You have helped me before as well, thank you!! My pleasure - hope you find what you're looking for. -
Swarovski Z6i or the Kahles K16i?
Fullauto_Shooter replied to johnson184's topic in Rifle - Technical
I certainly don't hide the fact I'm sponsored by Vortex (see my shirt), but I'll also tell you that I spent my hard earned money on their gear long before they offered me sponsorship. I don't know if your post was directed toward me personally or toward sponsored shooters in general, but I'll chalk up your rather insulting comments to a simple difference of opinion. Enjoy your bacon. -
Caddies Most Similiar to Carbon Arms FSL 8?

I don't know of any other caddies similiar to the FSL8, but "Steve RA" has an FSL8 for sale in the classified section. If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend you take a look at the Carbon Arms Pinwheel or Chest Rig loading systems - for me they are faster and easier to use than the older FSL8s. Best of luck! -
Swarovski Z6i or the Kahles K16i?

From a strictly financial standpoint, you can get the Kahles or you can get the Vortex and have $800 left over for ammo, match fees, or bacon. $800 will buy a LOT of bacon! -

2015 Noveske MultiGun
Fullauto_Shooter replied to MarkCO's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
Big thanks to Mark and team for hosting a great match! This was my first time shooting the Noveske MG, but it won't be the last - interesting stages, shooter-friendly ROs, and great squadmates made this a weekend to remember. I'll be tagging and thanking the sponsors via FB later today; their continued support is amazing. -
Initially got started to save money. Reality is that I actually spend more money than before, but I shoot a HELL of a lot more than when I was buying factory ammo. Also cool to have the "fixings" for 50K rounds sitting on the shelf.

I think IDPA is fun for shooters who prefer to be told exactly how to shoot a stage rather than figure it out on their own. Plus, you wear cool vests. . .

Welcome! If you're looking for an evening match, Temple Gun Club hosts a Thursday night Steel Challenge match; it gets started at 6:00 PM. They are located a couple miles of I-35 just north of Temple; google is your friend for directions! Cost is a very reasonable $5 and we shoot 3 stages. Tons of other shooting opportunities in and around the area.

Is there a specific match hotel or can someone recommend one near the range? -

I just signed up and had to enter a "ghost" character in the "Address #2" line to make the order go through. Have heard great things about this match and really looking forward to shooting it this year. See everyone in a couple months! -
Seems the NRA's primary focus is sending 60 letters a year (to each member) asking for donations. No time to focus on something as inconsequential as an actual shooting competition. Only reason I'm a Life Member is they're the only game in town with the political clout to actually have an impact on the Hill.

Nordic Comp +9 Tube - Spring Length?
Fullauto_Shooter replied to Fullauto_Shooter's topic in Shotgun - Technical
Got my new Nordic springs and cut them 11" past the end of the extension and the shotgun's working like a charm now! Thanks to all for the great advice - seems like no matter how long I do this stuff (3-gun), there's always more to learn. ETA - figured out that what I thought was my "new" spring had actually been cut. -
Can't I just send in a written entry and my money? Or phone it in with credit card info? Please?? This on-line registration business is getting really old - it never seems to work as advertised and is always a pain in the ass. Have wasted the better part of an hour screwing around with this (first at 2000 and now again at 2100).
