  1. I ordered them, usually wear a 11.5 but took the comment advice and ordered 1/2 size larger and they fit perfect.
  2. Just used my new Boombah Resistance Turf shoes for the first time this weekend. Wow, these things are light, comforable and have great grip on gravel and turf. The best part is they are only $50!
  3. I have just recently caught the 3gun bug and converted my coyote gun (Bushmaster Predator) for 3gun with a Tac 30 and ace skeletonized stock. I dont mind the weight or length of it and the two stage trigger is pretty nice on the long range stuff, but my question is would I see enough benefit from having my barrel threaded and installing a comp or would I be better off leaving it alone and buy a purpose built gun down the road? Also would a Troy or JP hand guard weigh less than the aluminum that came stock? Thanks for your input! Sorry, just realized this wasn't posted in the Rifle Technical thread as I intended..
  4. ^^Sights + ammo and you are good to go!
  5. Here is the link to Wolverton Mountain's web site. This is the first one they have put on up there to see if there is much interest. There are only 3 stages. 1. pistol/rifle 2. shotgun/rifle 3. shotgun/rifle Round count: 24 pistol/ 29 birdshot/38 rifle. Usually need more! 7 1/2 and 8 bird shot only Walk through at 9:30am Sunday the 30th, $12 donation
  6. What choke for slugs, will a LM and a slug harm my barrel?
  7. Thanks for your help, that's lots of great information!
  8. I am new to 3 gun and have a Beretta Xtrema2 with a 28" bbl that I love for ducks. I guess I will just need a magazine extension to run this gun for now, should I get a +4 or +5 extension? I know you can only start with 9 in the gun max (not shooting open) but can I have the higher capacity mag downloaded to 8+1? Is there a brand of extension tube that is better than others and for the last question, is my fiber optic front sight good enough for 3 gun? Thanks in advance for your input!
  9. Thanks everyone, found a shop with both in stock and surprisingly I don't think I will notice much of a difference and since it will be competition only I will go with the 35. Thanks again!
  10. I know that the G22 or G35 topic has been pretty much covered as I have read the majority of the posts. My situation is that I have been shooting USPSA for about 1 year now using my gen4 G17 and made it to "A" and I would like to start shooting some limited 10 and limited as well as continue in production. With that said will the longer sight radius and weight of the G35 be MORE difficult for me to get used to when going back and forth to my G17?
  11. It was really hot, but what a great time! Very well coordinated, thanks to all that made it happen. Results can be found HERE:
  12. Over 2000 rounds out of my Gen4 17 in competition with no problems. I was nervous when I decided to go with the Gen4, but now I'm a big fan, mainly due to the magazine release.
  13. I'll be there, also shooting Production. Should be a good time!
  14. I have tried a bunch of different combinations on my Gen 4 17 I use for USPSA Production and finally purchased a Vanek Classic drop in for the Gen 4... I cannot believe how nice this trigger is and kick myself for waiting this long to get one.
  15. Not sure how important it is to everyone but the lenses are only "impact resistant", the following is from their user manual: "WARNING: i-Kam Xtreme glasses contain impact resistant lenses; they are NOT safety glasses. Although the lenses are impact resistant, it does not make the lenses shatterproof. Impact resistant lenses may break or shatter under certain conditions."
  16. 1. I usually load up 5 - 10 different varieties of loads (5 rounds each) generally about .2 grain difference in powder with a common COAL and choose from those which work best. Then I start working on COAL and really dialing in the round. 2. I use Shot Data Systems for all my log book needs, its easy as I can print what I need when I need it.
  17. I am new to reloading for pistol so I apologize if this has been covered. I have been loading 9mm with 3.8 Titegroup, rainier 124gr HP and a OAL of 1.125. My question is that I have just purchased some rainier 124gr RN, the length of the HP's are .555 and the RN are .595, so do I adjust my OAL or still use 1.125? By the way I am using a Dillon 550 with the Lee deluxe die set. Thanks for your help.
  18. Just getting into USPSA shooting and am looking at the Comp Tac "slide" belt holster so it will work with my G19, G17 and G35. My question is will the shorter holster cause the front sight on the G17 and G35 to hang up or should I just go with a dedicated full length holster? Any input from people who have used them would be great.
  19. Going to purchase a Glock 35 for IPSC and figure I had better get set up for reloading the .40. I have a Dillon 550 but have never done pistol ammo on it and am wondering what dies I should use. EGW U die and Lee for the rest or just the Dillon dies? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Sounds like the G35 might be the way to go, I have all the reloading gear except for .40 dies and I guess I was a little concerned about the "un/under supported chamber" in Glock .40's, but i keep reading that it has been improved in the last 3-4 years. Do I have reason to be concerned as long as I am following booked loads?
  21. Oh, I guess there is also the G21sf. Knew I forgot something.
  22. Just getting back into shooting and went to my first competitive shoot (IPSC) two weekends ago using my carry Glock 19. Well to say the least I am hooked!! My question is that I have a HK USP .40 that I am not really that fond of anymore and was trying to decide if I were to sell it would I replace it with the G17 Gen 4 or G35. Most of our comps around the area are IPSC/USPSA and pin shoots, I really like the shoot-ability and simplicity of the Glocks. Any input would be great.
