  1. I've looked through my books and can't find any information for making blanks. I need to learn more for Cowboy Mounted Shooting competition. This isn't the same as Cowboy Action Shooting. You use the 45 long Colt but you are shooting blanks at balloons. Any info would be appreciated. j
  2. Is there an aftermarket retrofit to increase this? I see other retrofit all over the place, like sending spent primers down a tube or adding lights and bullet feeders. Just wondering bcause it looks like primers would be the bottle neck slowing you down with this machine. Adding primers every 5 minutes.
  3. I was wondering if the Super 1050 has the same 100 primer capacity as the 650. Thanks Jeff
  4. I remember a thread a couple of years ago that rated used brass by brand. I've done several searches and can't find it. Any oldtimers remember the thread? Thanks
  5. I don't compete yet so it's me and my 2 sons just making holes in paper targets. I'm running through about 5000 per year in 3 calibers. r
  6. If I set up a tool head with just this die, can I run it as a fast de-priming machine? And use it with the case feeded?
  7. Can you use the Lee Universal Depriming and Decapping Die in a Dillon 650 to remove a lot of primers quickly? Does this remove the crimp? I was reading a different forum and it gave me the impression that it did, but never came out and said it. Thanks Ryder
  8. Looks like I'm gonna buy new, but I'm gonna have to wait a little longer....
  9. I could afford an airplane a few yrs ago. Then we adopted 2 children....Amazing how that changes everything...But it's worth it.
  10. I saw that one also. I think yours might be more comfortable, but I wanted the storage. More comfortable because your legs can go under the table while standing or sitting. How did you anchor? Chills1994 sent me the attached pics. This might be a way for me to anchor. j
  11. I've been waiting a really long time for a 650xl. My biggest obstacle was a man cave to use it in. With my oldest moving out now (I'm proud he's transferring from JUCO to a 4 yr univ), I am going to use his room. He can use the guest room when he visits. I saw this a long time ago @ sam's club and really like it. Check it out and let me know what you think. It's nice and heavy, but I'm worried if the wheels will move too much even if locked. I really like the storage and how nice it looks. The looks help with the wife letting me use the room. There are other pieces that match it I can add later when I get my building built. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod1480010&navAction= Thanks Ryder.
  12. PistolPete posted a request on December 30 wondering about what a used 650 cost. I was discussing it with the wife and after a little while I got permission to buy my 650 if I can get a good deal used... Yes I'm a little p-whipped, but she has never REALLY got over when I came home a few years ago with a new airplane (not an RC) without discussing it with her....Beside I married WAY better than I deserve...lol Anywho, if anyone wants to sell a setup that is a really good deal let me know.... j
  13. (I spent 10 mins searching the forums so I apologize if this has been discussed before.) I teach Texas Concealed Carry and some Intro to Handgun courses. I have/live-on a ranch in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I'm putting in a small outdoor pistol range so I can stop spending $600/month at the local range. For the sake of argument let's just say it's a properly constructed range. Otherwise we could discuss it all day. I'm looking for advice on the insurance. I'm looking for carrier names that specialize in this type of thing. Also any ideas about the annual cost would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch. Ryder
  14. My dad has really gotten into antique colts recently. He's picked up some 1905's and 1907's pistols. He asked me about reloading them but they aren't in my Speer or Lyman book. Does anyone have any older books laying around that can give me a recipe or direct me to a source? We have a few hundred 38 auto cases, but I have been told that after those are gone, I can use 38 super cases. Any help is much appreciated. Ryder
  15. Dang nabit Grumpy...lol...I searched it and didn't find it...I guess I can't find anything original.

  17. I just left the life 2 years ago. I rode with a red and gold Texas club for 5 years. I think the show is pretty close to how it is now. But as you said there is definately a lot of Hollywood in it. Funny thing is, I know all those people....Not the actors, but each role. I know the moma bear, the clueless over-educated wife trying to exist on two different planes..The hardcore bikers that really don't have a goal, just bounce from one fire to another.... I find it interesting...Art imitating life again...
  18. I think she's almost perfect. She at least like to shoot! Before anyone starts...I'm just kidding...lol
