  1. nice clean set up...I also started with a Rock Chucker kit and added a 550 .... now the Rcbs main job is push thru sizing...
  2. I use Wolff +10% on mine ....
  3. I load 3.3 of TG with 175 Grns LSWC at 1.125 for my Para Ordnance s16-40 Ramp barrel with no hicups...PW is about 144..
  4. any new update on the magazines?? just called Para today and they are in stock for 35...no chrome only black..I talked to Tim ..ordered 3.... Magazines arrive today!!
  5. N320 ...back it up with Titegroup...
  6. It happen to me....TWICE!! first, I called Para they sent me one...then after a a couple hundreds it crack again inspite of me replacing the springs..I gave up, ordered an EGW with an EGW extractor with bushing....
  7. any new update on the magazines?? just called Para today and they are in stock for 35...no chrome only black..I talked to Tim ..ordered 3....
  8. May I know on what kind of barrel do you use on your G35? and what is the weight of the recoil springs? Also, did you have a chance to try to chrono that thru a 1911?
  9. The sleeve isn't quite as long as the extractor channel. I pushed mine in until it was flush with the breach face. The instructions say to wait 24 hours for the locktite to cure/dry before installing the extractor or using your pistol. -John thank you!!
  10. After reading this article I got some cotton balls and wet it with alcohol.....make some little balls of cotton that would fit a little snuggly ang push it down with the primer rod on both tubes (pick up and magazine)....and the first couple of balls that came out got some yellow residue in it...(just like cleaning your ears...lol)...I think that will be an extra steps to do once in while...
  11. Thanks, it kinda helps the problem is I already bought springs, followers and basepads from Dawson Precision. Really just need the tubes. Other issue is that I live in CA..... Para wouldn't sell me a body. I discussed with the tech that it was legal to sell bodies to California, but it didn't make much difference. The tech asked what was wrong, and I explained that the lip had cracked. He said to just send the mag back ($5 shipping) and they would fix it. Sent it back and received a new body, not repaired, a week later, no charge. all you need is an xtra 5buks....ship it to your relative outside Republic of California then tell yur relative to ship it back to you......
  12. I found a botlle of loctite 680...well suited for the intended use..I'm getting one...my EGW are still on the way...how far forward do you need to go?...all the way until the breech face?..I hadn't seen one yet..
  13. I run them thru after they're cleaned and before they hit my square deal... +1
  14. what kind of locktite did you use for the sleeve?...thanks
  15. Do you have some data starting from 3.6 and up...with a n320 ..thanks
  16. I'm planning to install a sleeve on my Para PXT ....It's on the way from EGW together with their HD extractor...Now what number of loctite do I need to use for the sleeve?
  17. so now I am cleared that we are not referring to the same throat....thanks for the clarification...
  18. Barrel throat or leade will definitely affect both pressure and muzzle velocity. Loading with the bullet too close to the rifling will generally raise peak pressure, and reduce muzzle velocity. It can make a big difference with fast powders. the barrel throat that I am referring is the ramp throat (the part where we polish for smooth feeding)... unless you are referring to another part of the barrel that is also called throat....please enlighten me because also want to learn so I can check my barrel too...Thank you
  19. I don't think the throat of a barrel would affect the pressure or the velocity of the bullets...but I know that pure lead alloys are much faster bullet than plated or jacketed...I do use standard Lee dies with a taper crimp but I run all my brass (from me or accidentally mix with mine) to a Lee push thru die (which is a factory crimp die) before I feed them to my 550....just in case there is mix up of glock fired brass that got mix into my brass
  20. may I ask if your barrel is a ramp/supported?....I presume it is, being an STI...because the shape of the opening is somewhat like the throat of the barrel...I'm just asking because I also shoot a Para 16-40 and my loading is little bit on the low side...3.3 TG, OAL of 1.125 with a 175LSWC...PF of 144 and 3.7 TG, 175 LSWC and its already hitting the 163 PF......
  21. What are you waiting for?....GOOOO!!!right now don't let him sleep it over....he might change his mind tomorrow .....or I might take the couple of hours drive and take it....
