  1. A coyote at app120 with a Glock 27. one shot. Two witnesses. Another at 306 ranged yards with a scoped T/C 10" hornet. Piece of red iron about 12" square at 200 with a 45 Trojan. Hit it 3 times out of the first magazine with one witness. Then spent 6-8 more mags and never hit it.
  2. I called recently regarding having primer issues with both my 550 and 1050 and was informed it would cost me $352.95 to go through them. I think I'll wait a few days and hopefully reach someone whos voice doesnt reflect how long a week it had been.
  3. Have someone film you while you're shooting. I bet a coke you'll find that you are repositioning it at least between some of the shots. Everyone I've filmed has done so.
  4. You coming back to the southeast? Look forward to seeing you. dj Possible. I still have a house in GA someone needs to rent. Dont you need to move? I need to. Our mutual friend is practicing to take us down.
  5. I didn't read every post, but as long as its called the SAME way for EVERY shooter, what does it matter?
  6. I took a break for nearly 7 years to come back and find not much has changed. There will always be some that wont do their share. There will always be those who don't want to speak up. Perhaps an enforced rotation of duties is required? How to enforce it? I've no viable solution, but I sure have tossed a lot of tape rolls to people of all ranks.
  7. I'd think the effort to learn the "flip" will more than offset the times Murphy helps press the enlarged button. YMMV.
  8. Limited because Im, well, Limited. Before all the other divisions came into place, I'd be heard quoting "Iron men, Iron sights." Now at 47 and my eyes are changing it seems daily..... Open is just not me. Hate the noise. Production would be a division I'd enjoy if not for the feeling of stepping down. Limited all the way, unless Im playing around, more or less testing equipment.
  9. Chucks been around a long time and I've never heard a complaint. I cant say that about many businesses.....well none that I can think of.
  10. Agreed. The thing that is even worse IMO, is when Im slowly moving the slide back to let it roll out onto the ground and the RO rushes to catch it at the gun. Uh, I appreciate your wanting to help, but please don't.
  11. Welding while wearing a pair of shorts....back in the day when shorts were actually, uh, short. Having the hammer follow on an open gun during a stage and actually think I could "fan" the last two rds fast enough to not get a FTF. Them slides move realllll fast! Front kick a cop at an AC/DC concert to avoid an arrest. (Whats the statue of limitations?) Try to keep up with a Kawasaki sponsored rider on the Tale of the Dragon...even if they were a girl. Improvise a guide rod spring tool out of a target staple hastily and then let it come loose, shooting me in the finger. Note: Pulling a staple when its imbedded into your finger BONE requires a Leatherman. You dont want to have to pull twice.
  12. Hey good to hear that. Hope to see you two around. Looks like you've added a couple additions. Congrats!
  13. I've near identical 5" and 6" guns. One year at the Nats they had a timed standards stage starting at 50yds. There were strings of weak and strong hand as well. I set up and practiced the piss out of this stage for days. First with the 5", then the 6". I documented and compared all the strings. Bottom line was "I" could not shoot one any better than the other. The only difference I can tell, is if I've been off the trigger for awhile, the 6" seems more forgiving. That being said, if I had the money I'd have Benny build me another 6". RWS
  14. Well I got out of the sport for several years. Going to try and make a few matches to catch up with some old friends. See yall at the range.
