My X5 with Springer .375 base pads in the IDPA box. Actually fits easier than my Tanfo Lim Pros or XDm 5.25's

I cranked it all the way to the bottom brought it back up a half a turn and my first three shots went through the "A" of a USPSA Target from 15 yards.

BTW the Dawson .205 x .090 ft sight is perfect.

Shot both yesterday - I have a Burke and my buddy has a GG - both excellent. Major difference to me is the Burke is IDPA and USPSA legal by the letter of the law. Shot first match, IDPA Sat, finished 2nd OA, 1st ESP, 1st Senior. I'll take it considering I had never drawn the gun from a holster 'til the 1st stage. ? Good start for the X5.

I don't know what happened but Kalob at Springer tried the ones they had on hand and they wouldn't work either so as I said they're reengineering them. I know I could have made them work by removing material but that seems to defeat the purpose.

What's your point ? The Springer floor plates will not work with the Springer base pads and besides I have an X5. The mags that come with the X5 are good for nothing unless you like to shoot Limited Minor.

Find that thread where he puts the washer/shim under the primer seating bracket. Night and day. Zero LPS's with 13 lb mainspring in Tanfos. Also zero in G34, XDm 5.25 and PCC.

I built 2 Limited Pros and they are fantastic. Once I made the modification to my 650 that I saw on here I have had zero light primer strikes. If the X5 lives up to expectations it will be my go-to platform.

Based on what others had said I was amazed at how light. The gun is the flattest shooter I've ever fired. Shoots very tight groups but as others have said shoots low - in order to get it to shoot point of aim I have the rear sight cranked to the ceiling. My front sight was .245 - have a .205 coming from Dawson. This pistol shoots insane double taps. My Comp-Tac holster came today, still waiting on the Red Hill Tactical. Will shoot IDPA ESP (not SSP because I want to try the magwell) on Saturday and USPSA Production on Sunday.

Just got my X5 back from Robert Burke - the average of 10 pulls on my Lyman gauge was 2.7. Reset is much improved and trigger overall is much smoother. Test-fire this afternoon.

No good for Production, SSP or ESP.

They don't work. Kalob at Springer is having them re-engineered. The floor plate bottoms out on the ridges in the mag before you can install the base pad.

Bought 17 rd mags and Springer Precision .375 base pads for my X5. I also bought the SP competition floor plates to hold the base pads on. Interestingly enough they don't work together. You can't push the floorplate down far enough to install the base pad.

Just because they're no longer importing it doesn't mean they don't still have the rights to it.
