  1. I own the Type B, I will post pics later today, working now.
  2. I was lucky and found one on a local board. The pistol in my opinion is outstanding, worth every penny. It comes with black rear FO front installed, 4 magazines and a nice range bag so there is no need to spend an additional $150 (mag plus sights) like most polymer guns. Outside and inside, the gun shows a high quality finish level, with a very good attention to detail. Full length rails on both sides. Feels very solid. It has a locking block mechanism for the barrel which reduces the barrel movement enormously. For clarity, this is not the typical tilt barrel Browning. It is a VERY flat shooter, the sights barely move from the A zone after firing the first shot. The barrel lock plus the very low bore axis combined provide an excellent shooting platform. I shot two local matches with factory ammo as my loads were a bit long for the short barrel throat (it works fine after loading some rounds at 1.100) and I won them both. So shooting a gun I never shot with ammo I am not familiar with, and had no issues at all. The trigger does not get hot, and it's designed to help with a straight pull back. The texture of the grip is excellent, very detailed and not painful. The undercut helps a lot, along with the beavertail. Being left handed, I was amazed at how easy it is to swap the mag release, I have never seen anything like it: inserting the mag backwards releases the button, which can then be swapped without tools while standing at the range. It's quite incredible and unprecedented. The Glock-like trigger safety is at the back of the trigger, not the front so while it provides the same level of safety it does not get in the way at all. So in conclusion I am really convinced this is the best polymer on the market. I have owned and shot a VP9 and the PPQ, own and like the P10c a lot, shot Glocks and M&P's intensively so I am quite familiar with the top polymer pistols on the market. They don't even come close in my opinion. I am sure I have forgotten plenty, happy to answer questions if there are any.
  3. What application is he using to get the repeat beeps? My timer doesn’t do that.
  4. I only shoot outdoor, will wait for the temperature to increase then will leave some rounds in the sun, around here that sure heats up things some.
  5. I hand loaded and tested 5 loads, 2 with Ramshot Competition, 3 with Titegroup. Results are posted below. My impression is that lube made a world of difference, particularly with Ramshot, which fills the case a lot more and was very prone to fly out when I was slamming the lever down to free the deprimed cases off the first position. The smooth operation of the press was clearly noticeable, the press shellplate was clean and powder free. Obviously hand loading ensured consistency, and I did notice minor variations from round to round, but in the .1 grain range. Here are the results, hoping to add something useful to the body of information available here. The loads were all with BBI 135gr, loaded at 1.095 which works perfectly in my CZ P10C. Temperature outside 57F, no idea what the pressure was. Finally, my impression of the 3.8 RSC was very good, and actually so was of the 3.3 Titegroup. Both accurate, both with a good recoil impulse. Thank y'all! EDIT: a question: since my chrono has a memory and review function, I tend to load a mag and shoot rapidly all the shots then I review them and write them down. Does that affect the result somehow?
  6. Well, today I prepared 3 batches at 3.8, 3.9, 4.0 A few things learnt: 1) lubing is the s%$^, makes everything easier. No hurt shoulder, no spills. 2) hand loading is telling, there are measurable variations between drops. 3) hand loading is exhausting, but you learn to be very deliberate and precise. The only thing I forgot to do was hand picking the brass. In a way I am OK with it, this has to work with my courtyard pickings. When I go to the range, I will position the chrono farther, 10ft. Thank you for the kind repliesl this thread is teaching me a few interesting things. Will reports results.
  7. No, have shot it through a P10C and a Sphinx SDP only so far. Wasn’t concerned about making PF with a longer barrel so I didn’t test it. The Sphinx is pretty though, and it fed fine.
  8. Thank you, I was wondering if there was was some technique I wasn’t aware of. Now it makes sense. Will do.
  9. Funny Edison mentioned inflammation of the shoulder. I have AC separation in my right shoulder and a pretty big cartilage tear, and when I reload it oftentimes burns like hell, so you can only imagine how I welcome the lubing recommendation. I will I’ll add some case cleaner also to my cleaning medium and lube cases in a ziplock. Will do my best to load consistent brass with the new loads and run the chrono 10ft. The only thing that I am not clear about is the suggestion to “hand load” in a prior post. What does that mean?
  10. I have ordered that from Amazon and actually hit “subscribe and save”. Why do Dillon reps say don’t use it though? What’s their reasoning?
  11. Well, I sort of like it. I acknowledge that I can make PF, however it is dirty and with a very snappy recoil. When I shot RSC I saw my sights come back on target without barely leaving it, a much better recoil than I have experienced so far. Hope that explains how I feel. I am definitively going to lube. Am away from home for a few days but next week it’s OneShot all the way. EDIT Also, I just bought 2 8lbs jugs of RSC, got a deal from a relative of a reloader who passed. So there is that. Will also secure the correct distance from the chrono.
  12. I have noticed that, sometimes I stop thinking am loading a .380 brass but it turns out it’s just a small 9mm case. I will do that, but since I only use range brass I would like to find a recipe that works with what I have.
  13. I am trying to find a good load that will run well and make PF in my CCP gun as well so that I can simplify life. I have just bought 3,500 135 gr BBI bullets hoping to focus on them, since I prefer the shape of the 135 to that of the 147 bullets at least for BBI. That said, if you have a recipe that makes PF in a 4” or so gun (CZ P10C) I am listening.
  14. I will get the sticky issue fixed, will use a gallon size ziplock as I have read on the forum. I used it in the past, I stopped after the people at Dillon told me not to., Hand weigh? What do you mean? I use an Hornady electronic scale, calibrate it often. I will prepare those loads and test them, does 1.090 seem reasonable in terms of OAL? I dry clean my brass, I use a generic medium, no polish. I used to let the tumbler go for 3-4 hours or so, but a Dillon technician told me that if the cases are too clean the resizing dies might stick. She said that “some carbon helps the press work better” so now I run the tumbler for 1 ½ - 2 hours only.
  15. I have very consistent velocities when using TG, very low spreads, so I tend to think this is not it. This is my latest (follows the one above) chrono test with BBI 135 gr 3.5 gr Titegroup OAL 1.090 Temp 69 1009 1001 1007 1016 1015 1014 1009 1011 1007 So I don’’t think I have an inaccurate drop, or a malfunctioning press. I set up the chrono at 5-6ft or so from the gun. file
  16. I wanted to ask if it was safe to go up since I can’t find official RSC load data anywhere for 9mm. What is the maximum for this powder I am worried because the case looks super full and am not used to it.
  17. I learnt everything about fixing my press while talking to Dillon reps, and they always told me not to,. Maybe I should when using this powder. With TG is not an issue, because the quantities are so small that very little if anything flies off the cases. Is the consensus here to lube even pistol rounds?
  18. Usually, yes. I think that what is happening with this powder is that it flies off the case when I have to pull the handle hard because of a sticky round in the resizing die (Dillon Square Deal). I noticed that the press gets very messy when I load with that powder, the mess must come from between the second and the third station.
  19. First of all THANK YOU for the great deal of information made available on this forum, very helpful for people like me. I am a prudent reloader, but not an expert one. Have been loading 9mm for a few years but recently I have encountered a new problem related to making PF in CCP. I have, on the personal recommendation from the owner of BBI, tried Ramshot Competition which, according to him, has a "much better recoil impulse" than the powder I am used to, Titegroup. The recipe was 135gr BBI, 3.8gr of Ramshot, and OAL 1.100 My average velocity was 913.7 which does not make PF, and this was shot with an SP01, outside temperature of 64. 910.8 916.6 947 898 929.2 880.7 Incidentally, I am also concerned about the spread, which seems to way higher than what I get with TG. It is a nice load, recoil seemed very linear but I need to make PF. Also, why the spread? Do you please have a recipe with RSC does makes PF even in warmer temperatures (I am in Texas).
  20. I shoot the compact regularly in CCP and absolutely love it. Trigger was gritty initially in DA, but after a few hundred rounds it has come together nicely. SA is very good, and the gun is tight and inherently very accurate. Am having a lot of fun with it.
  21. I am done with Acme. The last batch had several bullets that were out of specs, size was wrong. Wrote them and they didn't even bother to reply.
  22. Fireman, what is your OAL with this load please?
  23. I need a recommendation for a left handed holster for the Tanfoglio Limited Pro to be used in IDPA, Blade Tech only offers the right handed model. Thank you!
  24. They are not discontinued, just sold out. Am interested if you want to sell it let's talk.
  25. Please help me with recipes to make PF in IDPA with no concerns about the outside temperature, etc. Something that will make PF every time, all the time. I am familiar with two powders, Accurate 5 and Titegroup. I have no problem trying something better, but first I'd like to finish up what I have in stock. Bullets I own right now ACME 124 grains. Am loading them with 5.6 grains of Accurate. Blue 125 grains Acme 145 grains, here I could use a load or two. Sample pack of Bayou 135 grains - never loaded them, have seen a recipe here for 3.3 gr of TG, but the poster did not state what the velocity was.
