Yes i use mine to do 9mm. I made a new rod to help support and align the case. You can wrap tape around a rod to fill the gap. Inline fab make a centering indert for 223 and 308 for the super swage, it really helps Centering inserts for the Dillon SuperSwage. http://www.inlinefabrication.com/Dillon_Precision.htm You can make your own if you want. I get alot of free brass this way, if not i will swage the into 40 cal bullets. Coleman

I run 3 different batches of walnut hulls. 1st batch is use for range brass and cleaning case lube off and dirt. 2nd batch is for a pre polish of straight walnut hulls which helps polish it down faster. 3rd batch is for final finish walnut hulls with nufinish. When the 2nd and 3rd batch is getting dirty it becomes it becomes the 1st. It may seem like more work, but i know that my cases are very clean and dirt free. I run about 20 minutes on each batch. I have done about 3k of 9mm and 6k of 223 brass. Plus i buy 2-3 bags of walnut hulls at a time at the pet store and throw it away when it looks dirty. Coleman

I polish outside and inside of mine and it helps alot. to polish the inside get a wooden dowel rod that will fit inside the powder funnel loosly and take a thin bladed saw and cut a slot length wise about 1/2" down, cut a small strip of sandpaper that will fit in dowel rod and chuck it up in a hand drill and polish away. Make sure you dont get the powder funnel oversize where the case goes into it, it will leave a little lip for powder to catch on and spill on your shellplate.

With a dillon 650 with carbide dies and a dillon RT1200 case trimmer i can do 250 cases in under 9 minutes. 20 cases a minute with the dillon primer swager.

Run the brass in the tumbler without media and it will knock it loose from inside the case. After a few minutes the cases will stand upright, where you can grab a handfull, then grab the cases with the other hand so the case mouth is pointing down and hold on the inside of the tumbler wall and the vibration will help knock out any loose media. Dillon RT1200 for me, I was looking at both last year and went with the dillon for several reasons. 1. one less step in prepping rifle brass. 2. My hands cramp up after awhile and trying to spin brass in a Giruard it would take me forever. 3. Dont have to touch a greasy case on my 650. I bought a 20' vacumm hose from Mcmaster carr and put the vacumm in the other room. I can process over 1k of 223 an hour.

I read somewhere that WC844 can be used to reload 308, but i cant find it again. While it will be fine for 223, it would be nice to have a cheap powder for practice. it will be used on my gas guns and HK 91. I would like to hear some thoughts on this or web links. Thanks Coleman

Problem fixed!!! It was the burr left on the case from the RT1200. I made a case belling tool and opened up the top of case to a tight but loose fit in the powder funnel, to where i couldnt see the case mouth when looking down the powder funnel even moving the case side to siide. I did 50 rnds this morning and it was alot better with just a little bit of powder on the shell plate, I can live with that. Thanks for all the help! Coleman

I just bought 6k of pulled 62 gr. bullets and after resizing them i want to polish them up. I dont want to overload the CV-2001 Vibratory Case Cleaner. This is just bullets not reloaded ammo. How many or pounds of bullets can I safely polish up? Thanks Coleman

Thanks for the replies! I will mix all 3 together just so i dont have to work each load up again, I am sure it will take longer to work up the load then it will take to mix them. What is the best way to mix powder? Here is what i am thinking- 5 gallon plastic bucket, pour all 3 in at the same time. get a electric blender and mix em Just kidding!!!! Put the lid back on and roll bucket on side for about 5 minutes and pour back in jugs doing all this outside and a low humidity day. Unless thier are other ideas that will work? Thanks again Coleman

I got 3-8# jugs of WC 844 Pull down all the same HT#. Do I need to mix all 3 together so i will get a consistant burn or should i be good to go from one jug to jug? Anybody have a good starting point for 62 grain bullets? I know you have to start on the low side and work up just wanting a referance. Thanks Coleman

I got about 500rnds loaded last weekend, the dryer sheet helped alot and was not very bad, but i still had some powder dropping out of the funnel on the way down(extra lights make a big difference). just enough in 50rnds having to clean out the shell plate so the for the case to sit straight. D.Hayden, I trimmed all my brass with a dillon RT1200, so the inside of the case is sharp or a slight burr, maybee that is my problem, I will champher some cases by hand and try that if that works, I will figure out a way to slighlty bellmouth the case in station 1 with the lee universal decapping rod. I can make a new rod with a slight bellmouth and a decapping pin, I wont have a extra station when i get my Mrbulletfeeder. Thanks for all the info! Coleman

No its not the indexing doing it, I clipped the spring and added the bearing on top of shellplate. All cases had a primer in them. I will be reloading 223 at end of the week, I have added more light so i can see more of what is going on. I am sure it is more of a static charge build up. I will be adding a dryer sheet to the powder measure and wiping it down too and i will see what happens. Thanks for the comments. Coleman

I have a old ar15 lower that the trigger and hammer pin holes are getting wobbled out and would like to get a set of stainless bushings like what is on bill springfield web site http://triggerwork.net/arrepair.html Does anybody know where to get a set of the bushings? I looked at brownells but now luck unless i missed it, or some sort of repair bushings so i dont have to make a set of them myself. Thanks Coleman

I got the die to do 40S&W out of 9mm case, but dont have the time to try it yet.

I get the lube off in the tumbler till the cases are clean, I use my old walnut hulls in the tumbler. You might try to tumble them longer and see what happens, it usually takes 30-60 min for me.

Sarge, The brass i have been using was once fired, the person i got it from had lemishined it so it was nice and clean i changed out my walnut hulls w/ nufinish and ran the brass thru it to get a coat of wax on it. My case feeder probally needs to be cleaned i processed about 3k of 223 brass and 1 k of 308 brass. It is a little sticky and a good cleaning wont hurt. Thanks again! Coleman

Looking at the die under magnifcation i can see small scratches in the carbide that was causing the brass to accumulate on the carbide. It was a older dillon die that i bought used, I have been wanting a new set to help in cleaning and the spring loaded decapping pin. It is going to be a busy year reloading I just got my ar 9mm upper for 3 gun and it looks like it is going to be a blast of a time. Thanks Coleman
