  1. Anyone had a p220 Hunter 10 mm milled for a dot?? Just wondering if it can be done.
  2. Matt I’m registered for the 10k. I’ll be down there anyway Saturday. Can I get on the wait list for the 5k? If so what do I need to do. Thanks.
  3. leupold makes a BUIS for DPP. I tried one didn’t like it. Takes a awful high front sight and rear sight was too narrow for me personally.
  4. You didn’t get DQ d and had fun. I consider that a success
  5. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I have the palm swells. Love them
  6. I carry a CATS and quick clot in my range bag. Which is always near by. When I do run and gun I carry a CATS on my chest rig. I tried all the tourniquets in my dark angel training. I found it the easiest to use.
  7. Thanks radny I do have some n320 to try as well.
  8. Decided to dive into the revolver pool and picked up a good deal on a used 686 cut for moonclips. I need to find a load for it. I decided to go with the 38 short colt. Seems like a lot of people like the easier reload of the short case. I've ordered some SC brass from Starline, but haven't decided on bullets. Was thinking of going with Bayou 135gr round nose bullets to approximate the same load that is used in my 9mm production gun. I'll be using Titegroup powder because that;s what I have on hand. Finally from what I've been able to read it looks like I'll need a 9mm seating and crimp die since the 38s dies are too long. I was going to try my 38 dies first. Any thoughts, things to be aware of or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. I have a SP-01 that I got in a trade, added all the CGW parts and learned a ton. It's a satisfying experience to be able to repair your own pistol. I ended up getting an AccuShadow later (darn CZ bug) which was worked over by the CZ Custom Shop. I will say the trigger from the custom shop Accu was better than what I was able to get on the SP-01 I worked on personally, but they are both good. Kneelingatlas's tutorial is a great reference. I would say order the parts and dive in.
  10. + 1 on Voodoo Tactical. I’ve had mine a number of years
  11. I put a .370 Dawson on my SP-01 and it bairly made it. I used it for a run and gun and just recently took the BUIS off. Somehow the front sight got messed up (not sure if i hit it took too much off when i installed) and now wiggles in the dovetail. I’d me more than happy to send it you. You could see how it works and as a test. If your interested just pm me your address and I’ll mail it out. And you you are correct that rear sight is narrow.
  12. Those are the three I carry as well trigger return spring, recoil spring and slide stop. Of course I have a SP-01 as a back up as well.
  13. Thanks Bowen. Tomorrow is load day for the sample
  14. Twister, thanks. That's along the lines I was thinking. Probably load 20 or so and see how it goes
  15. I am out of 357 mag and need to load some. Haven't loaded those for years. Of course I don't have any magnum small pistol primers. I am loading coated bullets 158gr with Titegroup. I know not the best powder for that use, but they are just target loads anyway for my Henry and 686. Hodgdon calls for 4.5 - 5.0 grain. That's well less than the jacketed load. My question is can I just use small pistol primers since these are light loads? Alternatively, I do have small rifle as well. I am just not sure what makes a magnum primer different. Any insights would be appreciated. Of course I can get small pistol magnum if necessary. Thanks
  16. Timido I think you nailed it. Got the slide back. Didn’t look like anything was changed except the mounting screws. 300 rounds later and Optic is still secure.
  17. Thanks for the advice. This forum is great for getting help. How I’d I survive without Enos and YouTube??
  18. Did that, got a couple of new ones. Didn’t seem to help.
  19. Timido, I did use the DPP screws. I didn't realize they were different thread sizes. Actually it's back at CZ now. They'll get it fixed up. Outerlimits I checked and it didn't look like the screws would bottom put. I saw that mentioned on another thread.
  20. Ok quick update. Bowen was kind enough to ream the chamber for me. Not that it was a huge number of rounds, but I fired 50 with not a single jam and the bullet profile I was having all the problem with. I need to do some accuracy testing, but I love the idea of being able to load a little longer. Don't know why I didn't do this a long time ago!
  21. Quick up date, great service from the CZ Custom shop. Shot them a quick note with the picture as well. They are going to check it out. I'll let you know what I find out.
  22. It’s a CZ custom shop multi cut. So yes it will accept a few different optics. Glad I went that route, went from a FF3 to DPP
  23. Thanks open. I’ll try that tonight when I pull the optic to check on my the gap w out pins. I attached a photo. The flare from the light makes it look worse in the photo.
