I read about this in a magazine a year or so ago and completely forgot about it until I just came across it while browsing swfa.com. I was wondering, would this put you in to Open Class? It is a magnified optic, and it has a separate red dot. But, technically its one optic. Kruger 1-8x

Any idea when the black ones will be ready? I ordered first thing Monday morning when I saw this thread, just got an email that they are on backorder. I'm guessing it just means they arent ready quite yet

I'm also looking at different barrels to build a new 3 Gun rifle. I am wondering though, what diameter does a barrel need to be to have it fluted?

I should have my registration in the mail in the next day or two.

I know that a ported barrel on a shotgun puts you into Open Class. But what about an extended ported choke tube? Also, does a ported choke tube really effect recoil and/or muzzle rise?

I ordered the 1.5" end cap extension, Nordic part number CAP-XXL-12-00, it WILL give you an extra round in the tube. Huzzah! What choke is that?

Where can I find these Hogue's? I am not seeing them on their website.

Picked mine up today. Tore it down and gave it a good cleaning. Then drove a few miles down the road to some farmland and ran 25 3" BBB's, 25 2-3/4 #8 and 25 2-3/4 #7 with no issues. It cycles really fast. Has fairly low recoil. Points real nice. Loads very easy. Light and crisp trigger. and in my opinion, is dead sexy.

I think I am going to pull the trigger (for lack of a better term) and get myself an XDm 5.25 in 9mm. Can anyone recommend a mag pouch that can use either or both Tec Lock or the Safariland ELS kit? I am currently using a CR Speed belt with Blade-Tech holster and pouch with Tek Lock and like the Tek Lock, but will probably switch to the ELS in another year or so when funds dictate as its easier to switch out components between stages. I've looked at the CR Speed and Double Alpha pouches. Both look good and are roughly the same price, but I am not sure if either is compatible with Tek Lock or ELS.

I have been shooting 3 Gun for about a year and half now. I have been using a stock Bushmaster and was starting to get pretty good with it. Just this week I had my gunsmith install a Rock River 2 stage, tune it to 3.5lbs and added a PRI MSTN comp. I went to the range today to re-zero and got her dialed in. I didn't bring a whole lot of ammo, only 1 magazine. It only took 9 rounds to zero, so with the remaining 21 rounds I set up a target at 15 yards to see how the comp would help my double taps. It did not. Before the upgrades, I could throw 2 rounds as fast as my finger could pull and they'd hit about an inch apart. Today, first shot would hit the mark with the 2nd round 3 to 4 inches low. My questions to you, are there drills or something I can practice to speed up my the learning curve for these upgrades? Or is it simply shooting more and more and let the timing come? I got a pack of these in my prize bag at the NW Multigun Challenge last summer. Great targets! made it easy to set up intricate stages in a limited area.

Any news on release date? I had my FFL get put on a list with his distributor for one as soon as they are available.
