    IMO, and I've dealt with BOTH of your issues early on with my RL1100, you have two areas of "clunking" that I can see from your two videos.

     

    First, there's a slight catch/tugging that appears to be coming from your Sizing Die.  As mentioned previously, it could be an issue with your depriming pin hanging onto spent primers; or it could be a lack of lubrication.  Not sure what lubricant you use, if any; but Hornady One Shot has performed excellently for me!  I would take a DEPRIMED brass and just run it into Station 2 (sizing die) and see how the press reacts.  If still experiencing a bit of stick/tug, then lightly lube a DEPRIMED case and try again.

     

    Second, your taper crimp die is DEFNITELY causing the "sticking/tugging" at Station 8!  And IMO can be caused either by the taper crimp die being adjusted incorrectly for the bullet/brass combo your using; or you just have a poorly machined die that needs some further attention as I mentioned in my previous post.  Take a sized case and seat a bullet in it.  Back your taper crimp die off, and start resetting it SLOWLY!  Only adjust it down enough to end up with ~.377" - .378" diameter at the crimp. (for 9mm)  BTW, I always make ALL final adjustments with a full shell plate.

     

    Also while your diagnosing your issues, take a close look at the hold down/expander stem at Station 4 and see if you have any brass deposits sticking to the expanding area.  This can also add to a very small "stick/tug" during press operation.  Prior to starting a loading session, I would take a q-tip and swipe some case lube around the expander.  Including a pic for showing how brass can stick; especially if new or cleaned by wet tumbling.....

     

    This is just how I see it in the videos; and definitely not questioning your reloading abilities or experience.  :)

    Have a friend that's an engineer with Redding Reloading.  At one time I was experiencing sticking/thumping from my 9mm Micrometer Taper Crimp Die.  Here was his reply and fix:

    Do you happen to have a lathe or have a buddy with a lathe or even a drill press with a large chuck?  if you did, you could chuck the inner sleeve and spin it and give it a good polish with some 320 (or finer) paper on a wooden dowel.  I believe that a good polish and maybe work the mouth a bit to give it a good radius would make all the difference in the world.  The inner sleeves are hardened so it might take a little elbow grease.

    I like the Legion but the accuracy of the CZ S2 is impressive especially for a stock pistol.  I hope they expand the optic ready lineup.  

    I had great results with N320 in the S2 Orange; 125g and 147g.  In fact, it was one of the most accurate, out of the box pistols I've ever tested!

     

    Just started testing/using N330 last year; and so far I'm well satisfied with the results in the MAX.

     

    My next big challenge will be developing a load/powder combo for the LO 1911 DS that should be here soon!

    Your going to need to test somewhere around 4.7g - 4.8g in the Legion; especially if it's using the stock barrel which usually likes high velocities to get any reasonable accuracy.  And I'm using 1.080" OAL as that was needed in the CZ;  and worked fine in the MAX.

     

    Never got a chance to test the S2 Orange with N330; but it absolutely loved N320 with either a 124/125 JHP or a 147 JHP!

    Have you tried Shooters World Clean Shot?

    Not sure which pistol your using; however after talking with KKM regarding their match barrel in my P320 MAX, they highly recommended N330.  That was OK since my powder of choice has been N320 for many, many years.

     

    About the best I could get out of the MAX in the Ransom Rest using PD V1 JHPs........

    IMO, if you have a 100% safe, fully functional <2# trigger, then I don't think you have a standard "drop in" fire control group.  So what's it going to cost, in addition to the price of the sear, for a gunsmith to fit/tune a new sear to your existing trigger system?

    Just finished talking to a Friend/Owner of Deep River Customs, and he confirmed that DRC does indeed have the Red Dirt Trigger specifically for the Prodigy.  It is included in their fully prepped upgrade kit.  RD has only made them in the initial run in Black.  More colors coming if sales warrant:

    So the plusses for me were the trigger fit with no adjustment.  Not having to take the trigger out to make adjustments.  Alternately, not having to put too much pretravel in via the arm and having to tap it down little buy little.  Bottom line, it saves time.

     I'm guessing your GS was purposely disabled on the E2.......  

     

    Any chance those installing in a stock 2011 grip may run into grip safety not functioning when adjusting for minimum pre-travel? 

     

    BTW:  The RD trigger looks like an excellent upgrade!  And like you said, will save a ton of time when making adjustments!

    As everyone can see, I have an older MBF that still uses the "round rod" mounting systems.  Have previously been using the nose guide spacers from this kit:

    These spacers worked pretty good; but while still using the spacer set for the collator nose guide, I did have times when I  needed just a tad thicker or thinner spacer than the set offered to be 100% trouble free with certain bullets.

     

    Just installed the RPG2 bullet guide; and it dropped in place perfectly.  A few adjustments of the Side Adjustment along with the Shim Height Adjustment, and it's dropping 124g PD JHPs perfectly!  I feel confident, after running enough bullets for a thorough test, this add-on will be fully operational and trouble free.  And I definitely like the "fine tuning" ability of the adjustments/set screws vs the older shim spacer setup!

     

    Highly recommended!

    I don't think any of MPA's CNC machines are programmed to add a frame mounted bolt pattern of any kind for the Limited Optics or DS9 Hybrid pistols.  Therefore, they're recommending the Nitro Fin. And I don't think they have idle machines that can be used for special requests.

     

    Might be a different situation if you ordered an Open gun. 

     

    I'm sure there are independent GSs that would be glad to add a non-standard part to "your" LOC.  However, would you take the chance of voiding the lifetime warranty with regards to your frame?

     

    Just my $0.02 worth.
