Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Spiritual?? HaHaHa! You do need too get out more.
  2. Really? I guess we all have our own standards for what is considered a great job. I have had this issue since I bought my 1050 two years ago and have been working with Dillon tech support since then with no resolution. For what I paid for the press, this should have been resolved years ago. Do some reading in the archives here and you will see that the majority of users have some issues with this.
  3. Hmmm....Interesting post. I have owned many open and limited guns over the years and I agree with everything you have said except.... 1) No Magazine Tuning. I also use SV tubes exclusively but I always tune them myself and they almost always need it. 2) Reliability packages never are needed on stock STI or SV guns. All of the ones I have owned have needed some type of work for optimum reliability. Thats it. Everything else I agree with
  4. Seems like suggesting that someone "look through the dot" makes it difficult to understand. I ALWAYS focus on the target and superimpose the dot on that. The dot may at first seem out of focus. As time goes on and you train your eyes to work with a "target focus" you should start to see the dot clearly. I also suggest that you work towards keeping both eyes open.
  5. The antenna redesign had little to do with technical deficiencies of the old design and everything to do with compensating for AT%Ts poor network coverage. From the standpoint of a design engineer this is Comical really....
  6. Yup. Gotta agree. Seems some of our locals in area2 take liberties with the rules that they shouldn't and unfortunately most folks who know better dont have the cajones to speak up about it. If you feel strongly about it, speak up or nothing will ever improve.
  7. Todd.. I have a dremel tool, and a soldering iron Wow! Thats a picture.
  8. Read the archives. This is pretty universal when the system is not squeaky clean...Lets face it, the 550B primer system is poorly designed. They obviously saved a couple of bucks and passed the headaches onto us. Lots of tweeks, none of them does enough to make this system reliable.
  9. They're out of the closet now I believe "gamer" was coined as an insulting term for an IPSC competitor in general as in "he plays games instead of real life training". Never liked the term.
  10. Gotta agree with Larry on this one.
  11. Thanks for the info guys. Ill let you know how it shoots when I get out to the range with the new rifle.
  12. I have been given a large amount of Porteguese Military Surplus 308 ammo made by FN and sealed in battlepacks. It appears to all be mid 70s production. It is loaded with Copper washed mild steel 147 grain FMJs. I have been told not to run it through my JP LRP07 because the steel jackets will prematurely wear the bore. My gut says that the mild steel is no harder than gilding metal and it should not be an issue. What say the gurus here? Anyone here run it?
