CZ). I never had any reliability problems with the guns, the newer one has the Amped up extractor, the older of the the two, the older extractor. I use Sprinco guide Rods in both. They loved both 147 and 115 grain 130PF fodder. Well I havent shot them in about three years because I switched to CZ's. Have 9 of them, three sets of twins for ntach back up purposes. If you like the Para go with it.
  22. Wolff +10/+15% Magazine Springs for SP01 I have put these Wolff Magazine Springs in two SP01's - and older 2 slot, and a newer 3 slot, HAS ANYONE USED THESE. They say 10% for Tanfo/Jericho/P-9 and the same spring 15% for CZ. I am also wondering if its necesarry to up the recoil spring rating to balance out the added friction to the under side of the slide. Please provide feedback. For now I am sticking with a 12.5lb chome silicone recoil spring. Please povide feed back if you have experience with these 10/15% extra pwoer mag spring in SP-01 mags. Also if you have compensated wih any recoil sping change. Thanks, Jon jkushner11 * PS: Shot the PA Stat IDPA Championship today and blew it. Played my hand like the match was a race when it was really a chess match with moderate speed. Anyway, procedural overload !!!
