  1. In my main 5.25 I'm using a canyon creek tungsten guide rod. In my back up gun is a tungsten insert from springer precision. Only reason they both don't have a canyon creek guide rod is Rich didn't have any available when I set up my back up gun
  2. Awesome, thank you sir! I will give them a try. I assume they are just as soft as the regular small pistol primers?
  3. Hello everyone, I recently bought a 929 to replace my 627 pro. I have tuned up the action, but I want to get the trigger pull a little lighter. It's as light as I can go with winchester primers. Since I can't find federal anywhere, what are your thoughts on using federal small pistol magnums, as I have a bunch of those? Im using N320 with a .358 160 grain coated bullet. Thanks for any advice, Tom
  4. I have a 1911 that I'm going to do some work on, but it has black nitride finish on it. What is the best way to remove this finish? I tried calling H&M Metal processing to ask them but I could never get an answer? Anyone got any recommendations? Thanks, Tom
  5. Don I will be getting a hold of you once my grips come in to see if you can match up the color
  6. Thank you for the replies. I have a spare trigger insert I might try the dykem pen on while I search for someone that does anodizing. Thanks again!
  7. That's what I was thinking. Do you have anyone in mind? I know there is a good chance that no one will want to mess with such a small part
  8. This may be a wierd question, but what would be the best option to change the color of my SVI trigger pad. Anodized? Cerakote? I would like it to be green to somewhat match my grips. Any suggestions are appreciated. I know it's a small part and may not be worth someone's time or money, but figured I'd find what options were out there. Thanks, Tom
  9. Thank you for the info. I will check into what twist rate they have.
  10. If your still having issues with the mags, try contacting Wilson Combat. From what I have heard they have great customer service.
  11. Both of mine shoot very good as well. More than good enough for uspsa, but im thinking about trying my hand at Bianchi Cup style shooting and from what i understand you want all the accuracy you can get.
  12. Just wondering if anyone has tried a KKM barrel in a xdm 5.25 9mm yet and if so, how do you like it? Thanks, Tom
  13. I'm signed up for Friday. Shooting single stack as of now but if there is a decent number of wheels I'd switch to revo.
  14. Thanks for the offer, but not interested in a single sided safety. However, if you had the ambi safeties from a stock 2 i'm sure we could make a deal.
  15. With the ambi safeties that came on both my limited pros, the gun will not fit in the USPSA production box. I have been running just the left side safety, but want to put the ambi back on. Would it be USPSA production legal to file down the safety so it would fit in the box? I measured it with my calipers and it is only off by an 1/8". Thanks for any help, Tom
  16. I had both guns, and recently sold the Stock II to buy another lim pro for a back up gun. I like the longer sight radius on the lim pro and for me it transitions better. I ran Stock II safeties on mine for a little while. I liked them but occasionally my index finger would flip the ambi side on safe. I switched back to just a strong side safety. The ambi safeties that came on both my lim pros would not allow the lid to close on the uspsa box.
  17. Thank you everyone for the info. I will contact these guys next week.
  18. Hello, I'm looking for someone to flat top and serrate a 1911 slide for me, as well as do some ball cuts. It is a stainless slide. Anyone have any recommendations or anyone here willing to do the work? Thanks, Tom
  19. Yes Rich has done all of them for me.
  20. It is the Canyon Creek magwell that Rich makes in house.
  21. ^^^ what he said. If you are gonna use Montana Gold bullets, I'd recommend trying the 142 gr. fmj. They drop into the cylinder nicely which makes for a faster reload. If you want to try some coated lead bullets, I'd go with the SNS Casting 160 gr. RN. They also drop in easily.
