  1. The Wilson reduced power main spring lightens things up quite a bit but not enough to make the gun primer type sensitive. If using iron sights I prefer the Milletts, they give a sight picture alot like a Bomar rear sight and are alot easier to acquire then the stock S&W adjustable. SRT Driver- I like your idea about an M frame named for Jerry M.
  2. Are you looking at the .38Super or a .357 Mag. I've used a revolver for steel and bowling pins for years and love the Mikulek model, but I shoot his grips on my L frames and N frames. If they fit your hand well they work great. I usually shoot steel and don't need major loads, just shoot .38 spcl cast loads, so I've never really used the comp, I just shoot it with the cover in place. Let us know how it goes but if youlike it half as much as I do, you'll love it. Chris
  3. Sooooooooooo, is there a final answer? Thanks, Chris
  4. Thanks guys, figured that was the case but thought I'd ask. Chris
  5. This is a little off topic but after reading Shred's comment I thought I'd ask. If someone wanted to shoot a 627 revolver in L10, using .357 loads, would it be scored as minor or major. I know .357 is minimal for Major in Revolver class but does that carry over to Limited or is the .40 cal bullet requirement needed. Thanks. Chris
  6. Nice to know I wasn't the only one here to meet with the "BOARD OF EDUCATION" in the vice-principals office (only occasionally though).
  7. I bought a 002 about 7 years ago and can't find a single thing to complain about with it. It's a 6" holster and I've used it with 6" 686's, 4"686 and a 5"625 and they all work great. Loaned it to a friend this weekend and he shot a 2" Taurus out of it, had to adjust the lower screw but it ran fine. Tried the 003 but found I didn't need the adjustments after years of shooting the 002. The holster will be tight at first especially with an N frame gun leave the gun in the holster for a while if you can and back the two adjustment screws all the way out to start, it will loosen up. The Blade Tech moonclip holders wotk okay in .38spl, haven't tried them in another caliber yet. Have fun. Chris
  8. Did you see him in Crossfire Trail. A good line after he takes down two guys shooting at him. JT: "That was some good shooting" Rafe(Selleck) "That wasn't shooting, that was killing" Pretty good western. Chris
  9. Last Holloween I was anxiously awaiting my new RL550 from Dillon. The UPS truck showed up and I was waiting at the door for him. When he got off the truck he had a pretty small box. I said "Where is the big box?" He said that's it and just left me standing there with a little box of Dies and stuff . Later that night he showed up again with the big box but I made him say "trick or treat" before I'd open the door, told him I liked his costume though, gave a candy bar for the road. Love the Brown truck. Chris
  10. There were a couple of us using 625's at a match recently and one of the RO's cautioned us about where the barrel was pointing during reloads. I always point mine straight up because I have had unburned powder fall under the extractor star before and cleaning it out really kills a reload. The RO was cautioning us in case we did the same thing elsewhere. He said he knew the gun was safe with the cylinder out of the gun but it's a good thing to keep an eye on anyway and I'm practicing my reloads a little differently now. Chris
  11. Anyone seen "Last man standing"? Kind of a cheesy western/gangster but Bruce Willis' reply to : Gangster:"Guess you'll have to kil me" Bruce: "It'll hurt if I do" was kind of cool, as were the twin shoulder holstered 1911's. In one scene he's loading mags and looks like he has two or three dozen loaded and lying on the table. Have to like a movie with that much shooting.
