  1. They were $15 when CAI dumped GP and JG Sales bought it all at a discount. Lots of K100 at $300 and mags at $15. I ordered 6 mags and my extra K100 which is barely used.
  2. We're lost in semantics, here. The P11 is a tiny but stable pistol which puts a Kahr to shame. I'll leave it at that. Thanks
  3. The Harris is a common recommendation, indeed. AS for the mount, I have a full length keymod handguard and 2 weaver rails I can move around, which came with the rifle. From my experience with eyelet on a different rifle, I don't think it is going to be as stable as the weaver-mounted one.
  4. What rail-mounted bipod would you recommend? Looking for something under $100. Thanks!
  5. I would recommend 3.8. What I do, when building a load is first get a close enough weight then use the hex screw to increment and decrement by 1/6 of a turn, this because Titegroup does not measure well, you will always have a +/- .1 gn drop between cases and you'll get nuts trying to get your powder to the exact targeted weight. Titegroup: does not measure well and is very dirty. The only pro: it's available and cheaper than N320. So I take my batches all separated in this manner: 0; +1/6; +2/6; +3/6; -1/6; -2/6; -3/6 Use a sharpie on the side of the hex screw that is facing up as a "0" index. Once you have the proper load, set the hex screw accordingly, measure 10 drops, average. Mark that number down.
  6. This thing needs to be tight anyway. I used a bit of lube on mine and gently pressed with needle nose pliers.
  7. Also what looks like a "bulge" is probably simply the "Coke bottle" shape that is normal in 9mm cartridges and, even if it does not case gauge in your EGW die, it may very well be perfectly shootable. Unless you're shooting 9mm open major, I would just case gauge them at the range!
  8. The EGW die has a tight tolerance and is likely to reject rounds which would chamber and shoot just fine. The only time I use an EGW die is for when I shoot .40S&W out of my Trojan. It needs to be perfect or it will have issues. I use the Dillon dies except for the crimp, which is a factory crimp die, because the adjustment is a lot easier than on the Dillon die.
  9. I absolutely strongly recommend the strong mount. Before my 650, which I immediately installed on the strong mount, I had my 550 flush mounted on my bench. Although it worked fine at first, I ended up having stability issues which caused cases being banged up. I am now not only mounting my table on the strong mount, but am also planning on bracing the case feeder so that not even a minute oscillation turns into an upside down case.
  10. Only had it once happen to me, on the 550 before I upgraded to the 650. This because the priming arm had a worn out cup. Dillon exchanged it for a brand new one (thanks, Looch!). I ... just... upgraded to the 650. No tale to tell yet. By the way, it just reminded me of when cap guns were popular and perfectly fine to offer to your kids. Smelled and sounded just the same.
  11. Well, I did shoot somebody's P11 and it was an amazing pistol. It is the one GP I still want to get.
  12. Ah, well.... It's no big deal if I missed it. I run it in production, I'm a man of actions, not words
  13. Grand Power X-Calibur. That's what you want.

Believe me. And you'll say thank you.

It is really a good package for the price. zero upgrade needed.

  14. Nobody ever tries the Grand Power P11 and that's sad
  15. I don't disagree either. It's also a looong name. Or maybe just go by "GP". It reminds me of the story behind the WP brand of motorcycle suspension springs. It actually stands for "White Power". But not because the owners are white nationalists or supremacists, but because the only paint they found which would resist high wear and stress was white paint used for hospital beds and they just added the term "power" to the color. Being a bunch of young Europeans, they completely missed the issue behind the name. Now they just go as "WP". Sooooo... Maybe Grand Power could do business as GP and save us a few syllables when we try to convert new shooters.
  16. I am also frustrated that they don't have a larger following either. I am asked constantly if what I shoot is a CZ. And when I try to educate about my X-Calibur, I get all sorts of reactions, from "never heard" to "I've read a few good things about them" but rarely do people want to try them or even dry fire them at the safety area. My guess for the lack of following (without being too political): Saturated market for polymer 9mm pistols in general Still very new on the market The CZ75, Tanfo, XD and Glock rule the class already A catch 22 of a lack of followers meaning less followers are likely to be made Very few aftermarket parts besides DAA (race holsters), RHT (kydex holsters), Henning (base pads), Springer Precision (base pads and grip tape)... Yeah, that's about it. It's also had a chaotic history in the US, but I said I don't want to be too political.
  17. Good choice. P1 Mk7 is my carry / bed side table gun. The P11 is probably the best sub compact 9mm, by far.
  18. We are used to read it as "mark" but it may be short for something in Slovak.
  19. The GP6 appeared circa 2010. It sold poorly and had issues. But it was actually a rebranding of the K100 Mk6 by STI. They also sold the P1 as the GP5. Note that the K100, P1 and X-Calibur all has the same lower, with some changes in the trigger assembly.
  20. I use the 135gr RN from Bayou. With 3.3gr of TG and OAL or 1.120 Very accurate out of my X-Calibur.
  21. As Everyone says: a CZ75. Or for half the price an X-Calibur. But, whatever I say...
  22. It will be consistent-er if you measure after running your batch with all the stations working. If you measure by just running one round through each station individually, it will be more inconsistent.
  23. A piece of metal is more likely to move when hit harder. I did not write the laws of physics.
  24. I had a harder time with monlr 9mm than with my 1911 loaded major 40. You need a lot less hits with major, obviously. one magazine per spinner with my 1911 is all it took.
