  1. We just found out that our 3rd guy has to have emergency surgery tomorrow. If your buddy is still available, we'd love to have him with us. Email me: dns0405@yahoo.com I just noticed that FNFAN2 was banned from the forum after my post regarding his friend needing a slot on a team. If anyone knows him, could you forward my email address to him please? Thanks. Banned for what? Posting about his friend?
  2. I only run the ALS open top for 3gun and idpa. Never had an issue with any of my guns.
  3. One of the guys on my team is having a baby. His wife is due the week before Topton. Would he be interested as a sub? He'll most likely get to shoot at least at Topton
  4. I noticed the same thing with the charging handle. I don't see it as a problem. I think it is that most of us have a tendency not to pull the charging handle "straight" back. I have noticed many of my charging handles are worn more on the right side than the left. Most likely from only grabbing the latch side and pulling back, creating a little torque to the right. Pull a charging handle from one of your older rifles and take a look see at the wear marks. I believe it is more noticable in the CTR because of the tighter tolerances of the upper. Thoughts?
  5. Yea if you can find them anywhere! Bird hunting must have recently gone up in popularity
  6. I know some guys that go both ways.... And I'm one of them! I been hunting most of my life with a straight stock. Never really messed with a pistol grip til the military and LE. I currently shoot a Benelli M4 with pistol grip. I have no problem picking up an M2 w a straight stock and running it. Prefernce? For just 3-gun would prob be a straight stock
  7. I'm reluctant to agree but I must. I've used my M4 the entire last season. I always made the excuse that the ghost ring allowed me to blast the 100yd slug targets one for one that it made up time. I shot a friends Salient M2 and I had to have one. Not only is the M2 lighter, which translates to faster and smoother swing, but the vent rib is quite faster to pick up the targets. Again, I hate to admit it but it's true... Now, to address the original question, I didn't use any after market sights. I've heard of a fiber optic from sight but I never figured I needed it. And there are some minor issues with the stock M4 that I needed to remedy. PM me and I'll let you know what I did to make it nearly 100% reliable with any ammo.
  8. Can't quite imagine any better way to estimate a hold than a picture of your reticle with a bullseye showing you where to aim.....
  9. I'm not sure if they have one that fits the XDM 5.25, but if they do, get the Safariland ALS 6377. They have the best retention so your gun will NEVER come out unless you want it to. The get a QLS kit and attach it to the ELS belt. It is a perfect combo. And looking at it, it seems they do not make it for this model. However, you may be able to use the holster made for the 4.5" gun and a little will hang out the bottom. I used my holster made for my Glock17 with my G35 for awhile. It hung out the bottom but it worked fine
  10. If you have a smartphone, get the strelok app. Very nice app and it shows exaclty where to hold between the stadia
  11. I talked to Joe this morning. He made the intimidating task of designing a shirt very easy. And like you said, he was a pleasure to work with. I'm pretty sure TechWear will be getting my business.
  12. I've heard Sue is very easy to work with. I will cal tomorrow and see what happens. I highly doubt its like wearing a garbage bag. While one may be better than the other, I started here to grab different opinions. And honestly I'll go with the better customer service compared to price.
  13. I like the idea that they deliver about 3 weeks. And the website is a good bit easier to work than the TechWear.
  14. Looks quite easy to use. May end up going with them. But still looking for other options
  15. It's the start of the new season and I have the need to design a TechWear shirt. I've been reading the website FAQ's and Art Tutorial and I'm still behind the curve. What is Vector format and how do you convert JPEG or similar formats to it? Is there a preferred program to use when desiging the shirt? Anything hidden or not obvious I need to think about? Thanks for any info as I never did so well in art in college or grade school!
  16. I'm new to the M2 so your 24" with a +6 equals how many total in the tube? 9? Which bbl length do you prefer the 21 or the 24? If you only had the choice for one which would it be?
  17. I'm in the same position right now. I have a choice between the 21" and a 24" M2. I was thinking I would go with the 24" and a 9rnd tube. This will get me about flush right? I was thinking if I'm going with a 9rnd tube, it would stick out on the 21" bbl. If my tube is out there, why not have the barrel out that far right?
  18. Thanks Mark! I know you won't be slowing anyone down. But since you offer, I drink Miller Lite....
