  1. I tried theese: .38 special - Federal primer - Starline brass - In custom revolver (n°3 Hybrid holes) = 125 grs. sjsp x 5.50 grs. N320 , the hybrids was workink very well, and make nice groups - Standard revolver (627 5" barrel) = 125 grs. sjsp x 5.00 grs. N320, very smooth and very accurate. Now i wish to have the same results of theese loads, .... in .357 mag brass ..... What do you think about ? how many grains of N320 ? or i have to use a slowest powder ? (N340).
  2. Hi all, I want to mount a Slab Comp by Wichita Arms, in my S&W 686 - 6" barrel, to upgrade this revolver for Bianchi Cup. After this, cut away the front sight and make 2 or 3 ibryd holes, B-Square mount, trigger job, bob the hammer and a new grip. Have some of you used the Slab Comp Wichita Arms ? ..... some information to mount ? it is a simple action or ...... Thank you for any info P.S. If some of you have photo about revolver tuned for Bianchi Cup ..... i will Thank you for ever ! My personal e-mail : ilsensei@libero.it
  3. I use the same equipment said by Bubber, California Comp moon holders. Not expensive, good retenction and very easy to find in any shooting store, (i've buyed mine from Dillon Precision On-line store). Now i tried the Twin full moonclip Holders by Blade-Tech, (Not legal for Idpa, .... but i use for Ipsc Shooting ....), buyed from TKcustom, i like very much this kind of clip-holder because with 3 holders, you can put 6 moonclips in a very little space, ..... a little bit expensive ...
  4. It is alwais great .... to see revolver shooters in action !
  5. ........... Because to shoot WELL with a revolver it is NOT for everyone .... you have to feel the "revo-feeling" ...... The wheelgunner it is a very strange shooter, ...... for example: last time in our Shooting Range, a member of my Club was shooting plates with a Glock17 ..... no bad .... but .... .... when i made a couple of strings with my 627-8 times , the only thing he said was: ".... it's impossible .... that you can do this with a revolver, shooting in double-action (???) ...... " .... we love revolver shooting, for this little things ... too.
  6. I Spook, you said right, i use the N310. It is a good choice for me, expecially with 230 grs. bullet. My load data is: N310 x 4,60 grs. 228 grs. plated bullet (no fmj) Federal primer Large pistol 150 Hoal = 31,50 mm. Power factor about 177-178. Note: I have started with a different charge of N310, but with an Official RO chrono, i had a bad surprise (it was 4,40 grs. of N310). Another thing is: with this kind of plated bullet i have to increase the powder, that i usually put with an FMJ bullet. You can try a "gap" from 4,40 to 4,70 of N310, (i did it, at first) without ANY over pressure sign on my brass. I like a fast powder, in the .45, because i feel the barrel don't jump like a slowest powder, it is very clean and accurate. The biggest difference are when you shoot double taps, the revo "find the time" of the doubles, faster than using a slow powder, for a fast shooter (... like the European Champ ....), i think it is a very important advantage, ..... your finger will wait a minor time of trigger pull. Let me know if it works good for you.

  9. The Freeride beast it is a real jewel : - Santacruz Heckler frame (with rear 5th element suspension .... $$$$$$) - front fork Marzocchi Z1 Freeride 150 mm. ($$$) - Wheels Mavic "Dee-Max" ............. ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$) - complete Shimano XT ($$$$) - pedals Mallet C ($$$$) - seat post, and front equipment by Race-Face ($$$$$$$) - Disk brakes by Hope 203 front - 180 rear ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) - tires by Michelin Dh16 front 2.50 - rear 2.20 ($$$$) .......... I love this Down-hill machine, not extreme like a competiton/bike, but a real freeride horse !!!

  11. Oh YES !!!!!! ......... 3 rules for the Real Wheelgunner
  12. I just had a 686 - 4" barrel .357 mag for IDPA, ..... but 4" 625 it another world !!!
  13. ..... I don't think it is legal .... For IDPA, you need a 4" barrel revo. I have just take one last week ...... (the "little" brother of the others two 5" 625)
  14. Shred, the .45 GAP made some troubles with moonclips, or yours works fine ? I would like to try some Starline .45 GAP ....... in my 625, which brand are yours?
  15. In Revolver Division, S&W 625 - 5" barrel N310 x 4.40 grs. x fmj 230 grs. Hoal. = 31,50 mm. primer = Federal large pistol Brass cases = Starline .... .... it is a little bit .... "strong ..." (PF = 177 - 178) but it's very clean, accurate, .... every pepper go down! .... and i can shoot relaxed (i am NOT worried about Chrono Stage)
  16. I have tried the "Phil Rosato creature" ......
  17. .... It is a DREAM for me, .... a rifle like this .... Good job !!!
  18. Spook, ............. We are waiting for the photo of the ceremony awards ...... with you and the Gold Medal ...... ..... don't be shine !!! .....
