  1. Welcome from Weatherford TX
  2. CRAP!! I now worry more about setting off a round!!...lol...I should have never asked the question...Just Kidding. I want to be safe. The thought of an uncontrolled round going off REALLY makes me uncomfortable. Don't tell my wife.
  3. I was hoping someone would post The Man from Snowy River!! That was one of my favorites. My second favorite was The Cowboys with the DUKE. That's a great movie about making men from boys. Having 2 sons, I'm partial to that one. I spent a couple months in bed a while back and survived because of the Lonesome Dove series.
  4. It was such a predictable thing. HEY! I have a great idea!!! Let's give a ton of money and fame to a homeless drug addict that is trying to get sober!!! Even IF he really was trying, there was no chance he could make it through that...
  5. Glad you're getting your life back together. I had a trauma (not as bad as yours) 2 years ago Feb 5th. I was kicked in the face by a horse. I was lucky to live but had 8 fractures. It took 4 plates and 60 screws to make me beautiful again...haha. It took me a year to get over it. It also changes the way you think. One second can change your life. You got a second chance...Make it count. Best Wishes Jeff
  6. George, where you hurt? What kind of damage did it do?
  7. The next video in the series By Corp Eusebio was impressive also. The sectioning of the target is def military training. Some of that isn't teachable. Some of that is genetic. It's hard to teach speed.
  8. I've been reading the passage below from ultimate reloader. I'm a safety nut, but had to wonder how often this happens and how bad is it? Wear eye protection while loading A simple rule to follow is to always use eye protection while loading in case you have a primer explosion. I personally use prescription wrap-around safety glasses as they are not much different than wearing my “normal” glasses.
  9. I've read everything on here about which press to get. EVERYTHING I can find on the web also. I used to reload with my dad when I was a young man and already had the "basics". I read all the stuff BE has out and decided to buy a 550b. I was going to go with the NR Top Notch 550b. (the NR because I don't have any items to use) Then as I've lurked around the forum, watched a million videos and read the Dillon manuals, I decided to go straight to the 650. I just watched the videos about changing calibers on ultimatereloader. Now I'm completely intimidated by the caliber change on the 650. YIKES!!! And I want to do 4 calibers: 9mm (most), 45acp (2nd most), 357 (3rd most) and maybe some 5.56... I'm open to comments.......

    Being Broke

I've always been successful in my career and while I've never been rich, I've always been comfortable. I was laid off for 9 months in 2010 and it sucks stinks. I can't seem to get my head above water. I AM very thankful that I have a job and a roof over my head. j

    Hillary

You could see her fall 50 times and never see a "LADY" fall!!!
  15. Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm a former RN and never even gave the lead poisoning idea much creedance. Thanks for the link Bart. It was interesting reading. Another fear I have is the "dirty" appearance in the room. I'm REALLY scared of my wife...lol... Does anyone have any experience with setting up a portable building for a reloading room? How bad is the Texas summer heat on reloading equipment/supplies? Would I spend a fortune on a portable air-conditioner? How do you heat it without blowing yourself up? Boy I wish we had basements in Texas!!! Thanks j
  16. Hello all from Texas. I am researching reloading and have read everything I can find on the internet. I have decided on the RL550B and will be reloading 9mm and 45 ACP. My delimma is that I have limited places to set up a reloader. My choices are the Tack Room in the barn or a spare bedroom upstairs. Tack Room Pros Well ventilated and not in the house. Cons Not climate controlled and very dusty/dirty Upstairs Bedroom Pros Climate controlled Plenty of room Convenient Cons lose bedroom no exhaust venting carpeted and will get dirty Help me out with your opinions. Thanks j
