  1. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people with great info on here. I make it through your area about once or twice a year going to Ocean Springs / Biloxi to visit family.
  2. About every day for me too. Especially this week cause I can't make it to Circleville Saturday.
  3. I'd REALLY like to be there Kids are at Otterbein and have a home FB game. I'm "primary" driver for everybody to get there. crap!
  4. Had a great time, Paul. Thanks for a good match. First time at Miamisburg. Nice facility.
  5. That classifier really had me worried, Monica because of my 180 DQ at circleville a couple weeks ago while kneeling. I really enjoy shooting with all these people - they have been so helpful! Scot suggested I lose the hat for that prone string and I listened any time Kevin spoke! I'm sure all three squads had helpful folks in them, but I was in a pretty good one with Kevin, Chris and Ralph - picked up a lot of good tips.
  6. Thanks Chris - that one in Indiana is just a bit too far for me, lol. Have fun, be safe.
  7. I'm looking too, Tom. Specifically for one on a Sunday cause I'll be in your neck of the woods Saturday at the Otterbein game.
  8. I didn't get to shoot this stage... ...
  9. Welcome. Where you shooting at Oxford Sunday? Can you point me towards a website? I'd like to get a few more matches in. I'm new as well - only two matches so far.
  10. DQed at Circleville yesterday on the next to last stage - at the very very can't be closer to the end. I'll set it up - Had finished the COF. I was on one knee as the last 3 poppers were through a low port - not especially low, but low for me. RO gave usual commands to unload, show empty, drop hammer, reholster - here's where the problem was and he was doing his best to make me understand to STAND UP first. In the position I was in, I ended up sweeping my thigh, but worse - I broke the 180 trying to get holstered. Sorry guys. A couple of the guys seemed more disappointed than me - that made me feel better. But I learned from this. And if the 180 is going to be broken, I'm glad the gun was clear - with no doubt. I know 100% what I did wrong and what I should practice to help with transitions from standing to kneeling. Stayed to see the squad shoot the last stage and paste.
  11. I'll be there...with an official uspsa member number this time. Match #2 for me.
  12. I recently did the same and after getting my packet from uspsa, went on line and couldn't log in. Sent an email and the response - very quick - said what everybody has listed above, but the responder specifically wrote that it would not get updated until after nationals.
  13. Here's 5 from a total newbie, having only attended my first and only match...so far, cause I'm hooked. 1. Getting there early to ease into it and help set up and being greeted right away by the RM - thanks Jason. 2. Meeting another first timer that I had corresponded with on other forums and his brother - thanks Derek and Shane. 3. Meeting a bunch of nice and helpful shooters in my squad. Thanks Jason, Fran, Steve, Dave, and several others - sorry, I'm really bad with names - but that gives me more to work on. 4. Not DQ'ing on my first trip out. 5. Knowing that I'll be welcome - and have already been invited to upcoming matches at that particular club and a few others in the area.
  14. Moving right along. USPSA packet arrived in the mail today. A-73802 I guess the tuna's on the line...
  15. Welcome - I'm new to the forum and to USPSA. Lots of good info here and nice folks.
  16. I'm the Technical Director for a cardiovascular ultrasound lab in a private internal medicine practice.
  17. hhhmmmm. Now my wheels are turning. I bet I could be over there by 6:30 or 7. I usually leave Mt. Carmel East at 4. You might see me Monday.
  18. Thanks Ics. I've been looking over the Miamisburg website. Yeah, Mondays would be difficult to get over there by start time - I work on the far east side of Columbus, and live in western Ross County. But I am going to show up for the October Sunday match.
  19. Hello, New to forum, been lurking a week or so. Shot first USPSA in Circleville last week. Had a blast, met some good people. I have a lot to work on. Just a good thing Jonathan succombed to the heat, lol. Kept me out of dead last in Limited. Oh, well, have to start somewhere, I guess.
