They Sold these a couple years ago as well. I bought one. They were the darker x-five coloring, and came with a legion frame, and I think I paid 400.

Accuracy is good on mine. I have not observed the accuracy issues some reported, and get fist sized 25 yard groups with 147 grain coated bullets.

Maybe this is a cyclical thing ... a year ago I called Sig trying to buy an X5 slide and they weren't selling them.

I have the Magpul PCC drum and, knock on wood, I have not had a single issue with it after putting probably 1500 rounds through it so far. After running the 5.56 D60 for years without issues, I think Magpul has the drum magazine figured out pretty well. At least in my experience

What PCC are you using it on?

My opinion, is the oil may have seeped in a bit and contaminated the powder. When I was using one of those loaders I used one shot like others mentioned. I have since stopped using one of them and went back to using a depresser style.

This matches my experience getting duds after spraying oil into the loader.  I also stopped using it ... I found it to be more trouble than it's worth.

  4. Here's a technique that worked well for me with my XD.  I tried the usual options, Kroil, heat, freezing, hammer & punch,

bigger hammer & punch.  Nothing worked.  I tried my cheapo Harbor Freight air hammer with a tapered punch chisel and the sight came off in about 3 seconds.  Flew across the garage.

You THINK you're hitting the sight hard with a hammer & punch ... but it's nothing like the concentrated force of the air hammer.

If you still can't get a Springfield sight removed, this is the guy well known on the XD forums for inexpensive sight work:

  5. FYI - when I bought my Witness 40 cal upper, I had "fit" the slide to the frame as the slide was a bit oversized.

I just put the gun in a vice, and cycled the slide about 100 times going through various grades of lapping compounds.

Never had any problems after the initial fitting.

  6. The RPG2 CNC Bullet Adjustment is a solid piece of hardware.  I've had zero upside down bullets since I installed it.  I used to get 1 or 2 per hundred rounds and now I get zero.  Well worth the price. Set it and forget it ... no more dislodged shims.

So….. is it a cheaper delta elite? The serial number is del0197

    No.

    Here's more info:  https://ar15armory.com/forums/topic/44432-anyone-come-across-a-colt-delta-10mm-no-elite/

"These were a limited run of 10mm 1911's produced for Lew Horton"  "There were 500 in stainless and 500 in blued made about 1998-99 for Lew Horton. "

Also, your's was made in 1998 per the serial number lookup at this site:  https://www.colt.com/serial-lookup

  8. Remember, the Unit 1 "is designed for extreme accuracy" for Bullseye shooters as zzt mentioned with the short leade.

I have a Marvel style unit from Nelson Custom in AZ and it originally was cut with a short leade and it had extraction issues.  I sent it back to Nelson, they recut the chamber to accommodate the 1" long eley ammo and it has been 100% reliable.  Mine is mounted on a STI Trojan frame which is my Steel Challenge RFPO gun since Nelson also cut it for a red dot sight.

Before it was fixed, I couldn't extract a loaded round because the lead bullet nose was jammed into the (short) chamber.  You may want to try that test in addition to the other suggestions for problem resolution.
