  1. I guess we will have to try something else.....
  2. Thanks for the pictures and video, Julie. What a great match and nice people. If they didn't were shoes, you would think you were in Tennessee. Thanks to all the staff and RO's. I really appreciate all your hard work. I will be back as soon as y'all will let me.
  3. That would be true if we were shooting the Bianchi Cup. Most of the stages at the IRC and every other match (except a classifier match) are field courses. You have to formulate a plan that shoots to your strengths then execute that plan. There is no part of this in Far and Near. It is not the holy grail of stages. It is a knock off of the stage at the Bianchi Cup so it is not really an ICORE stage. Just like the steel stages we run. Icore is a melting pot of disciplines and Far and Near is just one part of it. I have said this before. The shooters that like it are the ones who shoot it many times before the IRC. No everyone has the opportunity to do so. The ones that do have a great advantage. It is a challenging stage there is no doubt. It is a test for sure but it is not the only test. I would like to see the Far and Near every other year and the off year have a 60 round field course or a stage with 36 falling steel targets. That would be a test.
  4. +1. It is always good. I love field courses and you can't beat 10 30 rounders in one match.
  5. I think you can shoot it twice and keep the best score.
  6. I was hoping you didn't notice. I guess now I'm your bitch too.
  7. That is the point. You get to shoot it many times before the IRC. Most of the local icore guys shoot it everyday leading up to the IRC. Those who do not get to shoot it at all are at a huge disadvantage. I think you will find that most of the shooters who want it in are the same ones who shoot it many times before the match. Why not have it every other year? In the off year have a 60 round field course. That should even up things.
  8. Open: Jerry, Wolfe, Itzstein Lim: Bucket Boy, Danbagger, Elliot
  9. Me too, RIP Summer Blast.
  10. Who do I see about that??? Cliff, are you staying with Jbag & Danbagger this weekend? mike That's the plan.
  11. If you are usinga taper crimp, switch to a roll crimp for your revolver, the problem should go away. +1 I roll crimp mine and love it.
  12. A present for me??? I can't wait. Is it cold and comes in sets of 24?????
  13. I just got home from Dave's Supreme Gunsmithing World Headquarters. We did exactly what CJ and Gregg suggested. Polished the channel and chanfered the back side of the bushing. He also polished the pin. It seems to work fine now. I don't think I will get to shoot it before the match but I know everyone (except Bwana) will wish me the best. Yes Mike, the first thing I did was change the pin and the spring. That did not help at all but I did notice that the original spring had been trimmed so I threw it out. Now I have a factory spring in there.
  14. Yes I am, I did 2 reloads last night after the gun problems so it is empty.
  15. Hammer is good. The firing pin sticks if I push it up to the top of the channel by hand.
  16. Bubber, I agree with you and Dave. Bob Perdue also said the same thing. I know it happened yesterday. The gun ran perfect for 4 years. I don't think it was the firing pin. It did the same thing with 2 different pins. I am just not able to find the burr or whatever it is. I have cleaned out the channel and there is nothing in it, no broken spring, brass etc. It worked with live ammo so I think I can get through the southern regional. Bwana will be there so I shouldn't be last in any case.
  17. I think feeding the beer was a good idea, Shut up Tony.
  18. I was shooting my 627 today to chrono some loads for the southern regional and I noticed the firing pin was stuck in the out position. I could not push it back with my finger. I took it out and put a new on in along with a new spring and the same think happened. It seems to work OK with ammo and only sticks when I dry fire. It has the c&s extended pin. Anyone have this happen??
  19. Keep it up Hop. This is turning into a banner year for revo. I hope we can get number at the nats to top it off.
