I've got the same issue but w/ Henning +6 on a 17rd SIG mag.

Initially had this issue because I somehow mistakenly believed that the +6 could be used w/ a 17 rounder with STOCK SPRINGS.  Definitely not the case.

So I finally got around to getting the 11-coil spring and follower from Grams and tried again.  Same thing.  I too had the dragging slide issue.

Now with what is supposed to be working fine I noticed the first time out that it was extremely hard to get that first round chambered from a mag loaded to 23 AND not only that, but the follower isn't locking the slide back on the last round!

Back to square 1, just much lighter in the wallet!

Does anyone have any tips to get this gear working right??

Good to know re: the Grams followers.  I was going to spend the money but now I won't.

This is a well documented issue with Sig X5 P320 Barrels using 147 gr bullets.  It is mentioned on many threads on this forum.  I have done rather extensive testing and 147 gr bullets would not group well until I sped the up considerably, which kinda of defeats the use of 147 Gr bullets.  You will also see a rather noticeable change in POI based on bullet velocity as well.  Something I did not care for.

I have found that velocity is key for Sig P320 barrels to group decent.  124/5 gr bullets in the 1100-1150 fps would give me tennis ball groups or smaller at 15 yds.  I have also found the shorter Slide/Barrel combos lead to better barrel lock up which gives you better accuracy.

I have heard rumors that Sig did some changes to the barrel mostly to do with Chamber support, and I have heard one claim they fixed the accuracy issues, but I have not personally seen either case.  For my P320 AXG Pro I never shot the stock barrel as I installed a Barstow immediately.

The Barstow barrel fixes all of it.  Very accurate, POI does not shift when switching to different ammo velocities.

My current setup of the P320 AXG Pro with the Barstow barrel, The Sig Armorer Trigger, and 14# recoil spring is by far the most accurate 320 I own.   I do not get any dot deflection when dry firing which without a magazine installed is also an issue with P320s.  I do have to wonder if that play in the slide/barrel assembly (dot movement when pulling the trigger) does lead to some of the accuracy issues.

Did the Barstow barrel require much fitting?

How true are the comments about the titanium cylinder being “sticky” to extract and sensitive to different loads?

I witnessed that in a match, but the 929 shooter was using factory Blazer steel cased ammo.  Now he knows better after creating a nice hole in his palm from the extractor rod.

Brass monkey bullets are amazing. If you catch them on sale (13-15% off pretty regularly) you can get them as cheap as brazos for much higher quality. I'd probably be loading blue bullets if money wasn't an issue, but they're significantly more expensive.

Every person I know who has shot brass monkey raves about them- of the 4 or 5 bullet manufacturers I've tried they are the best by a significant margin.

Another vote for Brass Monkey.  I switched from SNS to Brass Monkey and the grouping shrunk quite a bit.  I switched due to a lower price but the smaller groups is a bonus.

with and without, as you can see this is not a slight adjustment, its a significant cut.   the image looked more focused on the phone, but if you look at the factory cut, you can see how the lead in runs and how the final resting spot is not centered on the notch(before of after), but the wider/deeper notch makes it less abrupt.

Thanks for the picture.  Neither of my R8 cylinders lead-ins are centered.

This was done to my revolvers a long time ago by Mark Hartshorne with Pinnacle Custom and I have never had problems with the notches getting peened and that was the reason I had him do that on his recommendation.  One less thing to worry about.
Oh and the reason I had it done in the first place is I was at a match in Wisconsin and it happened and the rest of the match went downhill quick.

Can you post a picture of one of the notches that was modified?

I could write a book about this, but it would be way better to schedule a time to come to the shop where I can show you how it all works. Bring a new hand and stop. Yes, you can buy old guns and cheaply fix them on your own, armed with the knowledge of what to do. Plus, you can always call if you have a question.

How about doing a YouTube video the next time you fit one?

I have a 40 cal pcc I pieced together with QC10 components.  I used a Glock large frame lower and 10mm mags.  It runs flawlessly and the Lrbo works great with SGM mags not Glock OEM mags.  Works 100 percent with all bullet types including HP.

I want to build a 9mm with Colt style mags.  If I use QC10 components is it likely to be ultra reliable like my 40 build?  Or should I try a different magazine platform?

Just my two cents but I ran a Colt platform years ago and finally switched to a Glock platform.  I've used mag conversions and a dedicated Colt platform lower and none were as reliable for me as a Glock platform.  I would shoot 400 rounds through the Colt gun at a level 2 match one weekend with no problems, and have it puke at a 80 round level 1 match the following week with the same mags and same ammo.  My JP GMR15 runs with any ammo.
