  1. Bravo Concealment Raven Concealment Storm Holsters Blade-Tech Comp-Tac JM Holsters These are all top grade kydex. Each has pros and cons depending on the type of holster.
  2. Did you use a dawson rear? When you order sights from dawson you get to do some height measuring. They sell differrent front sights to account for different points of impact. The key is to measure your old sights while they are on the gun then take the difference between the two and find a dawson set that closly matches the difference. Clear as mud??
  3. The dual capture spring was bad for the 9mm in gen 4 but fixed the issues that LE had with the G22 when running a light.
  4. yes but depending on the state and agency. We qual out guys once a year and for many that is the only time they clean it.
  5. Yep, Todd is a good dude and really knows what he is doing.
  6. Comp shooting will not teach good tacticls as to movement and so on but there are some good things that mil and LE can take away such as good shooting fundimentals, how to speed up reloads, transitioning from target to target. as a cop I live by the rule of not doing things that are going to get me hurt and some of the rules in matches are not geared for that. That said, matches still force all shooter to preform under stress. Now from my side, when I shoot matches I do not score as high as the guys that strictly shoot comp. Its because when I shoot a match I use the skill set that I would use everyday. Thus I get dinged for certain proceedurals and generally slower in time.
  7. There are a lot of cross over in tacticas however some not. Specific things like "tactical sequence" and other match rules can be a big no no in the real world. Also there are some things that are done in comp to save time that are not done on the street. That all said, There are things that the tier 1 military guys and LE learn from comp shooters such as speed, draw time, target trans, and so on. Its all knowing what tactics are applicable for comp vs street. Ton of great instructors in the US. What state are you in. I train / teach all over and know a lot of great instructors. I recommend a good tuned up instructor that teaches real world tactics, not sand box, tactics from war. Shooting is shooting, correct but there is a lot more that is taught in a good class that is going to be geared at fighting in a urban US environment.
  8. Put the factory spring back in and see if she runs right.
  9. I would get some vise sleeves too. Just mount to something very stable. I too have vises mounted on corners of work benches to allow bulky items.
  10. Sounds like maybe rhe mr sping isnt giving you enough resistance
  11. Was it smooth or did it have a wall that you hit?
  12. Many Glocks of all flavors and an STI Edge. I gave up reloading about 10 years ago. Just not enough time
  13. Hey guys, Ive been a member here for about 4 years but never really posted. Just used it as a resource for matches and so on. Good to meet yall.
  14. I am running these along with extended spring for my duty gun. very reliable
  15. What weight spring did you go to?

    Glock 17 vs. 34

I carry a 17 as a duty gun but shoot a 34 in matches. I like the longer sight radius.
  17. Use a single captured or non captured recoil spring. The duals in the gen 4 9mm are an on going pain. oh and run a reduced spring weight
  18. To complete your second statement I will say Unless you know what you are doing.. Totally agree. Ive got a steel gun that has it all but II was referring to the op, which seemed to have limited experience,
  19. Comped guns do take a bit of tuning to run. Your going to have more fun when you do start loading.
  20. Push the plunger down and the extractor will come out. Prob just realy dirty ( POLICE TRADE-IN) Only about 2% of cops know how to clean guns. lol
  21. benny does great work but a buddy recently had issues with the incorrect size brl link being installed after fitting a 1911.
  22. The Gen 4 dual captured recoil spring system is not all that. I would change it even if thats not your problem. That said, it could be the recoil spring, ammo, mags and so on.
