  1. I was thinking about that but why does it work so well in my G17 Other posts have mentioned that its just that one gun my G17 runs amazing so why is the other not running the same
  2. I have used the ghost rocket kit on my G17 and G34 without any issue. Both guns were set up with a 14lb recoil spring, ghost rocket connector, light safety spring, increased trigger spring and polishing all surfaces with .25 cent method. I used stock striker spring until last week, I switched both guns out for a 4.5 lb striker and result is... The trigger in my G34 will not go all of the way foreward and reset the safety on the trigger. It resets initially between firing shots, but when I press trigger to prep and then let off the trigger will not reset foreward enough for the trigger safety to reset. Is this normal with light striker spring? My G17 has no problem. How about just trimming some of the tab so that the safety will reset. Is that the normal fix. If I didn't have the G17 working normally I would probably have just trimmed the tab. It ever just so bareley doesent clear the tab placing the trigger safety into its normal safe position. I have not done anything to limit pretravel so Im lost! place stock striker spring back in and the reset and pretravel are very positive and safety is perfect. But the 4.5 striker should not effect this to the point that safety is not proper is there a chance that something is out of specs that i am not recognizing?
  3. Great match!! My squad and I got throu all 7 stages by 4:45 pm. We began our day at 8:15 am on stage 5 and it worked to our advantage as it seemed to be a bottle neck. All of the R.O's were helpful and the stages were very challenging. A big thank you to everyone at the 5 dogs range for a great time. It was my first trip to the 5 dogs range and I was impressed with the people and the stages. Good work and thank you again.
  4. Ive got an SJC open glock and need to disasemble it for a good cleaning. I have been reluctant to disassemble the slide as the backplate has 3 allen screws that are specific to the SJC open treatment. I believe that the top right screw is got tension on the extractor but what are the other two allen screws for? Any tips on maintaining the slide assembly would be appreciated. How easy is it to remove the comp and should this be done for a good deep cleaning? Thank you
  5. Sweet! I was going to do some live fire loading drills but it is raining today. I will try that right now. thanks for that video An update for my load 2 belt: I am down to a 5 second par for every load clean with gun on shoulder. this looks much faster
  6. Is there anything at the FNHUSA booth resembling a vent rib SLP or is there an X3 24" VR at the winchester table? Is the only way at have this setup either cutting an X3 down or purchasing an overpriced 24" VR barrel? Complete gun would be so nice.
  7. Where is registration/application located online? I have seen some recent traffic on this post about the match but have not seen if registration is available. Thank you
  8. Aheadofthecurve, thanks for pointing me to the Piru 3Gun match. 3rd sunday of the month. I will try and make December's match. Looks like a lot of fun! DaG, Thank you for posting you're times for the fire 1, load 8, fire 1 drill. youre times are exctly where I would like to be.

  11. Tonight I set the par at 5.5 seconds for 8 shells and nailed it second run on video. My goal it to hit 4.5 seconds in 60 days. I will be posting videos and my experience as I progress. thank you Join me in this challenge youtube IMG_1931.MOV
  12. The retention spring can loose tension. I've seen it happen one of two ways. First is the grip panel has loosened up tighten it. the grip actually holds a peice of bent metal that looks like a "T" with a bend in it. This "T" is actually the spring. the second thing is that this spring looses tension. All that you have to do is remove the grip panel and you will see the part that Ive been talking about. Add more bend to it and replace the grip panel. This should work the buck mark is simple to work on.
  13. Do you modify the trigger bar for use with trigger housing if so where do you trim, shave, or bevel?
  14. Gun is for 3-gun with federal primers. I believe that it would be good for IDPA ESP, limited, and limited 10. Would it be legal for production if I don't alter trigger bar? good question... anyone know? I just want it for 3-gun. How well does this housing work?
  15. Unfortunately this is what I was thinking? I was hoping that someone would reply with pictures of the one they just got a great deal on at there local gun shop with 3-4 in the back... lol these guns are going to sell really well in our niche shooting community if they ever get theme out.
  16. I like the ghost rocket that I tried on a friends gun but I would like less pre-travel on my G34. Any experience with this vanek trigger housing? How much pre-travel can you remove with this part before altering the trigger bar? I was thinking of polishing all stock parts on G34 changing the springs; 6lb trigger, 4 or 4.5 lb striker, standard ghost connector, and Vanek housing with pretravel/overtravel. Is the standard ghost connector a good choice in this application? Thanks
  17. You're Camper needs a mount so that you can mount an optic. A mount itself is going to take up most of you're budget. I believe that weigland may make a buckmark mount that uses a picatinny rail. Downside with this style of mount is that the optic is going to be very tall over the barrel making it more difficult for close up shots. Borrow a friends gun for a match and if you like the setup save up for an allchin mount and a c-more. you will not regret it. on a budget for the rifle get a cheap walmart dot. 45.00 works good enough.
  18. Any new info or photos on either of these models. I would like to get one for Dad, great X-mas gift.

    Occupy!

We need a network of camps!!! We could never work again!!! I'm going to post a camp at a gas station.
  20. I love my Otto 2 X shell carrier and anyone who is on the fence about going to the load 2 method should jump on the load 2 band wagon. This product is great and has made my shotgun stages a blast!!! Really marks product is built to last and is really comfortable. doesnt get in the way of movement or shooting. I am only using weakhand loads for stages where there may not be any reloads..9 rds or less.
  21. Thanks for the info in this post. After shooting a 20 rd shotgun stage no problems, I put the gun away.(Had been 500 or so since last good cleaning) Next day shotgun stage 6 shots felt good then nothing, click, rack, click, rack.... Noticed bolt not going into battery. Between stages cleaned action only, not piston rings. Same problem. Took it apart tonight and wow there is a lot of cleaning in the piston ring that my quickie cleaning had missed. Should have gotten better instruction on piston cleaning from mossberg. Thank you Benny and other members for this info. about 2,000 rds through gun love it!
  22. ++ 1 buckmark Mine shoots cheap walmart bulk 36 grain hpfmj all day. more than accurate for steel. I've got one of each and the buckmark with c-more and allchin mount is the way to go.
  23. Ive had my Mark Otto 2x shell holder for a little more than a week and this thing is fast in all of my drills reloads are about 6 sec give or take 2 tenths, live fire. This is only going to get faster! I am a little guy and thought that I would need a set of shoulder straps because ive got a flat stomach. Ive had no problems up to this point. Love the harness. thank you MARK.
  24. Bobro system is hands down my favorite but pay attention to clearance if purchasing for TAC30 and MGM switchview. In my experience there is not enough clearance between the mount and the switchview ring that goes around the scope body if purchasing the extra extended mount. The standard and extended work great. Just want to share my mistake had to send back the extra extended one the first time around. There are three versions of the bobro mount
  25. Last month I finished a three gun build. I ended up purchasing two Bobro mounts for it. A 1 inch extra extended mount and a 30mm extended mount. I have attached the 30mm to my TAC30 and the 1 inch to a Simmons 6-20x50 for load development and small pest control. I have been very impressed by how easily you can switch the gun from scope to scope so easily and holding zero. I have essentially two seperate rifles thanks to the simplicity and repeatability of the bobro mounts.
