Just checked in at the Cobblestone in Eaton. It's not the middle of nowhere, it's the next exit past there
Greely is 15 minutes away, Ft Collins 35, Cheyenne Wy 45. The weather is beautiful. 76 and sunny.
Spent a few days in Basalt outside of Aspen. Beautiful country.
Stay tuned for pictures and video.
So I took everybody's advice and de mooned 300 rounds and put them in blue boxes.
300 rounds of .38 Short Colt weighs just under 11 pounds. I put the blue boxes in the same hard case as the revolver, and checked it in with Southwest Airlines.
Easy peasy lemon squeezey.
I'm currently just outside of Aspen, but we're driving over to Ft. Collins on Friday. Thanks for all the help.
See you guys there.
Brad
My buddy in Phoenix took over a USPSA match when nobody else would.
I make sure to thank him at every match. It's easy for us to bitch about matches, it's another thing to step up and run them.
Oh I hear you. I live in Southern California and the closest ICORE matches to me are six hours away in Phoenix AZ
Good luck on the match, I hope it's a success and continues to grow. Kudos to the guy running it. He stepped up when nobody else would.
Oh, sorry. In that case I hope it's a success. It's just when I hear "regional" I'm expecting big things.
For anybody traveling to Omaha, check out the Old Market. It's a great area to go for dinner. Lots of cool choices.
From Practiscore : The match will consist of 8 stages, with a minimum of 3 Classifiers.
So three of the eight stages are going to be classifiers?
No offense, but I'm not traveling to Nebraska to shoot classifiers. Give us running gun, I can shoot classifiers anywhere.
I always got light strikes with factory ammo. Now I only shoot reloads, with a extended firing pin, Federal Small Pistol Primers, and a 6 pound double action trigger pull.
100% reliable
.
I think it's a combination of hot loads, crappy range brass, and noon magnum primers.
Gas is just blowing past them, eating away at the bushing. I just hope it hasn't effected the frame. I'm still waiting on a picture of the area after it's been cleaned.
