  2. YIKES! Someone is in trouble. LOL... Just tell her your looking at some ideas on the net to make it look good for the hunnybunny, Lol! You should have just got the machine and brought in one piece at a time, and steave up the street is moving and has no space for it so he gave it to you for a few bucks! Lol.... As your holding a fresh open dillon box with that new car smell. Standing over the plastic the pieces came in! Lol...
  3. @ Cali, didn't you use to put a piece of brass also? You had this problem for some time now, I remember your post! @Charlie, I use CCI lpp and Win lpp and has no problem on my 550 and if their is a problem its usually cause right where the primer tube is it is dirty and I Fix it by taking the primer tube apart and wiping it down with alcohol wipes and presto I'm back in the mixx! Any hooo, welcome and take the "Blue Pill" already! You won't regret it!
  4. Marki, there are lots of pics of over pressure primers on the forum, the search function is your friend.... Here is one.... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42786&hl=overpressure&st=25 http://www.reloadbench.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/001475.html @ Grumpy1 thanks for the links, what ddes it mean when some of the primers metal looks as if it was re seated and there is signs of ware on the outer part of the ring of the primer I don't see no signs of pressure where the hammer hits in the center? Imma try to send a picture

  6. @ bzt, WOW! Glad to know you and your pistol are okay! You said you got ta dillon scale? Well if this helps I use a Cabela's model xt1500 for about 90 bucks after tax's, it so far works well, very sensitive can't have a fan blowing on it or it will fluctuate the measurement.. WOW!! I'm still shocked to read that you double loaded and your still able to come up with this topic! Gad your okay would have sukd to blow up your gun! I second that taking it to a gun smith and get your weapon checked out! Thanks for your post cause I am a newbee too.... @ you pro's, was mentioned that your primers show signs does any one have any picture's of your primers showing signs of high pressure and or double loads? Also would the crimp add or make this pressure?
  7. Welcome to the forums a lot ta great info and help, all you got ta do is look or ask!
  8. Welcome , this place is great what ever info you need or curious about, just post and ask and get ready for tons of info by some of the greatest people in this BE's forums! Coming from a newbe! And again welcome to the forum...
  9. I use the Cabela's tumbler kit, 65 bucks and came with corn cobb media, sifter and polish its not too loud, and works great the thing I'm not crazy about is the sifter is not as fast as a squirrel cage or as clean ut it is a starter .. I also don't over load with brass then again imma newb at this so what do I know? What I do know thoe is if your a newb too you can save the extra money that you would have spent on a high price tumbler and buy your components like bullets, primers and powders. I'm not saying not to get a good name brand like Dillon, cause I still got my eyes on the little tumbler. Also I don't tumble my brass over 3hr's not saying I never let it run over night on accident! oops!
  10. Welcome not sure if your by Crown Poin,In , but they are having there Gun and Knife show this weekend in their Fair Grounds! Hope to see you there!
  11. Thanks for the 411 Glockman1K, I was misunderstanding you about you using a bolt! You where using a lee die as a ram gotcha. So say I was to use my Dillon Dies (.40) for re sizing, -the decaping pin my shellplate will hold my brass in place to keep from getting jammed or stuck in my resizing die? And from what it sounds like you Resize nickel too, would I damage my die if I resized for nickle brass? And @ the range I came across some brass what I most likely think is wolf brass nickle is ok to reload and wolf brass is a no go right? Ya you are right how the GR-X die works. As for me having no space I will later get a single if needed until I wanna save money for my grocery needs(reloading components) till I got this caliber perfected then on to my next cal!
  12. You better get a Patton number for this! Sounds like a good idea, but to much work no? How did you get the threading off? And not sure if I was to make this I would make it properly! And still sound like I would need a separate single stage pressand at the moment I don't got the space .
  13. @Vlad, I guess you wasnt messin around a 10 rnd magg can be made if this guy was useing his .44 mag in a Ipsa! and well I dont think he did to bad for being a beast! 17. That doesnt sound too bad not sure of the price what do you think it would go if I did try that duo tone? how are your sights? was thinkin of trijicon but have not seen any net! come on Cali let the monster out for a little! lol...

  19. Thinking to customizing my DE .44 mag. Little history on this bad mammajamma I got it from a friend as a favor, so It would'nt matter if I threw some extra money into it right? I mean the only thing I bought for it was 2 extra magz... It is a older Model Mark VII, the finish on it seems to be dull black with some some fade from the holster. The grips are factory kinda dull and dingy with IM logo, the sights are factory fixed and I dont like em because in low light it kinda hard to line it up with my target & quickly my wife also doesnt like the sights. I was thinking of a two tone finish that would stand out, not that it dont get the attention, I already turn heads with this beast along with the loads I have made for it(THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED!) I was also thinking to add a scope, would that be too much? does anyone have any ideas or suggestions would be greatful
