  1. Somebody needs to do a write up on this, I would also like to try this but have a hard time understanding without pics
  2. I use the bladetech with a boss holster in limited to keep everything in the same as my SS gear so switching is not a big deal, I used a race holster but like said above was only saving me about a .10 then switching to SS was difficult with all the gear in a diffent place
  3. It's a Wilson wide, is there something I can do to stop it
  4. Didn't look at the safety, I'll have to take it apart again when I have a min. And yes I ride the safety, it's a 1911 doesn't everybody do that?
  5. I believe it's where it makes contact I'll have to get a pick tomorrow, but I saw one online it looked the same ill try to find that
  6. 6'6'' and I personally just like cargo pants, Duluth trading has the best ones for me they have tons of sizes
  7. I'll try tonight but I did some more research and I think it's the safety hitting the frame and pinning it I'm the same place and leaving like a dent
  8. Anybody have there trojan frame crack or chip away? Mine is cracking around where the left side thumb safety goes in the frame, is this something that is covered under warranty? Yes I know I will call them but I wAs wondering anyone's else's experience with something like this? What could cause this
  9. Some people want more weight than a SDC, and less than the full length. I've seen holes, panels, internal lightening, and the recent surge in popularity of the Butler cut which all produce a frame weight in between the two ends of the spectrum.Just like tungsten sleeves, hybrid barrels, bull barrels, fluted bull barrels, bushing barrels, or aluminum, steel, and tungsten guide rods, frame profile is a variable you can play with to achieve the balance you prefer. That said, I'd imagine those holes don't take out a ton of weight. Maybe someone with an FGW gun can comment? Yes it's sarcasm those are just for the look nothing more, like most lighting cuts they just look cool
  10. That's why they got the full length frame, to lighten it
  11. Why not make "open 10" or "single stack 6" or open revolver .... Open revolver could be bad ass
  12. Make it as easy as you want, shoot limited or open and put as many rounds in the gun that will fit? And where are all these shooters that are leaving production because its to hard?

    Hoppes

Just got a new jug of hoppes, it's been a few years did they change the recipe? It seems clear now, the old one was yellowish and seemed to work a lot better?? Anybody notice this or is it just me
  16. Check your stipple job any material flow into the mag release, or poke through somewhere? That can be dragging on the mag as well
  17. Read that article and the screw seems fine, I took the entire thing apart and the disconnector had a bunch of crud on it? Cleaned it all up and can't duplicate the problem cycling the slide by hand, i guess I'll find out Sunday
  18. How do you measure that? There's not much movement after the trigger breaks how much do you want?
  19. Last night I was shooting my limited gun and it doubled a few times, I can shoot pretty fast splits and this is a new to me gun, I'm thinking I'm just riding the trigger to much but not sure I was reading on some other forums about how to check the trigger and it's said to manually pull the hammer to half cock and see if the trigger is tight which it is very tight no movement that I can tell And if I pull the trigger hold it back and rack the the slide to half cock the trigger doesn't seem to reset? Good? Bad? The article I was reading seemed to say this is not good but it's a little unclear to me Any help would be great Mark
