  1. Hopefully (and I'm probably wrong) there is enough rule of law and common sense left that a Republican House won't give Obama an AWB or anything he asks for.
  2. $29 is twice as good a deal as the one I saw go for $66 on fleabay a week or 10 days ago.
  3. Wow! I'm far too thrifty to ever leave that much money on the table, no matter how annoyed I am with anything. OK I'll fess up, I'm really tightfisted and cheap; but, thrifty sounds better.
  4. gimpy, I see you're asking these reasonable questions; but, really seems to me, you "gots the I wants gotta haves", so never mind sorting through reasonable answers to reasonable questions -- just go for it and find out!
  5. I thought I had this all figured out to just do stainless in a tumbler. What am I missing that I still need to do both? Thanks.
  6. Wow! That Sidewinder is really nice. I bought a Thumbler's Tumbler from these guys: http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com/
  7. I just bought a tumbler, instead of a vibrator, because I wanted to give stainless media a try. I don't have experience with either and may regret my choice; but, after everything I've read I thought this might be the way to go.
  8. Exactly, "It's only money" and think of how much money can be saved by buying the 1050 at the get go instead of embarking on a multi-step upgrade program. And now I wonder - how all these savings would or wouldn't work had I bought big blue instead of little red to start with? Hmmmm!
  9. Call Hornady up and ask. I'm pretty sure they now charge $10.00 a piece to machine them. In the past, I think they did them for less or one free or something like that. Thank you for your service.
  10. Not new - used, but you ought to check out the 550 with extras that lifeislarge posted in the classifieds this morning. Run the numbers for everything and see what you think. At least half of what I buy is used and that percentage is growing. If you're gonna buy new, buy from Brian.
  11. Me too. The reason for it may be (IS) rooted in advancing age and increasing resistance to change rather than shortcomings in the electronics that I have no desire to try.
  12. Not using progressive lenses; but, instead of using my bifocals I had a pair of shooting glasses made. The entire lens for the dominate eye is my bifocal prescription adjusted for the distance from my eye to the front sight on my M&P Pro, the entire lens for the non-dominate eye is my distant vision prescription. It works very well for me. It did take some getting used to. I've met others with the same set up and it works well for them.
  13. Talk about "newbie", I guess I don't even know what this roll sizing business is about.
