  1. Jon, do you have a website up? Where are those ranges in Indiana? Central I hope?
  2. Thanks actually I was thinking I would use it for 3 gun hence the 9mm. But now that I am thinking about it I would probably be better off with a 40 just in case I want to start shooting USPSA. I am set up to to reload both 9 and 40 so that isn't an issue. Just found I wasn't shooting SS to often so I thought about hijacking the slide and barrel. I think your right I would probably be better off selling to Colt and using the proceeds to purchase a 40 Eagle. Thanks
  3. I was thinking of getting the 5.11 Rush 24. But was wondering if it was large enough or of I should get the Rush 72
  4. I currently have a single stack 9mm Colt with a nice Nowlin Unramped barrel and Bomar sights, Could I use the slide and barrel and have it fitted to an STI 2011 frame? Would this be a decent way to go and save a little cash, or just suck it up and order a complete STI from Dawson? If building is a decent option any recommendations on who might be a good idea to send it to for the work? Just trying to figure out the most cost effective way to go. I noticed Dawson's is having a special on their Super Tuned Eagles.
  5. Jesse thanks for the advice. Another forum member was able to help me out .
  6. Can't answer the question. But I have had real good luck with my conversion barrel in my G35. Never a hiccup. You will want to use 9mm mags
  7. Not to high jack anyones thread, but after shooting the FNH match last week I realized that my carbine is not going to cut it. I was thinking of purchasing a Stag 3G and either a Burris MTAC or XTR. From reading the few threads on the Stag it sounds like I wouldn't have to do anything to it. In addition it might be while and maybe never that I could outshoot the gun. Does this make sense to you more seasoned shooters? Is it worth it to spend the extra money for the XTR or could I get by just as well with the MTAC. Finally scope mounts you might recommend? I did look at the DPMS as well, but I like the features of the Stag better. Thanks
  8. Thanks Marks was the one I saw and couldn't find on the web. I found his contact info and sent him an e-mail about ordering one.
  9. I have been watching some you Tube Videos on the load 2 system. It looks very handy. However I can only find one manufacturer, Carbon Arms. There must be some others. I've seen photos, but couldn't find anything on the web via google search. Can anyone recommend some other alternatives I might want to look at? Thanks
  10. I concur. Range and ROs are great. Only thing not so good is my shooting. And the 338 Barrett, Awsome
  11. I have the same problem though I am a few years older. I use a 1x4 Leupold and really like it. You can go 1x for the close shots and dial it it to 4 on the longer ones.
  12. Blue Jacket

    G34 sights

I use heinie and it's a .215. I think warrens are the same. If your buying from Dawson just call them
  13. I was able to get hooked up on a 250 yd range so I should be good to go, well at least for being sighted in that is. My shooting could always go south
  14. I agree with the others and if you want a value barrel to shoot 9mm, Try a lone wolf. I've had good luck with mine.
  15. Thanks Guys, that's what I was expecting. I am going for the heavy.
  16. I actually use a Hienee rear and Warren FO front. I have been happy with it. Though I have the Dawson FO on another gun and like it is well
  17. One last quick question. I am better going with the standard or heavy? Thanks
  18. Thanks for all the help. I am going out to the range to make sure it's dialed in at least at a 100. The information you all provided gives me somewhere to start to holdover. I am shooting the FNH Match in November. At our local matches the range is only 100 yards. Hopefully I won't embarrass myself too bad. I guess everyone has to start somewhere.
  19. I can assure you my relaods are not a science. Yes shooting limited and three gun. Sounds like a Dawson order will be in the works. Thanks
  20. What do you do when you got a 100 yard range, but will be shooting an upcoming match with 300 year targets? I was wondering what the ballistics on XM193 is out to 200 and 300 yards? Also how should I sight it in? On at 100 or high by x inches?
  21. Been shooting three gun for a couple of years. Looking to make some mods to my Glock 35. Since I have owned (its been about 5 years now) it I have put a KKM barrel on it (I shoot lead reloads), heine rear and warren FO front and a vanek trigger. I was thinking of adding a dawson magwell, but was wondering how much it really helps. Coming from single stack land its already got a large opening. Just wondering what others experiences have been. Or should I look at another brand. Thanks
  22. I don't care if it's Bays or terrain. I am just looking forward to shooting the match. This is my first large match and with all the toys including a Barret and P90, how can it be bad?
