  1. Thank you everyone for your help. I will take a look at that when i get off work today. Thank you, Tom
  2. I took my 610 out yesterday to test fire some loads and had some problems. Using moon clips, with the 10mm round i had to go through the whole cylinder twice before the rounds would fire, meaning the firing pin struck the primers twice before they would fire. Put the same reloads in my Glock 20 and all rounds fired no problem. Again using moon clips, with the 40s&w round i went through the whole cylinder three times and only got one round to fire. I put the rounds that didn't fire in the 610 in my Glock 35 and all rounds fired with no problem. The 610 will dent the primers, but they wont fire. I did not have any factory ammo to try at the time. The primers I used were winchester and cci. Just wondering if any one else had this problem or has some insight on what could be wrong. Going to call Smith today after work and see what they say. The gun is completely stock btw. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks, Tom
  3. Not sure if there are any ICORE events around my area. Never really looked into. Any good places on the net to get info on it?
  4. Looking for a good load for USPSA Revolver Division for my S&W 610. It has a four inch bbl. Going to try my hand at wheel gunning this year and just looking for a good load and any loading tips someone is willing to give me. Thank you, Tom
  5. Thank you everyone for all of the replies. Going to call Rich at Canyon Creek tomorrow morning.
  6. Lenny Magill at the Glock Store. You can buy brand new Glocks from them and they can customize them to your liking. Never had any work done buy them but have heard good things. glockstore.com
  7. He is one that I have been thinking about. He is only 2 hours away from me so i was thinking it would be a nice drive down there. Anyone else have any experience with Canyon Creek?
  8. Hello everyone, I have a Colt Combat Elite that I have been shooting in Single Stack this year. Im looking to have the front strap checkered and possibly the trigger guard squared. Im looking for suggestions on a good pistol smith to do this work. I live in northern IL so someone close would be nice, but I am willing to ship. Anyone have any experience with a good smith? Appreciate any and all input. Also the gun has Novak sights on it now. Looking at upgrading at least the front sight to a fiber optic, but not sure what height to get since the rear is not adjustable. Thanks, Tom
  9. thank you everyone for your advice. on the 1911 i have already installed a wilson combat beavertail, and a cylinder and slide shop: trigger, hammer, disconector and sear. i really like the dawson fiber optic front and adj. rear that i have on my glock, so i think i will be putting a similar setup on the 1911. any recommendations on magwells and where to purchase both. the rear sight is novak cut and front is dovetail cut on the slide. I think i will shoot SS and give it a try, due to i dont want to spend the money right away on a cr speed holster. Thanks again
  10. Hello everyone, I am planning on shooting in my first competition this year. I am on the fence between shooting limited or single stack. I have a glock 35 for limited, and a new Remington 1911 for single stack. I shoot both guns about the same. The main thing i dont like about the remington are the sights, they are too tall. Any suggestions on different sights? Or any other mods? I will read the rules again on single stack, but what would be a good holster? Thank you in advance.
  11. hello everyone, A couple months ago i purchased a glock 35. The only thing i have done to it so far is added a mag well. I want to start shooting USPSA matches with it. What are some good suggestions to reduce muzzle flip and maybe lighten the trigger a little bit. Also what is a good competition holster? I am planning on shooting in the limited division. Thank you in advance for any advice. Im very excited to give competitive pistol shooting a try. Tom
