  1. I have had 2 870's for duck guns and both did the same as above. My dads duck gun, the same. Only one I have shot that worked right was an OLD wing master. Replaced with a nova that hasn't missed a beat, but neither have my berettas.
  2. I think I may still have a black Nordic +5 or 6 with the spring and follower that I purchased for my Beretta xtrema 2 duck gun before buying my SLP, pretty sure they are the same for the nova's. Only used once since my 28" barrel was just way too long. I'll check and let you know if you're interested.
  3. Thanks, as Vluc pointed out, the rounding of edges is the hard part.
  4. X2 I tried one years ago and had the same experience. I have the Zev stainless one provided with the Fulcrum kit in a pistol and have not seen the same issues. Good to know, do they sell it individually?
  5. Ok, downloaded it and that's a cool app! Can't wait to test it out!
  6. Don't get one. Just polish the stock one and add a light weight spring. I tried two of them and both actually got pretty chewed up in the sides after a thousand rounds or so.
  7. Thanks guys, that makes perfect sense. I have loaded up some test loads from 24-25 of h335 for the 55gr. I will test over a chrono then see where the most accurate crosses those MOA marks using JBM, then test that data out on the range.
  8. Production: G17 3 Gun: G17 Limited: G17 (have G22 just haven't used it yet) Limited 10: G17 (same as above) Carry: G19 I like the K.I.S.S. approach...
  9. 5+1, on multiple occasions I have gone to them all. Not just because of round count, but with the spread of arrays and lots of steel it just made sense to reload on my way.
  10. I thought that's what I was seeing in the picture, even wondered if that's what the title was leading too.
  11. I'm looking for some help on loads to replicate the drop in the Burris Tac30, here is what I have to work with. Bullets: Hornady 55gr fmjbt w/c Nosler 69gr custom competition Powder: H335 Varget TAC I hear a lot of people getting good results from 24.5-25 of H335 with the 55gr but do they match the reticle, or is there a sight in distance variation that makes things line up?
  12. I just finished doing 1000 223 rds without a 1200, my process was as follows. 1. Tumble to clean 2. Lube 3. FL resize and deprime on Rockchucker 4. Tumble to remove lube 5. Swage with Dillon Super Swage 6. Run through case gauge 7. Trim brass that needed it on Lyman power trimmer then chamfer 8. Load on 550: S1-Decapping Die, S2-Powder, S3-Bullet, S4-crimp Needless to say it was a PITA and took forever but I have another 10k pieces of brass and need to speed things up, it looks like the 2 tool head setup with the 1200 on the 550 may be my best bet. With the 1200 on the 550 can you crank out brass at the normal rate of 500 per hour?
  13. Thanks for posting, makes it easy on the flat screen when its too cold in the garage!
  14. What barrel length did you choose? I hope it serves you well. The Carbon Arms Upper Chassis has a Nordic Upper, Nordic 18" barrel and Carbon Arms Hand Guard. I am adding a JP LMOS BCG and Buffer along with a Miculek comp, BCM gunfighter charging handle and JP mount to finish the top end. For the lower I chose a Firebird Precision Lower, JP lower parts kit w/o trigger, Geissele super dynamic 3 gun trigger and ace stock and Hogue grip. I sure hope it rocks as much as I think it will!
  15. Thanks for your replies, I ended up ordering the Carbon Arms Upper Chassis and will complete the the lower build myself. Mark at Carbon Arms has been fantastic to work with, quick to reply and answered all of my questions!
  16. Looking to get a dedicated upper for 3 Gun and am seeking opinions on weather I should be looking at assembling my own custom (no experience doing this) or just purchasing a Stag, Carbon Arms (like a lot) or something else? I shoot about 12 matches a year and ranges out to about 500 so I am looking for something durable and capable without breaking the bank. It looks like the Carbon Arms doesn't come with a BCG or comp. I have a comp but, any suggestions on a BCG if I go this way? Does a mil-spec BCG hold you back that much? Thanks for your input!
  17. Ok, for those of you shooting hand load 55gr, what is your bullet of choice? Like I have said, I have only been shooting the cheap stuff meaning any off the shelf 55gr fmj, American eagle, umc, etc.
  18. Perhaps a poll would be beneficial...
  19. This might be in the wrong area, but I was wondering how many of you use 2 separate loads for your rifles, 1 for short and 1 for long range. I have only been shooting cheap 55gr fmj for everything but my long range game is week. I worked up some 69gr smk with 25.3grs of Varget and was thinking of using them for long range and cheap stuff for the close range. Am I over thinking this or as usual, cheap ammo is cheap?
  20. Nothing to do with sending to USPSA. No reason to. Thanks Chuck, your wish must have come true and it blew out of the truck..
  21. I wonder if it has something to do with having to send it to USPSA first? Must be some reason as the .txt file would be so small it could have been posted or emailed from a smart phone at the range.
