  1. ok so here it goes all the data I got from todays session with the pumped up loads.

remember gun is a stock trubor 9mm with no holes and t-2 comp

my normal load is 7.3 grains of auto comp

behind a 124 delta prec. JHP @1.165 with a wolf small rifle primer.

this load gave me 177 pf today over a five shot string but i suspect a heavy drop on one round I ususally get 175 out of it

now the new load and i will start with what seems at first with an initial reaction better than my autocomp load.

    8.5 grains of Hs-6

    124 delta Prec. JHP

    oal 1.165

    wolf SRP

    5 shot string

    pf 175

Ok this load seemed better than my autocomp load at the same power factor and here is why. TO ME!!! this load has different impulse. ITs more like shooting a .38 super. Its softer in the hand and the dot tracks up as fast as it tracks down. My auto comp load the dot track up slowly than snaps back down. This load it seems to just move a little and drops back to center really fast.

pretty much the same as above load. but the impulse is better on the 1.165 load

I am not really going to comment on the 115's just to say they where nearly the same dot movement as the 124 and softer but i did not like the impulse. so here is the data period

great dot movment very soft in the hand almost the same impulse as the 124 no pressure signs

ok with all that said. It seems like 8.5 grains with a 124 jhp @ 1.165 is the best load out of this gun so far just for slow fire and rapid fire dot tracking and impulse. I will run my drills and compare the numbers against my auto comp load. but i can say right now the dot tracking is much better with Hs-6 in this gun. I really like the slow burp impulse compared to the faster crack of the autocomp and hs-6 with 115

  2. well I will see tomorrow. I got 8.6 grains hs-6 behind a 124 and 8.8 , 9.0 and 9.2 behing a 115 all jhp all @ 1.165 will report it on my other post its going to take alot to beat my auto comp load.

You are starting at 8.6? That seems high to start off with. I did a ton of reading on here before i did my loads and most are using 8.0 - 8.2. My gun seems slow and 8.2 was only 163 PF in mine but I seem to have the slowest Trubor on the forums. Your loads for the 115 seem inline with what most use.

    Use caution!

OK anyone want to buy some autocomp?!?! lol no I have to test this new load with reps on my drills but i will see.

GNG I promise you dont have the slowest trubor on here. There is plenty data with that high of a charge with a 124. HOWEVER with that said see this post link to conversation about hs-6 with most of the people on this thread I have already went that route. Also why did you stop @ 8.2 grains did you see pressure signs? I mean I keep going till I hit the Pf I want or I start seeing primers getting flat.

  3. Thanks you are 100% correct Bo are you shooting poplervil tomorrow? . Cha I used your advice today about widening my stance it made shooting around walls so much better!!!

I tried to incorporate what you guys where saying. check this video particularly the first stage. Notice how I step/pivot into a wide stance to shoot around the wall. Worked great!

  4. hey O how does that gun shoot? I bet its pretty sweet yeah? TO me your primers look ok. just watch for the edges make sure they stay nice and round. I have found that srp also give me a little boost in PF as well.

  5. Hello: You will need a little more HS-6 to make major with the 115's HS-6 is softer than Auto Comp. HS- 6 is also cleaner burning up at 171-173PF.

how full is the case with 9grains of HS-6? One of the things I like about AC is that it only fills my case about 3/4 full at 7.3 grains.

+1. That's one of the reasons I switched from HS-6 in my TruBor

to WAC and the 124 grain bullet - lots of room in the case,

and felt "softer" than the HS6/115 grain.

    Jack

Yeah jack I am afraid I am going to have get up over 9 grains with the 115 to get where i want and not sure that is going to be a safe load. I am going to move to 8.8 then 9 then 9.2 and see how it goes. I think I can get what i want out of the 124 and hs-6 also but i am not sure yet it is going to replace my autocomp load.

ok so its going to take a ton more powder to even get major.

I am out of 115s so I am going to get some more and try again this week. so far though I like the hs-6 with the 124 even at the lower power factor.

so I am going to try 8.5 grains with the 124 and 9 grains with the 115 to see where I am at.

  7. I am really happy with 7.3 grain Ac load with srp and 124 JHP @ 1.165

but my curiosity has been peeked by more gas!

I found when i run the pf up in my gun to around 175 it gets really nice with autocomp

I am going to try some hs-6 with both 124 and 115 to get some more gas to run this lacking STI t-2 comp

    will report back

starting @ 7.9 hs-6 with the 124 and 8.5 with the 115 FMJ @ 1.165 lets see how they roll

  8. hey matt I am pretty big guy too. What i have noticed is we have to work harder at being explosive out of positions. I just put up a video of my last match. Take a look at it. I have to really be aware of my movements from spot to spot. you just have to make the decision to move quick and hard and it will happen. My advice move hard be explosive the shooting looks pretty good.

  9. every lone wolf bbl in every caliber I ever owned had to be opened up to shoot lead. the KKM bbls never had that problem. I think lonewolf does this because they know comp shooters will always reload most of the time and the can scam 35 bucks out of them. This is why i stopped using their products.

  10. First thing is I have been shooting through my chronny @ about 10+ yards. so my results always seemed slower than every one else today i moved it up to 10 feet per uspsa rules ( min ten feet to first screen )

this is out of my trubor no holes trubor t-2 comp

I am going to try some 115's and hs-6 just for grins but i really like this load. dot moves slow to the top of the lens and slaps back to center. feels soft and pretty good accuracy.

  11. I have tried HS-6 but never really cared for it. But i never really run it up to 170 +. I am toying with the Idea of trying some hs-6 with some 115s

or since i have 8 lbs of auto comp getting some 121 ifp

  12. I am not sure why but going from a mid 168 PF to a solid 170 ( 170.8) made a HUGE differance in how my trubor 9mm major performs.

My usual load is 7.1 Gr of auto comp behind a 124 gr JHP with a wolf SRP I get 168- 169 PF. feels good, shoots soft, decent dot movement hits the top of the lens drops right back to center.

For no reason in particular I tried 7.3 grains of auto comp. Well I thought maybe i could get a little less dot movement. What i found was that i didnt get any less motion but WOW.

This is a trubor with a T-2 comp. It has not been cut on at all but has had all the bells and whistles every place else. trigger ect.

OK @ 170 power factor in this gun it just flat shoots! I can't really explain it. The slide seems to cycle faster is feels softer to shoot it feels balanced. It feels tuned. just that little bit of difference in power factor.

I did not get any huge difference in actual movement of the dot in the lens. But what happens is the dot moves much slower and just a little less high in the lens and quickly snaps back to center.

Is this a common thing and i wonder if I moved it up to 171 solid if i would get a little bit better performance. However with that said I was seeing 1 in maybe 10 rounds with the ever so slight evidence of primer flattening.

    here is my data

I am thinking about bumping up to 7.4 grains to be certain i am always just a bit above above 170

BTW it seems my bbl is slow compared to what others report @ this charge.

  13. Thats what i am thinking jack. I was going to use them for practice and local matches. I have like 30K of them. I have yet to find a primer my trubor wont set off though with the ext pin. I always shoot wolf SRP and never have an issue.

I was just wondering if i would see increased presure or something. I think i am going to drop the load fronm 7.2 grains of AC to 6.7 and re chrony and work up from there.
