  1. So I have been near death, through the ringer and dragged through the mud. My arm has been been bothering me quite a bit lately. I have pulled a tendon in it. It is painful to grip my gun still. My stomach has also been acting up. In and out of the hospital, generally feeling like shit. Finally making a turn for the better, I hope to be back in action soon!
  2. What ammo are you using, is it factory or hand loads?
  3. Good to know about overdoing it! Here's the mix on White Monkey Holding Peach: Methyl Salicylate 3% Camphor 22% Menthol 19% Eucalyptus oil 3% Cinnamon Oil .80% Peppermint .70% Clove Oil .70%
  4. White monkey Holding Peach: Methyl Salicylate Camphor Menthol Eucalyptus Oil Cinnamon Oil Peppermint Oil Clove Oil Kwan Loong Oil: Mehtyl Salicylate Menthol Eucalyptus oil Spike Lavender Oil Light Mneral Oil And yeah, the Vietnamese really have some kick ass soups!
  5. It is likely a crimp issue. In .40 I had some issues with the plating coming off, way too much crimp, backed it off to .421 and no more issues. I would start there!
  6. Gerwin, You need to update this thing man! Are you still shooting that M&P of mine?
  7. I just found the end-all be-all for sore muscles. If you ever have a sore or pulled muscle, try this stuff called "White Monkey holding Peach balm". You can find it at your local Asian Market it's cheap, smells great and it works better than anything I have tried! There is also a Great product called Kwan Loong Oil which is great for massaging into a sore area. I went to the Asian market to pick up some stuff for Pho Ga and the lady noticed I had my arm wrapped, so she schooled me in Old school Asian home remedies - sweet!
  8. I kinda wish I started out in production, at first I was a bit intimidated by the 10 round mags and all the mag changes costing me time. I would be much much better at reloads if I started off that way. Production is fun and more economical.
  9. If you're ever in Myrtle Beach, look me up! We have an active lodge and do good work. And we are fortunate to get many visiting Brothers from all over being a tourist destination.
  10. Your name looks familiar for some reason, who are you?
  11. Ok so here's a quick blurb about today's match: Overall today was a decent match I finished 3rd overall and 2nd in Limited @ 99.815% of a M class shooter. I was not feeling good for the first three stages, I had some funky stomach thing going on and it was rather hard to concentrate on anything but the gnawing in my gut. I really wanted to execute my entries and exits well today and I felt I did a decent job of doing so. Not 100% but getting much better, it makes a huge difference when you execute entries/exits properly. Accuracy was decent, had some trouble on some head shots which is totally my own fault, I did not practice since adjusting my sights and I chose to set up on a difficult position to save time, live and learn. Also, I wasted some time on taking extra shots. This has always been an issue for me, need to get away from this, yesterday. The gun ran pretty well, I had one issue where it did not fully go into battery, I believe I induced this. Luckily I was able to get the gun back in action without losing time as I was moving. I missed to really really easy reloads today with sweaty hands. Training point: don't forget the pro grip on a hot day! Having naturally sweaty hands makes it difficult at times. So today was a mix, some good some bad. I honestly feel like I could have done much better. Just have to keep training hard and things will work themselves out. As the old saying goes: "The more I practice, the luckier I get.."
  12. I don't go to other sites because of all that talk. Always liked the world Brian created here. +1 man, I hear that. The other places are pretty icky. Brian has done it right here! The other thing is: 99% of the "Tacticool" drivel spewed about by "Tactical Timmy's" is a crock of BS. Most of them have no freaking idea how it works in the real world. Most likely they never leave the confines of their "Command Center"(Mommy & daddies house) nor, do they even get out to the range more than once every two years to put a box o' fitty sheels thru dey blasta. The disinformation highway, what a ride.. Where I am at Geographically, we get a lot of Mil guys and I give them all the props in the world. Much respect for our Men & Women who do work in uniform. They always have a place on my squad. We also get our fair share of the tactical timmy types, they usually don't shoot more than one or two matches once they realize that their fantasy tactical ninja bubble has burst in a big way. The excuses they come up with kinda make me chuckle(especially when they drag their high maintenance girlfriends out to watch the carnage)
  13. Thank you Paul, I appreciate the kind words! See you next match
  14. Geoff, I warned you that I was going to bring the pain! It was a fun match man, see you next Sunday man! Get your gun fixed!
  15. Maybe it's time to chill for a few days? The last thing you want to do is force it, shoot for the sake of shooting and reinforce bad juju. Take a few days man, it's not a crime.
  16. Man hang in there! Everyone has those days, next match will be a new day. Your mag changes were nice and fast!
  17. Today is match day! I missed last month's Ant Hill USPSA match and I am quite excited to attend this match. In my opinion, Ant Hill puts on the best USPSA match around. The matches at Ant Hill are typically very challenging for my skill sets with lots of long shots, tight positions and no-shoots. Today the objective is: Go out like a GANGSTA: Cool, calm, collected and shoot a solid match. I need to shoot my own game, go out for as many possible points and, avoid penalties. Use active visualization, conduct detailed walk-throughs and plan my entries and exits. Also, Identify my marks and get to the shooting. Also, going to try and not get hung up in chatter and the like, need to stay focused. So if I act like a dick today, I don't mean it, just trying to keep my head in the game. Got back to a little dry fire the past two days after pulling a muscle in my forearm, I didn't want to push it and make it worse. I have no idea how I pulled it but, it freaking hurts! Still a little tender, but I am able to shoot. I had the week off my coach was talking about(i was trying to avoid taking any time off) due to pulling the muscle. Time to get back to work. Note to self: DO WORK SON! Also, have a new dry fire schedule created by my Coach, looking forward to it. I was getting bored with the old stuff.
  18. Doctrine: Shoot all Alphas you TWIT

  19. A few weeks back rangerguy and myself were practicing and we decided we would hit the rifle range with our pistols for fun. At 175 yards I asked him if he saw a dirt clump about the size of a softball on the right edge of the berm. While he was looking he bagan to say he saw it as I was letting a shot go, it smashed the dirt clump. He looks at me and says "yeah that dirt clump"
  20. Very Cool, nice to meet you. We have a PDDGM from Ohio in our Lodge. From what I hear, there are some interesting differences in the Work. Hope to see you on the Range someday!
  21. Ya man, that sounds kinda dangerous. Maybe your aftermarket barrel would handle it but it's still kinda sketchy man.
  22. Geoff push'em to 1500, it won't hurt anything
