A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel attached to his crotch. He orders a drink and the bartender says "sure but you know you've got a steering wheel on your crotch right?"
Pirate replies "argh! It's driving me nuts!"
I have a S. A. loaded model 1911. I have fouled up one of the grip bushings. Springfield calls it an escutcheon. I have a standard bushing and it is too small. Bushing is .236. I know that and oversize is .255. The hole mikes at .240. Springfield shipped me the bushing they claim they use on every 1911 that they build. It is .236 and doesn't fit. They tell me that I have stripped the threads in the frame and will need to tap it for an oversize bushing. The threads are fine. I have pulled another bushing off the same gun and threaded it in the other hole and it is perfect. I don't want to tap it for an oversize bushing when it isn't jacked up. Can somebody please tell me what and where to get what I am needing?
Been running 4.4 clays behind a 200 LSWC out of a 5" for quite a while. No over pressure signs. Gets 170pf out of one gun and 173 out of another. Can't recal my OAL, but it is on the longer end. And I can definitely see a double charge in the case.
It would only be a bump to open if you drew a mag from a position prohibited by SS division rules after the beep. At the start signal all equip has to be division compliant. Perfectly ok to have a Barney mag in any pocket.
