I went with Briley for all my parts/work. Added their longest tube to hold 10/11+1, their bolt handle, had them cut the barrel to 24" and thread for their thin walls, and install their oversize bolt release. They also "neatly" opened the loading port. And Jeff at Crums did my lifter. Its turned out pretty dang well.

I had some issues with my JM when I first received it, but I did buy mine gently used from someone on this forum. I know that most everyone just wants their gun, that they paid good money for, to work, but sometimes what we ask of our gear is more than the factory planned.
All that said, I sent mine to Benny's team at Triangle and havent had a single hiccup out of it since (knocking on wood). Not sure they are still working on 930's, but if they are, they can probably get you squared away.

My .02...
I never thought the Wilsons would over-insert either, but after one particularly swift, slightly flustered stage I found that had vigorously inserted 2 diff mags during the stage and broke the tabs off. Wilson was awesome enough to replace 'em for me, but if you get "excited" enough, you can over-insert them.

+1. YM slc with JP lite buffer has been great. Same bolt/carrier has been great with stock buffer minus 4 of the weights.

I think Steve is right. Plated bullet from berrys.

Smith put out "polished" and matte finished mags for the m&p .40. I have some of each, and both versions drop free just fine from my pistol.

Big of them to be upfront with what's going on!

Could have something to do with adjustment of die, but also the fact that you dont have the expander installed to stretch the inside of the neck back to the proper dimension.

126 with Para pad does fit standard grip, but I couldnt hardly get 20 in mine.

+1 for IonBond. Its a little pricey, looks great and holds up very well.

Any chance that some of the difference that you perceived was due to the different platforms? Plastic gun vs steel, etc.? Ive heard a lot of talk about folk going back to black, but I don't think that any color is better for everyone. Its all about what you as an individual see/shoot with the best.

Seems to me that the rivet would suffice for "permanent". Dont make it any worse than it has to be.

TG is not optimal for coated bullets. Would be really smoky at a minimum.

Ive heard tell that 165's in a lightened 6" gun are the cats ...tail. Im just about to find out myself. You might even go down to 155 since you arent trying to make major.

Now, I have another problem. The white polymer screw that appears to be in place to remove play between the dustcover and holster has lost its head (head broke off screw). What to do about this? Thanks.

Only if your rifle/barrel combo generates the same velocity and your scope is mounted with same bore offset (height above bore) as the spec for the reticle calls for. Little differences will not make much difference inside 3-400 yds, but will start making a pretty big difference a little farther out.

Thanks for reply. Turns out its an M3.

Seat em a smidge deeper (1.13-1.15) and re-crimp and roll on.

The sierra 135's were already mentioned, and the speer 125's are also handy for shorter range "hoser" stuff. Ive shot both out to 250 with success. Ive also seen guys load 110 gr .30 carbine projectiles and use them successfully for short stuff. For the short range stuff you just need it to function and be as cheap as possible. Then use whatever your rifle likes for the "precision"/longer-range portions of the match.

Ive heard people say that they have had bad experiences with these, and they certainly may have. Ive been through about 10K large pistol and large rifle and 5K small pistol without any issues. And, the price I paid was much better than I could find on anything else. My experience was with Tula. I say go with it.

Ah c'mon, somebody knows...

Im in this situation now. Anybody know the thread pitch for the two little screws. Im sure CR/Rescomp would gladly send them, but I bet I could get them locally for much less cost/hassle. Pete mentioned metric, but not the actual pitch...?

I too cashed in a cert from a prize table a while back. They are a fantastic company that turns out great stuff for very reasonable prices. And, they are great sponsors of so many matches.

Recoil spring is dependant on load and even striker spring weight. Lots of the 9mm guys are running something in the 10-13# range. Cant go too light unless you lighten the striker spring though. As far as the guiderod goes, SSS has been my source, and they have been my magwell choice as well.

I know some folk use the "oversize" bullets in super and SC, just have to be mindful of pressure, and could have some effect on accuracy, good or bad.
