I pulled the trigger on one of their extended mounts last night for a lightweight build I'm working on. I'll follow up with my thoughts on it after I give it a test drive.

Beth was on the grill is my guess.
No way. They would never kill off a significant character like that.

Just picked up one of the Voodoo 16.5 rifle length ultralight's off a prize table. Please keep posting all your results.

Which just reminded me to pack a couple garbage bags for dirty laundry.

Some stages might be less fun than others to shoot in the rain.e.g the stage where you have to crawl through the tunnel. You know it! It would be awesome to shoot a stage under some thunder. The 8 hours resetting stages would be a little less glorious however.

Less than 24 hours until my departure. Anyone else getting a little excited yet?
See ya'll on the range in a couple days

In getting all my gear packed up to make the 21 hour jaunt to Task Force Dagger this week. I'm curious, do you guys top off all your mags to save space, or do you just box all your ammo and load at the range. Figuring I could eliminate about eight 50 round boxes of ammo between rifle and pistol by topping off all my mags. Since we are car pooling, I'm trying to be considerate and keep my baggage to a minimum.

I have the original competition trigger in mine and it's really nice, 3lb 4oz break. Just last night installed the new ultimate trigger in a buddies gun and it's flippin awesome. His breaks at 2lb 6oz. Just got in the house from test firing it and it ran like a swiss watch. I'm now having trigger envy.

New to this match.. Will there be a sight-in range. If so what distance and when will it be open?
Sounds like there will be a 200 yard zero range opening on Thursday.
-
You guys had a chance to walk the stage beforehand right? You had a chance to feel how much force it was going to take to dump the targets. Load and choke accordingly. It's just part of the game. To me IC is pretty loose unless the targets are all under 18 or so yards. Sounds like throwing in a LM or M choke would have solved the issue. IDK......JMHO as I wasn't there.

Yeah, that was pretty messed up, but what choice did Carol really have?
None. I told the wife during the episode where she almost smothered Judith (which none of the survivors actually saw) that Lizzy is psychotic and should be put down. At the time she thought I was just cruel and heartless......

Probably the darkest episode since the beginning of the series. Wow.

Actually, just received them today, 5 days after calling in to try and figure out the problem. So kudos to Springfield for promptly correcting the issue. Lesson to be taken away is, if you are having a CS issue with SA, just pick up the phone. Their email system is apparently broken.

Currently I've got a BTE micro adjustable on mine Koop. Similar to the JP and i just bought one of those to put on the 16". They are 48 bucks and I am able to adjust mine through the handguard. Never had a problem with it getting stuck, use blue loctite and its holding in place.
This does look interesting and the price is about half of most the adjustable GB's on the market. http://bte-usa.com/parts/micro-gasblocks.htm
What handguard are you running with it?

We also have Brownells and APF Armory, a local company stepping up as SILVER Sponsors. Thank you.
Jay
This just keeps getting more awesome. For those that don't know, APF is a manufacturing and retail business out of Alexandria, MN. They have real shooters working for them and have recently released their own 3-gun rifle. Expect to be hearing more of these guys as time goes on. Check them out on the web here http://www.apfarmory.com/rifles/ or check them out on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AlexProFirearms

Thanks folks. Called and got the issue resolved. They had accidentally shipped them to an old address back on 12/12/13. Lady on the other end was very helpful and polite and didn't know why they would have shipped to my old address, but is getting me squared away and re-sending my order. She had no explanation as to why nobody had answered any of my emails.

Okay. Maybe just a range fee for sponsor slots then? Cause I've never heard of an additional "range fee" at a major. That or it's still just a joke and I don't know the punch line.

Did anyone else here order XDm 9mm mags directly through SA last fall during their "Black Friday" sales? If so have you received them? When I ordered them it said they were in stock and I should receive my order in 7-10 days. Now I'm not crying for the mags as I've got enough that it's not an emergency or anything. Whats starting to tick me off is I've now sent 4 emails to their CS dept over the past 3 months and have yet to get any kind of response. I don't know if they are just out of stock or my order is all jacked up for some reason. Order is still on file as pending, but at this point who knows what is going on. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of them anymore, at least all the retailers around here seem to have them in stock. Thanks.

R we gonna have the $60 range fee at registration this year?
$60 range fee??? I hope this is some type of joke that I don't get because I wasn't at last years match.

I recently picked up a new Weaver 8x28 1000 yard RF for a song. Guy won it at a banquet and didn't want it, so I bought it for $100. I haven't used it a bunch yet, but so far I'd say it's way better than the Nikon Monarch 800. With the Nikon, 400 yards is the max on non-reflective targets such as animals, bushes, etc. The Weaver seems pretty reliable to 600. Unless something drastically happens to convince me otherwise, the Weaver will be the one going in my 3-gun bag this season.

Are there still openings? I'd love to come out from Utah to shoot this match.
Unless it's filled in the last couple days which is highly unlikely, there was still plenty of room. So get in that app.

how solid are they? Any flex?
About as solid as any of them I think. They are all going to flex to some degree especially the 15" HG's, but they are fully floated so it really doesn't matter. Compared to a Midwest the flex is about the same. Compared to a solid Rock River with no venting or lightening slots, it flexes a little more. But on any of the ones I've tried you have to intentionally squeeze the barrel and handguard together to make them flex at all, something you would never notice or be an issue in actual shooting conditions.

Welcome. My dad lives just north of Eureka and fishes Flathead on a fairly regular basis. Beautiful country up there for sure. Funny, he was just trying to coax me out for a visit a couple weeks ago using a radio add he heard for a 3-gun match. I was tempted, just love it up there. Where else in the US can you take just about every species of large game native to North America without leaving your porch.

Yeah the Dawson's are what I was looking at. Anyone running them with the Gram's spring and follower that can chime in.

I'm thinking Beth is at Terminus and being held captive, but I don't think she's dead yet. I don't think they would kill her off without showing it. My guess is she is in one of the other shipping containers that the calls of help were coming from while the group was being herded through their compound.
